Honestly, I wouldn't recommend. We were looking for a cheap laptop, but should have spent the extra money on a nicer one. Overall it was slow and cheaply made. It did last several years with kids using it.

For the price I was expecting the 'you get what you pay for' to come in, but boy was I surprised with a laptop that ended up being fantastic especially for the price! Performance is surprising and I get about 5 hours of battery on high performance mode! Even under load I've never seen the laptop get any where near hot enough for it to be uncomfortable on my lap. Coming in at the sale price of $309.99 this is the laptop you have to buy! The only con is that the best buy service I encountered was less than perfect, After the guy went on about warranties for about 2-3 minutes I told him I wasn't interested and it seemed he got angry and walked away not thanking us for our purchase or anything.

Setup was a snap and went right to windows 10 upgrade during the initial setup with no issues. Happily surprised to see very little bloatware. Keep in mind the following is exactly what I expected given how inexpensive the unit was. Decent screen with a smallish viewing angle. Adjustment of screen angle is key. Keybaord is average but the keys labels are brighter than most and I had no issues using it. Sound is what you would expect with a laptop in this range. Use buds or phones if you want higher quality. This will be used for email, web surfing, watching video, and light doc editing tasks. The i3 processor is more than up to handling these tasks. Has a number pad and the caps lock has an led. Given the low price point, I am quite satisfied.

I bought this for $279 during Christmas and have used this computer for about a year now as my spare laptop. I would definitely buy another one when it comes on sale for my son for school instead of a tablet. The pros: 1. It is thin and light. 2. The laptop starts up fast and do not come with too much junk programs to bog down the speed. 3. Nice built in DVD/RW player 4. Adequate USB ports with 1 high speed 3.0 5. 1 TB hard drive is nice 6. The battery life is good 7. I am able to upgrade RAM but I have not had the need. Cons: 1. I did have an issue with the keyboard which is why I rated it a 4 star. The keyboard is cheap so it is not very good if you are a keyboard fanatic. The keyboard space bar was sticking so I turned it in for warranty. 2. I did have to pay for the shipping to get it repaired. But they did fix the problem within 1 week.

This PC is great. It was fast & sleek and did the job. Economical in price but not quality. The only thing I didn't like, was the mouse/touchpad. I feel it was not sensitive to the touch. To click, required too much effort as opposed to my Dell.

It my first Lenovo laptop and I am pretty impressed. Great laptop for the price range compared to other brands with similar configuration. Would have given 5 stars but for the battery. It is the perfect laptop for my sixth grader daughter.

Very happy with this laptop. Initial setup took about 10 min, then did the upgrade to Windows 10. I was up and running within 2 hours. It come with 4GB Installed, The laptop have a free memory slot. I did upgrade my laptop to 16GB with that free slot. Internal HD is a Western Digital blue. This is a very good deal for the price.

Great for school and everday use,not for gaming

Only thing that i recommend is replacing the under performance hard drive with an ssd. the hard drive was a bottleneck. Additonal ram would def help alot. there is no dedicated graphics card so dont get your hopes up with playing games on high fps. you can somewhat play a few games on low fps but the game wont be as fluid as you would like it to be. This laptop is amazing for everyday use, like surfing the web, watching netflix movies. doing your homework. And on top of that the sound quality of this laptop is very superb. very loud! doesnt have a backlit keyboard but thats just a personal pefference. i bought this for college use only and it is amazing. if you are looking for video editing and gaming then def look for an i7 with a dedicated graphics card or a desktop with the same specs. this is great entry level laptop for students and casual people.

    Lacking

Overall, I think that the laptop was great when it came to its functions like surfing the internet and watching movies. I purchased it in hopes of using it as a writing tool since I am an avid writer however, the keyboard is lacking in my opinion. For someone that types as fast as I do, it tends to skip letters. You must press on them long enough for the letters to register. It didn't fit my needs in that aspect.

This was an exchange PC for an ASUS that turned out to be a dud and it's very user friendly and much better than anticipated. This is a great PC for the price.

The laptop gets a 5. Replaced my 5 year old Compaq with this, use for work, as I work from home. I use mostly MS Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint) and internet. 4GB is plenty for this work -- I usually have 6-8 browser tabs open, Word and Excel, VPN with login to another computer, and other miscellaneous programs all open at once. For just over $300, this is a LOT of PC. Win10 gets a 4, as 95% is fine, but there are a few bugs that don't allow manipulation of certain VPN settings and update settings. These are things that MS will fix eventually. People that rate this PC or any PC lower because of Win10 issues cloud the issues -- the PC is fine; Win10 has a few growing pains, but is really works well. People complain about the silliest things..
