This computer is very slim easy to use and easy to restore, this is a great computer for media steaming the elderly or even dummy terminals. Works great as a server terminal, advertisement monitor, or touch screen register. It works great for domain computers but this tech is not upgradable or repairable hardware wise,
4 core processor 64 bit 2 gigs of ram 32gigs hard drive space
So the space is low and ram and hard drive but has a micro SD card port and easy to map network drives to the system.
I have thus far bought 4 of these micro computers and have had no problems with any of them.
This is not a limited version of Windows either it is a full OS meaning you can install almost any software

My best movie steamer for my 4:3 aspect ratio TV.

I'm totally blown away at how practical this little stick has become. I love the rich color and big picture of my 36" Sony CRT (tube) TV. I was able to plug this stick into my HDMI to AV/RCA composite converter/adapter to run Amazon Instant Video and Hoopla.com streamed video through this stick PC to my 4:3 aspect ratio tube TV. Windows 10 allows me to select the best screen setting to get the picture to display proportionally and undistorted on my antiquated 4:3 aspect ratio tube TV. Microsoft Edge web browser on this device plays Amazon video better than my Roku 1. My short experience with my Apple TV 3 was a big let down because I could not find an HDMI to AV RCA composite converter/adapter the would display the Apple TV’s 16:9 aspect ratio picture on my 4:3 aspect ratio tube TV without scrunching and distorting the picture.
I sold the my Apple TV 3 and I’m getting ready to sell my Roku 1 because this Lenovo - Ideacentre Stick 300, with my Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 Plus, is the only movie streaming device I will ever need on my TV.

I have had several similar pc's and this one has features which make it stand out. First, the fan is absolutely a necessity in this type pc. Second the micro SDHC card is a nice feature especially in a pc with just 32 GB storage even though I have a 1TB external hard drive and USB Flash drives attached. Third, Windows 10 pre-loaded is a good thing. Fourth, there are no batteries which is good as batteries are doomed to failure. Fifth, the $99 price is perfect. Finally, a two year extended warranty is available for under $7. I am able to stream HD Video (WiFi) and listen on bluetooth speakers with no problems.
OK, CPU core temps are 123F.+ (49C.) at idle and 145F (62C.) under a load. That's hot but not extreme. Fanless pc's run much hotter. CPU speed is 1.583 GHz to 1.833GHz under a load.
The bad. It can not be powered from my tv's usb ports. At first I had many crashing problems but I just kept starting again and now after the updates it is ok. It does not like hot swapping usb drives or usb devices (crashes) but now I can plug in a usb flash drive without it crashing. The Windows 10 updates were just as bad. It took at least 6 attempts to get the latest version of Windows to load but it finally did. It took 3 hours till I was updated, backed up, and running as normal but now I am quite happy with my new Lenovo/Windows 10 mini pc. The fan is audible in a silent room when it is running. It is not nearly as fast as my i5 with 3.5 GHz cpu so I just keep it as backup but is not too bad. After a power failure, The stick will not load or reset so is going back. Thankfully I bought the extended warranty.
The pc came with a short HDMI extension cord, a 110 volt adapter, and a stick on bracket to mount the unit to the TV back which sticks very well.

The Lenovo Ideastick is a pretty cool little computer, all things considered, with even decent graphics, and all in a very small package and a small price. It's not good for heavy computing or gaming, but is more than adequate for surfing the web and basic, everyday tasks. I paired it with my Vizio 32-inch TV/monitor and the graphics displayed very well, with rich, saturated colors. I purchased a wireless keyboard/mouse to use with the computer and they work great. You can't beat it for the price. Yes, there are much more capable mini-computers on the market, but nearly all of them are much bigger and cost a lot more, and many of them are missing internal storage and operating systems. Good job, Lenovo. My only complaint is more with the OS and not with Lenovo, and deals with the security features. The computer is very portable, so I took it to a friend's house, connected it up, and tried to demo it but couldn't because it looked for the network at my house abd when it couldn't find it, it wouldn't accept my password, thus not letting me log into the computer. My advice? If you plan on using it as a mobile computer, don't use a password! Bottom line - I'm going to be using it to run a display at my church as part of an information kiosk. If you're looking for a basic computer and don't have much space, this will definitely work, although by the time you buy the keyboard, mouse, and monitor, it might be easier to get a tablet, if you want mobility.

I love it so far. First I bought Intel PC stick which worked for a month or two then I purchased this $50 cheaper but almost identical. It makes your TV a pc. Get the Lynec C120 keyboard/mouse from amazon for $15 (see pix) and you have a fully functioning PC! You might also want to get a USB hub with Ethernet port just so you get highest internet speed!

The performance on the Stick is AMAZING! However, it falls short due to the fact that the Wi-Fi lacks 5GHz. Although it is not meant to be a major computer replacment, 5GHz would be important to make it an excellent competitor to limited "sticks" such as the Roku or Amazon Fire Stick. Otherwise, it is well worth the price. Looking forward to seeing a refreshed version that supports 5GHz Wi-Fi frequency.

Great little computer (handheld stick). Just plug it into a HDMI on any tv and you have a computer. Setup up is easy. Unplug and you can take it with you and use on another tv. It not the fastest, but does well for surfing the web and simple apps. Drawbacks: 1 small HD Disk space, but can be expanded with an SSD card. 2 the biggest drawback is the time it takes (like any other new computer) is to go thru all the update downloads and adding the programs that you will be using. 3 you have to add USB mouse and keyboard which is extra. I would recommend this as a second portable computer or for children to use.

I spent hours working on the Intel Compute stick. The Lenovo stick is the way to go!
I returned the Compute Stick, got the Lenovo stick, spent about 30 minutes in front of it, let it upgrade to windows 10 overnight, and I have had a very responsive light computing choice, with minimal effort, and it is less expensive!
Save yourself the time and skip the ComputeStick and get this Lenovo Stick, you will be very happy and pleased!

Don’t expect miracles, but it runs pretty well. Native windows 10 responds well. Doesn’t have any lagging issues when connected to a 42” TV. Graphic card is beefy enough to handle everything I’ve thrown at it so far. I’m using a Bluetooth mouse/keyboard combo so I can keep the 1 USB port open for a flash drive. Windows 10 goes in to recovery if the power is disconnected, and Bluetooth keyboards don’t work here. My only complaint is that bit, and it’s on windows 10, not the product. Streams Netflix well, as other internet tasks.

I checked this small computer out on Youtube first and boy did this little thing perform. Got a great deal from Bestbuy and hook it up right away to my 65” T.V. At first, I thought the graphics were poor, but I did a Windows 10 update and it found all the right drivers and the picture was great – started testing this small computer out and soon found myself watching Hulu and was amazed!!!

Went back and forth whether I wanted a Chromebit or an Intel stick. The price was right, it runs Window 10, and it filled my need for a low cost, low powered device I can easily take with me primarily for emails and internet. I installed a 32GB SD card because I needed additional storage. Seems to run videos okay standlone.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre Stick 300 is a great product...as long as you have realistic expectations of what it can do. No, this is not intended to replace your business laptop, but it is GREAT for an ULTRA PORTABLE PC for performing basic tasks.
The Pros:
All things considered, it is very responsive, boots super quick, great graphics, great Bluetooth connectivity, can expand the disk capacity (I went with a SanDisk Ultra Plus 128GB microSDXC) and it is a full blown version of Windows 10.
The Cons:
The full blown version of Windows 10 is the 32 bit Home version but as I mentioned before, you must keep your expectations realistic. Only has 32GB SSD (but can expand storage via microSD). My biggest gripe...the WiFi is limited to b/g/n and thus quite slow. Fine for checking email online, social media, Office 365, etc. but don't try to stream any sort of HD video...trust me on this one. If they can incorporate the ac channel into the wireless card, this thing gets 10 stars...until then, its between 4 and 4.5.

I purchased this as a home theater media center, mostly for streaming (netflix, amazon, hulu, and kodi). Considered this and the Intel NUC, but chose this because $200 cheaper. Had a problem with the latest kodi app. Needed to upgrade to windows 10 home 1607 build, then loaded fine.
Hooked this up to my 7.1 channel 200 watt yamaha receiver and 65" Sony TV and it performs perfectly! I have not had any problems with slow data rates. My router is NetGear Nighthawk and the stick is about 40 ft away in an enclosed home entertainment center.
Using a logitech K830 bluetooth keyboard with included touch pad. No problems pairing, but would not connect after shutdown and boot up. Fixed by loading new Logitech keyboard drivers.
Caught my daughter a few times doing her homework using the stick because the screen was 40" larger.
Highly recommend! Warning: you may lose your entertainment center to kids doing homework or youtube, etc.

I've read some mixed reviews when I was making my purchase. I then decided to buy it and see for myself. I don't do gaming anymore. I just use the system for homework and streaming movies. Works great, took about 10 minutes to set up and boots up real fast. I store everything in dropbox so storage issues aren't a problem. The WiFi isn't that great and only has 1 usb slot. So I use a 7 port usb hub and a usb to ethernet adapter and my issues there stopped. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse and that works fine, plus I use a micro sd card for more storage space. Overall, I'm impressed.

This IdeaCentre Stick is a nice form factor to be able to add a PC to an existing monitor or a TV. Quite creative. But it does suffer from performance issues, and it isn't as compatible with (all) televisions as I had hoped.
I like that the product has real Windows 10, is small, and is silent. It's a little sluggish after using a desktop computer, even if the desktop has some age to it. The disappointment for me, though, is that the display controls do not allow for overscan compensation on TVs. This compensation is critical to be able to use the Windows taskbar and to see 100% of the desktop.
The product is OK if using on a monitor or TV with controls to disable overscan. It should be approached with caution if planning to use HDMI to an input on a TV set. Good for convenience of Windows, but for "creative" applications should also consider a Rasberry Pi.

For the price it is a great deal, easy way to learn Windows 10, easy setup. Lack of second USB port, but USB hub fixed that problem, also I needed a female to female HDMI coupler for my needs. Everyone I have shown the device to loves it.

I bought this out of curiosity and to use as a media streamer while traveling. (I purchased a mini keyboard with track pad built in) I've had issues getting my other media streamers to bypass hotel WiFi login pages. Not only does the Lenovo IdeaCentre Stick 300 solve this issue, but it actually provides an ultra mobile fully functional Windows 10 PC.
1. As a tool to stream media it's ideal for frequent travelers. I had no problems connecting to the hotels WiFi. Via the Windows Store you can download apps like Netflix and Hulu.
2. As a PC it performs well for it's price and specs. If you are looking at using this as your main PC and do more than the most basic tasks it's probably not a good fit. If you want to stream, surf the web, email, watch YouTube etc... it's a great fit.
I wish there was a model with 4gb of ram in store, other than that no complaints. I highly recommend this product.

The stick has sufficient computer power for surfing the net and office tasks such as documents or spreadsheets. I bought 4 of the sticks and with one I was able to remotely control the other 3 by installing Teamviewer free ware. I am interested in astronomy and remotely controlling cameras and a single remote stick can capture and forward images at 640 x 480 x 20 fps with very few dropped frames.
Some people have criticized the combination of Blue tooth and WiFi transmissions via the same internal antenna and how this slows data transfer. Via Windows 10 Settings you can disable Bluetooth and the wireless function works well.
Bottom line: Works very well for such a small device. However, do not buy the open box versions as twice I found parts were missing such as the psu. Best Buy did replace the part and pre-paid the shipping so no complaints there.
