||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a small and affordable computer which would allow me to take notes while reading on my primary computer, and to do small tasks like web browsing. This computer seems cute, it is light weighted, and the battery life is really long. However, the screen is very low quality (that my eyes could not get used to use it along with my primary computer), and the processor is slower than I expected. Just to open a first or second tab, I have to wait at least 5 seconds, and the "waiting to open" circle becomes so annoying after a couple times. Also, the screen started to blink occasionally after 2 days and actually because of this I am returning this back. Some people are lucky enough to get a good one with low prices, yet I guess I am not one of them. It is really cute, I wish it worked out..

Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Here is the link:

Small but Powerful - Perfect for College

Most of his course materials are online even during lecture or class instruction. MS Office was a requirement as was enough memory and hard drive space. A prime consideration being that getting bogged down with background processes incurred by MS Office programs makes taking notes or keeping up with lecture impossible. The battery longevity was a key factor due to a daily 8 hour course load. Additionally, carrying a bulky laptop around campus along with other materials wasn't practical. A final consideration was an HDMI port for use with his large 27" monitor while at home. After comparing the price and value added options of several machines, we chose this small but very powerful laptop. Not only did it exceed the aforementioned requirements, it happened to be on sale the day we purchased it. The total price was less than $200 after tax; I couldn't even buy a comparable tablet for that price! This is a fantastic little machine that is super fast even while running several large (<3Mb) MS Office applications simultaneously. The screen size may be smaller than most, but the HDMI output allows full 1920x1080 resolution for the large external monitors. I highly recommend this device for your teenaged kids in HS or College. At this price, if it's lost, stolen or broken, it isn't even as expensive as getting a smartphone replaced. Likewise, using MS Office 360 with cloud means that if it DOES happen to meet a tragic fate, he won't lose any of his schoolwork - it's in the cloud. Again, at this price and practical functionality, I ALMOST bought two (we bought the last one they had in stock at the time) so I didn't have to carry my bulky personal laptop while traveling.
