I had purchased the Lenovo Ideapad 100S previously, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this updated model had some changes, some good, some bad. The laptop is virtually the same body wise, however one of the biggest changes is the screen. Yes it is the same size and resolution of the previous model BUT its viewing angles and most importantly color, has been vastly improved. I was seeing the red colors on CNN's website as magenta! This one now accurately produces colors that you will typically see on more expensive models, thumbs up in that regard. Specs wise, everything else is the same, 32gb flash storage, 2gb ram, but the CPU is also different. The previous model was a quad core Intel Atom, this one has a dual core Intel Celeron. Now in normal tasks they are very similar, but the Atom can handle a couple of tabs of chrome better than the Celeron model does. However, if you only have one or two tabs open only, it performs better. The CPU has a better single core performance than the Atom by a decent amount, but far less able in the multi core front, keep that in mind. the Intel graphics of the Celeron is also more capable, as it is coming from the Braswell generation instead of Atom's Bay Trail HD graphics. Not that it can run games well, but I did manage to run World of Warcraft and net some kind of playable frame rates. Battery life is superb, it can easily last 5+ hours on a single charge while doing productivity stuff, the keyboard also is nice to type on. I fully recommend this little machine as for something on the go, want more out of it and I suggest you steer clear from it, know its limitations.

Works really well and I make sure not to store anything on it to maintain its speed. I wanted a small laptop that would fit in my already full back pack. I use it for assignments, Netflix, email, general browsing. If u need a high power machine- then this is not what you are looking for. It's really light and easy to carry around. Loved the color. Not the best speakers - but I would think no one is getting this laptop for its speakers.

The laptop is very cheap for a laptop and is made of a light plastic that makes it very lightweight, yet also increases the chance for damage. I use it for Youtube videos and e-mail. I also have a 2 TB external storage passport device connected to it so that I can back up all my pictures since this laptop does not have very much storage space. Overall, it is great for the beginner who uses laptop for basic applications.

I had a laptop go bad and needed to get fixed by The Geek Squad and didn't want to be without. So I did a quick look at the computers for sale before taking mine in. I was more interested in the price being inexpensive than the computer. Best Buy was the place to look! They have GREAT computers, with nice prices, BUT they also have inexpensive computers for not very much money, which is what I needed and I found it with this computer which did EVERYTHING I needed it for!

The Lenovo Ideapad 110s has everything one needs in a computer. It's fast, easy to use, and comes ready to roll with Windows 10. Set up is a breeze. Word processing, spreadsheets, accessing the Web, and other routine computer operations are easily performed. Design and keyboard are nice. It is truly portable. It's light, small and easy to carry.The Lenovo notebook is a great bargain.

This is hands down the best Winbook I have ever owned. I love cheap laptops because if you break or loose it your only out $100-$150. However, most of the ones I have tried, e.g., the Dells, have a perceptible lag due to hardware limitations: not this puppy! This unit is fast, light and reliable. As a value, this is the best laptop I have ever owned. Highly Recommended!!!

Great little computer for school. Small size makes it convenient to take to class. Son uses a memory stick to save all work. Very inexpensive!

I was going to upgrade to a new iPad but this IdeaPad will do just about everything I wanted to use the iPad for, plus it is able to use Windows. I mainly need something to check email and maybe watch some Netflix shows on when I travel and this is lightweight and easy to use.

This is a great computer for kids first computer. It is small and light and they can handle it better than a regular size laptop. But they function just the same. Sure the processing speed is slow and there is not enough storage. But for the price, it is hard to beat. I have 4 of them, only had an issue with a bad startup and Lenovo factory warranty fixed it.

Small, light weight but powerful enough to handle regular web surge and document editing

The Lenovo Laptop is lightweight and has a 32 GB SSD drive. It works well as a cloud device. With included Microsoft office you have lots of capability. It has great battery life, enough for a cross-country plane flight. It is not the most powerful so you limit the number of apps that are opened simultaneously. I recommend this laptop.

Is a good laptop for seniors who don't put a computer through any serious stress. Screen is bright enough and fonts/images can be zoomed so that it serves a senior's needs. If you need multiple browser tabs open or other multi-tasking needs, you may need something more powerful. But this can play a video or stream some content without much issue. Is nice and light for a senior to tote around, too.

We purchased this laptop solely for our daughter to use for her 1st year in college. We were able to get it for a good price and it fits perfectly within her bookbag, it's small enough not to take up a lot of room. She loves it and uses it every single day.

this is my 4th idea pad, each of my kids have one for school! excellent battery life and portability. great job Lenovo!!

My husband bought this laptop for me as a gift. I like it for the following reasons: 1. Compact size; 2. Lightweight; 3. Decent battery life; 4. Not pre-loaded with apps that I will never use; 5. I chose the apps that I wanted; 6. 1 year of office included; 7. It plays YouTube and movies (via external devices w/USB ports); & 8. It fits inside my handbag with no problem. I thought that having a white laptop would bother me; but it doesn't. I already had a OneDrive account, so everything synced seamlessly. I really like my ideapad. I would not trade it for another device. I highly recommend the ideapad to anyone looking for a handy device with an actual keyboard and quite affordable.

I had a PowerPoint due for class and the library was closed. I needed a cheap notebook to finish my assignment and this was perfect. My 5 year old has actually used it more for games and practice typing in Word. I wouldn't suggest this computer for anyone with a heavy class load or to rely on for work but it would be a great beginner computer for a younger student.

I own a MacBook, but it was not very compatible with my jobs software. So I decided to look for a laptop for a reasonable price and the Lenovo is just that! Small, easy to use and navigate, and also very compatible with Microsoft.

It was easy to set up. I knew what I was getting. I knew it was not a gaming pc. For recording it is exactly what I needed and wanted. I have recommended it for the same purpose. If what you need is a pc that does not cost much and for does not require a lot of hard drive or ram this is it

I got this as a computer for school that I could take along with me. It’s light and compact and perfect just for writing papers like I needed. Not very fast and doesn’t have much space so I wouldn’t recommend it for gaming or anything. Mostly use it for internet and word and it’s perfect!

Nice screen, trim and light. Three things need to be mentioned. 1. Upgrading Windows 10 is a nightmare unless you add a good size sd card and download the install image to a USB key. The 32 gb drive does not have enough room to install otherwise creating strange error messages. 2. The keyboard has little travel, still works but just a bit more travel and feedback would be nice. 3. 2 gb of ram is the bare minimum. Thankfully Lenovo does not ship loads of add on programs anymore which helps. Do disable any start up stuff to maximize ram capacity. Finally this is Windows 10 so judiciously turn off as much of Microsoft's spying as you want and add Chrome for a better browsing experience. Extra suggestion, this model ships with one year of personal office. For those that have the 5 user package you have to create another ms email live I'd and use that to activate the package. Once that is done you can sign out of that user ID and then log back in to your normal one to see your usual one drive storage.
