Screen colors are washed out

Pretty powerful and fast laptop. The biggest disappointment is the screen - colors are VERY washed out. When I compare to another laptop or just connect second monitor to this laptop and look at the same picture - these are just different colors. You can't even distinguish white controls on a light grey windows panels. I brought it to Lenovo authorized service center - they've re-installed the video driver, but it did not help. They confirmed that colors are not same as on other screens, but explained that it's a screen issue, cause it's a cheaper model and a cheaper technology is used for a screen, which makes colors very dull and sometimes even indistinguishable. Not sure if it's really the case, but will have to rely on what they say - will return,
