I bought this computer about a month ago. No real complaints so far. Started off a little slow but after uninstalling l some bloatware and running a defrag on the computer, it runs really well. The biggest complaint is the battery life. For me, this isn't a huge problem because I very seldomly use it in areas where a plug in isn't available. But I could see this being a problem for other people. The full HD display is very nice and high quality sound. Overall, definitely would recommend to others, especially for the price.

I bought this laptop as a holiday gift for my teenage son. He is using it for gaming and school projects. We added Microsoft Office at a military discount. He is thrilled with the speed and seems to be okay with Windows 10. It's fairly light weight and slim for a full-sized laptop. High recommendation.

Very impressed with this computer. I had actually purchased another one that wasn't compatible with my Internet company. I didn't know much about Lenovo, but thought I'd give it a shot. It's works perfectly and a great price! The screen is just the right size for reading email, surfing the net, or playing games. I would definitely recommend this computer!

I got this because I wanted something good and cheap, for regular use since I cannot use my laptop from my job for connecting USB or so. It resulted in a very good laptop, it has a good performance, in comparison with others the price is much better.

This Lenovo IdeaPad 500 is reasonably priced with good combination of 1080p LED screen, integrated GPU capable of fine performance for entry level gaming and video intensive processes, plus the 8GB/1TB RAM/storage. Can't go wrong for a laptop paid for under $400... good style too.

I bought this laptop for my 9 year old son. He wanted a laptop he could play minecraft on and be able to do his homework and watch youtube. He loves it. Its very durable and the processor is fast enough for him to game.

really nice laptop, sleek design, lightweight, fast startup and shutdown good specs and features for the price, but the battery life is lousy. an hour of dvd watching and you're down to 50%, and since this is so new you cant buy an extra battery or power cord yet. hope they have some software upgrades coming to address this.

Got this for $420, a week later it went on sale for $350, Best Buy refunded the difference. This computer has decent specs for a price that no other that I could find approached. Runs good. The case feels s little cheap-- the screen glares at the bottom right when moving it. A good machine at an unbeatable price.

Overall the computer met my expectations up to this point, and for the price I find it hard to complain. But that being said it does take a little time with loading windows and some of the other various programs. I am not sure if this is just my being used to SSDs or something with the processor and windows 10 setup (I just thought it would be faster out of the box). Lastly it does not seem to purge heat very well when doing anything that taxes the graphics card, so far it has shut down once and only once with no after effects. (about 1 month of regular use thus far).

Overall pretty good. Despite being " true hd " the screen is pretty weak. And the battery doesn't last well at all. But plays xcom 2 without a hitch and is snappy online. You won't find a better laptop for the price.

It's not the best computer on the market but there was no better value available anywhere. $370 was an amazing deal. Had a tech savvy person give it a tune up and it runs very fast now.

The laptop is very nice but you only get 1 month of windows 10 and then must purchase it. It should come free for the price you pay for the laptop. The games are very slow to respond since they are not on the laptop but run through the internet.

I like the size of this laptop as it is for home use. I wish the keyboard felt a bit sturdier. My old toshiba was rock solid. It is taking me awhile to get used to Windows 10 but I like it.

It is a good fast laptop with a lot of memory, The only down side was I was not use to windows 10 and had to learn how to use that and set everything up and that took more time than I had thought. Still it is a good computer and I like it.

I bought Lenovo because the company I work for uses them. This was the third computer I bought in this price range for myself to accomplish e mail reading, internet surfing, and photo storing with. I am really happy that I took the other two back and that I ended up with this computer. Once it had been turned on and everything was updated and I downloaded my own browser of choice, this computer has given me no issues with latency. I have had zero issue with the wrist rest. I like that this computer still has a tray to run CDs, as a lot of computers no longer have them. The screen on this computer is beautiful and the speakers are AMAZING! The one and only complaint I have is that the piece of plastic that lays over the keys moves/feels flimsy when typing. Other than that this computer is well worth the money.
