Screen - No issues. I believe it is 250 nits which is fine for my needs. IPS screen so viewing angles are very good. Speed - I just came from a laptop with the "old" HDD. The difference in boot-up time and data acquisition time is phenomenal. If you're not already using a computer with an SSD, it's time to upgrade. Happy with the overall performance as well, though nothing I do is graphics-intensive and I am not a gamer. Keyboard - absolutely no issues. Keys are responsive and have a great tactile feel. Backlit works well, it's a 2-key combination (Alt/Spacebar) Battery life - 6+ hours, no complaints (nothing I do is power intensive) Case is plastic and has a bit of a rubberized feel. Shows fingerprints more than I thought it would, but functional and no issues. Complaints? Yes, I have one. The power brick is absolutely absurd! I cannot imagine who at Lenovo designed that thing. It is so bottom heavy I cannot get it to stay in any outlet, the only fix I've found is to plug the power brick into an extension cord and then plug that into the wall. Lenovo - what were you thinking??? Overall, very satisfied and highly recommended

I've actually had this laptop for a long time (years) which is a great timeframe to rate it. It works like a champ, hasn't slowed down and holds a long charge. I love the back lit keyboard. I just bought another Lenovo IdeaPad and it has a touchscreen but I really got used to the back lit keyboard so I don't like that one as much.

I bought this Laptop about 2.5 years ago and at first it was awesome. There are things I like and things I don't. Pros: -First off its built well with fairly decent specs for the price -Lenovo's software and lenovo hub is very helpful and innovative (more so than other companies I have used in the past) -Nice keyboard and definetly not the worst track pad that i've used on a laptop -Very good laptop for school, work, light editing and light gaming etc... Cons: -This laptop gets bogged down if you ket it fall behind even one system update or driver update (as long as it's up to date it shouldn't pose a prolem) -If you are looking for a gaming laptop, this is not it. There are far better ones near or in this price point if thats the route your looking for. -Components are not future proof and not very upgradeable unless you know how to work on laptops. Even if you do for the money youd have to put into it, your better off buying a new one Overall: It's a solid laptop that will do what you need it to do if you are realistic about it's capabilities. Its not the fatest or the slowest laptop in the word but it works well, it has a nice interface and is backed by a good companies reputation and build quality.

This has been a pleasant surprise all around. For the price, this laptop is lightweight and compact, has decent storage, wonderful backlit keyboard (a former failing of Lenovo laptops) and a super responsive touch screen. Trackpad isn't awful, but it is a trackpad, so you'll probably want a mouse. As other reviewers have mentioned, the wireless card seems to be a bit of a weak point. It has had random disconnect issues already a couple weeks into ownership. It's had snappy performance for everything I've thrown at it so far, including playing some games on the casual end of the spectrum like Civ VI and Bloons TD6. The battery life has been decent, getting 3-4 hours of gaming on a single charge and lasting much longer for less intensive tasks. I don't have battery anxiety if it's unplugged. The speakers leave a lot to be desired. They're tinny and placed on the front underside bevel, meaning if you have it in your lap, it can drown the sound out. The finish is a fingerprint magnet, if that bothers you (it doesn't bother me), but it's a stylish, sleek package I didn't fully expect when I ordered. Very pleased overall, especially for the price. Had previously sworn off Lenovo until I saw this and took a chance.

It work great for the price, the speed is good and the touchscreen is working great since i opened the box 1 year ago. The only problem is occasionally there is a loud sound for few seconds when the fan kicks on. Also it would be great if the hard drive can be expanded with few more hundred Gbs

Where do I start? First, the design is wonderful, I got the abyss blue and I think it's great!! This thing is fast and very easy to use and navigate. My last Lenovo laptop didn't have very good speakers but the speakers on this Lenovo are perfect, not to mention the FHD touch display!! I've only been using this laptop for a little over an hour and I believe I'll enjoy this device for years to come!! A++

Was in search of a laptop with top tier specs that wasn't going to break the bank. Saw this one on sale during Black Friday but decided to get my wide a diff one instead. Had been waiting for the price to drop again and caught it on sale for $549 a few weeks ago and had to pull the trigger. Screen has a very nice resolution and the speaker sound is really good. The thing that sold me was the backlit keyboard. Comes in handy when trying work at night without wanting to have the lights on. The build quality is nice as well - alot heavier than those around the same price point. Would definitely recommend if you're in need of a A1 laptop.

This lap top is so easy to use. It’s so much faster than my old one that was 5 yrs. old. I love the light up keys. Even in total darkness, I can see them really well. I also love the touch screen. I’ve never owned a lap top that is as efficient as this one.

My son loves this computer. He is in high school so he uses it for homework and to play video games. I feel it was a great buy. It’s fast and efficient.

This is a great laptop! Good specs. Works well with multiple tabs and things running. Light weight. Good balanced feel. Keyboard is useable. Good screen size.

I decided buy a Lenovo laptop because have a Lenovo i7 business Thinkpad. I heard that the built quality of Ideapad S340 (Not Ideapad 3) is good. I was looking for an affordable laptop with a touch pad for my high school son. This laptop is pretty nice and well built. There is no lagging issues. Its IPS FHD screen is really nice and colors looks great. Touch screen is really good too. I uninstall Office 365 and Mcafee before updating Windows. I decided to migrate to Windows Home from Windows Home S. With low light conditions, videos from built-in camera are little bit grainy. It is not a big deal for my son's Zoom meetings and other social meetings. Keyboard has a nice feel and it is somewhat similar to Lenovo Thinkpad. We are very happy with the purchase.

Very good laptop, specially if you a get a discount. I use it for minor gaming and it works like a charm. Fast for office work as well.

We got this for my son to use at school. The school had specific requirements that the laptop needed to be used and this covered those requirements. One thing that was needed was to remove it from Window S mode which is easy to do. I got this one specifically because it was 12 gigs of ram and a Solid State Drive. I would have needed to upgrade it right away if it had less than 12gb so it saved me from having to go through that hassle.

Overall a excellent computer. Very lightweight and great for multitasking. Touch screen is a big plus since the mouse pad is on the left side below the keyboard. Which I find great for my wife who is left handed but I just poke the screen which also works great. Camera is good quality for the price. Has everything we need plus a little extra for ease of use.

Long battery life. Backlit keyboard is nice feature. Speed is good. Was looking for a basic laptop and this one delivered just fine.

This computer has served me very well in school. It’s been fast, reliable and easy to use. The only stipulations i have about it is that it overheats very quickly. Smaller, thinner laptops like this are expected to overheat but sometimes it overheats to the point of shutting down, even with proper airflow around the computer. Otherwise, a personal problem is that the screws holding in the bottom panel are very short and tend to loosen easily. Overall, this computer is great for students but could be improved.

A laptop with really great features at a good price. This is my first personal experience owning a Lenovo and after roughly a month with it I honestly don't have any complaints. Great overall screen resolution and though the camera resolution could be better it still doesn't bug me much. This laptop is geared up with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700U processor running on 12GB of RAM and 512GB SSD working beautifully. I knew very little about AMD Ryzen processors since I always thought that they were associated with gaming computers, and though I'm pretty sure this laptop could do games without a problem, it is a worth competitor to any other laptop running on an Intel Core i7. I'm a music major going after a degree in music technology and this machine can work an audio interface, a full 64-bit music software along with different effects plug-ins and really help you get creative. I do wish it came with more USB ports but I can always get a USB Hub if needed. Overall, this Lenovo IdeaPad S340 is a great buy!

I cannot complain at all. This thing boots up in 10 seconds, type pin in and start up right where you left off. Played some Apex legends on it, low setting of course and it played just fine. Keyboard is gonna take some getting used to but it will do. Sucks that you cannot charge via USB-C but dealing with it. Got this on a Deal of the Day sale for $550. I almost bought two of them! Sure regret it. Oh and the plastic on this laptop is a magnet for fingerprints, blows my mind!

It has everything I need and more. I was looking for a laptop with all the qualities (516GB SSD, headphone jack, USB ports, etc.) I wanted in a laptop at a good price. Major upgrade from my work laptop, but still gets a bit hot after much use, and the fan comes on. Not too loud. The battery life lasts a good while couple of hours using Zoom, Youtube, etc. I never had a laptop with the numbers to the side on the keyboard & touch screen. For the numbers to the side, I thought that was a great feature. Still getting use to, but I like it. For the touch screen, I was worried about a lot of finger prints and smudging, but the laptops screen is almost like a powdered surface. No dust or powder comes off, it just makes it to where you don't smudge. However, finger grease does rub off the exterior of the laptop and track pad. Never had that issue before, but a wipe should be just fine after a couple uses. Oh and I thought I was getting 3 USB ports. I may be wrong on that, but there was only on the right side from what I noticed, which wasn't a huge priority for me. It was just an additional bonus when I looked at the specs. However, was mislead & a little disappointed to not see on the actual laptop, but not a huge deal breaker. Overall, I would recommend this laptop for all the features included at this price point! I am happy with my choice. :)

Great laptop option to Dell and HP. This thing is light. You can barely feel it when you pick it up. Powerful memory and quick. Love the backlit keyboard. (you have to manually turn it on when you use it for the first time) The touch screen is a plus although I don't use it a ton. It's quick and powerful. No issues or complaints at this point. They didn't have black when I bought mine but the dark blue isn't a bad option. Looks kind of black.
