I recently picked up this laptop and overall I’ve been pretty happy with it. It’s lightweight and easy to carry around, which is perfect for traveling and everyday use. The screen is bright and clear, and the keyboard actually feels comfortable to type on — not too mushy like some budget laptops. Performance-wise, it handles everyday tasks like internet browsing, emails, streaming, and light work with no problem. If you’re planning to run heavy games or big editing software, this probably isn’t the powerhouse for that. But for normal daily use, it’s fast enough and gets the job done. Battery life has been decent too. I usually get a good few hours on one charge depending on what I’m doing. It also stays pretty quiet and doesn’t overheat like some laptops I’ve owned before. Overall, it’s a solid laptop for the price — reliable, simple, and easy to use. Great for school, work-from-home, or just staying connected.

I purchased my Lenovo laptop on August 15, 2025, and after using it for about a month, I can confidently say it deserves a 5-star rating. One of my favorite features is the touchscreen, which makes navigation really intuitive and adds a level of convenience, especially for quick tasks and presentations. I also love how small and easy to manage it is—it’s light, portable, and perfect for carrying around for work or travel. Honestly, I don’t have any major complaints about this laptop so far. It performs smoothly, and I haven’t run into any issues that would make me reconsider my choice.

Great Chromebook with touch screen you will will get your moneys worth with this one. Fast, small but not too small. Solid and sturdy. With a memory card that helps it stay somewhat quick but prone to lag depending on memory you add to the device. Other then that a back lit keyboard would make this a must buy . can lag at times depending on the amount of memory Love how easy it pairs with my other devices. Lightweight of my favorite purchases as the last one just needed a new battery as I have never had any problemswith this brand what so ever

Got this for my kid for school. The build quality is good and he's happy with the performance. He's been using the school's Chromebooks for a couple of years now and he's happy with his own now. It can handle some light web gaming just fine. Can do HDMI with a USB-C to HDMI adapter, however you will lose the ability to charge at the same time, but battery life is quite good! Wi-fi is acceptable but not great. I'm used to Macbook Pros and i7 Gaming Laptops and the Wifi in this Chromebook isn't nearly as good, unfortunately, but that's understandable in a machine of this class. The speakers are above average sounding better than my gaming laptop, but not as good as my work Macbook pro. My kid really liked the color since it wasn't your typical black or silver/gray. I was skeptical of the MediaTek chip, but it seems to be doing just fine. For the price, this seems like a great machine so far and has a great AUE date out to June 2032 so there is plenty of life in this machine. I wish it had 8 GB of RAM, but again for the price point, 4GB seems pretty standard and sufficient.

Loving my new Lenovo Slim 3! The build quality on this device is superb with a nice solid feel. Thin and light and easy to carry around. Great audio quality and camera for video conferencing - the camera privacy shutter is really nice too. Keyboard feel is just right. Nice and bright FHD display. Reliable and fast WiFi. The power efficient MediaTek Kompanio 520 processor delivers amazing 13+ hours of battery life so I don’t have to stress when working in coffee shops etc., where AC outlets can be hard to find. The processor is zippy and allowed me to work with plenty of tabs including Google Photos, YouTube, Google Keep, Microsoft Word etc., without any issues switching between apps. Definitely deserves 5 stars and highly recommended for anyone looking for a Chromebook for productivity, entertainment and more!

This is a very nice chromebook. The appearance and screen is exceptional. Great for web browsing and streaming. It is 4 gigs/64 ram I wish it was 8gigs other than that I am very happy with my purchase. This chromebook is excellent for those on the go 100% portable. I am happy I purchase it and the screen quality is awesome. Battery life is great 13 hours easy.

Cannot complain. The battery life on this is incredible, which was one of the main reasons I wanted a chromebook. It is also light, another of my requirements. The only thing missing is the backlit keyboard, which is not too much of a problem since I am a touch typist. This is my first Chromebook and the Lenovo did a fantastic job, easy to adjust sound, screen brightness, plus get to other settings. As long as there are apps to accomplish some features such as light photo/video editing and office 365, I am good. The processor handles the task with no stutter or lag so far. Chromebook also has an auto delete function after time to keep the memory free. No regrets, impressed so far.

Needed a laptop for DnD. This was a good choice. Its fast, light, and easy to carry around. The touch screen allows me to scroll easily or pick an item on screen, i barely use the mouse i bought for it. Would be great for school too.

Satisfied buyer. This laptop exceeds my expectations and more. Got it to be able to do some projects and so far has been a great experience. I see some in the comments with concerns of speed however, my experience has been the complete opposite. Quite exceptional if you ask me. Great size without being overly heavy, I spent a few hours on it after charging the 1st day I got it and I couldn’t be more content. Spent more hours on it after having it a few weeks and can honestly say this is the first laptop that doesn’t have my legs feeling like hot pockets fresh out the microwave. Haha but in all seriousness. So many options, so many reviews. I say trust your instinct. I purchased when it was on sale and for the price it was a great buy. A few cheaper but if you are a review seeker like me you would’ve ended up here(that is if you were looking to spend under $200 of course). More options for higher prices but, like many of us, are just looking to get the most for our money spent and have it be budget friendly. Otherwise we’d be on Apple purchasing the newest iMac. Can’t say anything bad about it, would recommend to anyone looking for something fast enough to handle daily tasks and or a multitasker looking to work multiple systems. It doesn’t disappoint.

tl;dr: The 2023 Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 14" is a great value in a clamshell touchscreen Chromebook with superior battery life and a distant June of 2032 AUE date (two years longer than even the "hot new" HP Dragonfly Pro introduced at the same time.) It does everything a Chromebook should! It has USB-C (which can be used to drive a second display at least FHD), USB A, and a uSD slot. The plastic case feels sturdy and stiff and not cheap; bulkier than the metal-cased HP 13G1 it replaced but is still sub- 3 lbs. FHD resolution screen with a matte anti-reflection surface specs slightly brighter than HP x360 models at this price point. Touchscreen, trackpad, and keyboard are all as expected. Backlit keyboard and a fingerprint reader would be nice but are not typical at this price point. Camera is as expected beyond having a physical shutter. With 4GB of memory and the low power/long battery life MediaTek Kompanio 520 CPU, it has been snappy and responsive in everything I've used it for, constrained only by the network and web; so, this makes it just what a Chromebook should be. It stays cool to the touch doing everything I've asked of it. (If it has a fan, I've never heard it.) My only complaint is that the case finish and color show every fingerprint. The extended AUE date is a cherry on top. Did I mention it has great battery life?

Love how fast light weight and the touch screen on the computer and the resolution of the screen is impressive even for the basic stuff I'm working on.

Chromebook user for years, but I’ve always given up features for cost. With this, I didn’t have to. The screen is amazing, keyboard tactile response is spot on, and the speed, overall weight, and size are perfect for ‘armchair’ computing. I love this thing

This is actually the first laptop I’ve gotten for myself so I don’t have much to compare it to. But I like it. I’m just using it for personal use, nothing too complex, but I think it’s great. I enjoy the touchscreen feature, and have had no issues with anything. Battery lasts a long time, I have good wifi connection, and it works quicker than expected. No complaints at all!
