Bought this for the Mrs. because her old laptop was slow as molasses. She uses it when she works from home. Fast 5G connection to the Verizon Gateway and plenty of storage space. Turned off stupid S Mode and installed a good anti virus program. Windows S Mode locks you into Edge as your browser and Bing as your Search Engine and you can only install apps from the Windows Store. Also, not all peripherals work with S Mode. On the other hand, MS says S Mode helps your laptop run faster and longer on battery power. Not a big deal for her and so far the battery still lasts almost all day anyway.

Great low priced Laptop for everyday use

My wife and I bought 2 of these laptops for everyday use at home. 1TB hard drive, 8 gigs of ram, built in DVD player and the AMD Ryzen 3 graphics card, this laptop is loaded for everyday use. It comes with MacAfee preloaded, we removed and installed Webroot. This laptop works great for gaming, runs World of Warcraft beautifully at 60 FPS on medium settings. Do not expect the new COD to run as well on this laptop though. All in all this is a great laptop for the bargain price.

This laptop is an excellent fit for what I need. It has enough memory to last me for a long time. The speed is good. I mostly use the computer for e-mailing and gaming, but also use it for some of my crafts. So far, I have no complaints.

The Lenovo IdeaPad L340-15 laptop ships with a 3CELL_36WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, with a battery life of up to 8 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. To maximize battery life, first adjust your battery saver settings. Here is a link to instruction for doing this in Windows 10: https://www.digitalcitizen.life/how-use-configure-battery-saver-windows-10. Next, to maximize battery life, be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background, draining the battery. Here is a link to some tips for finding out what is draining your battery:

You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life. Great laptop for the price. The laptop is fast enough for your everyday surfing and school work. You cannot beat the price for the quality of the laptop. It is light weight and easy to carry in your backpack. If you are looking for an inexpensive laptop due to budget, you cannot go wrong. If you are trying to purchase this laptop for gaming then you may want to look elsewhere and spend more money.

Frustratingly slow - loaded with bloatware

I was hoping this laptop would be a better multi-tasking computer than my previous Lenovo but I was wrong. It is frustratingly slow, comes loaded with bloatware (that I removed but it didn't make much of a difference) and tends to freeze up when working in multiple tabs. Not recommended.

Lenovo computers ship with one of the cleanest factory software installs within the consumer computer industry. Windows 10 should not freeze up. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. Top Notch Bargain Laptop

All the power, features, memory, and other necessary tools that I required, in a basic machine, for a bargain price. Lots of bang for my buck. One thing that I clearly would've liked it to have, would've been a backlit keyboard. Although I knew this model didn't have this feature when I bought it. Not sure how I feel yet about it being the Windows 10 locked into the S version.

Just decent overall

I’ve owned this computer for a significant amount of time to where I feel comfortable ranking it’s abilities. I had a Lenovo laptop at work so I figured I would get one for personal use with better stats. I thought I would use it for streaming purposes, writing, blogging, photo editing, and the occasional game of Sims 4. Now my thoughts: it’s just okay. It’s a decent computer, but it’s nothing special. The design overall feels a little cheap though I do enjoy the screen size for watching Netflix. I don’t love the screen at the same time, though. It’s not good for photo editing whatsoever which is a bummer. I also haven’t bothered playing The Sims on it because I doubt it could handle it. It just feels flimsy. Pros: it is user friendly. I had to turn the Windows S program off, though. It wasn’t compatible with something I was doing and caused more of a headache than anything else. Overall I wish I had just saved the almost $400 and put it towards a MacBook like I had originally wanted. Being cheap got me in the end. I’m upgrading to another Mac soon and will let my step daughter have this one.

Good Computer. It's good for what I need it for. It's gonna be used for music production. It's definitely serving it's purpose. The only thing I'm not too fond of is the touch pad but I'm hoping to get used to it. Plus it has a stainless steellike finish that's definitely going to constantly show fingerprint smudges but that's not much to worry about.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad L340-15 laptop, model number 81LW005PUS. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.
