Beware of this purchase

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this reburbished laptop, and soon learned that the battery is not an official Lenovo battery. That means every time you turn on the computer, you will get an error message reminding you that you are not using a genuine Lenovo battery, AND the battery will not charge. Unfortunately, I'm right at one year for the warranty (my partner seldom uses the laptop and just dealt with the error message until I saw it), so a return/repair is out of the question. If you keep the laptop plugged in, and don't mind pressing escape every time you turn on the computer, I guess it will work for you.

Needs new Hard Drive

It worked fine to begin with. However, the computer is now useless. The Tech officer at my office examined it and said it needs a new hard drive. It basically won't start up completely. At this point, I have spent $375 on a computer that lasted my daughter for 3 months. Why did Best Buy have this computer out there when it was not ready. I hope that Best Buy corrects this situation.

Fan error 10 days after setting up laptop

Old Computer

It is minimally 4 years old, That means the processor and so forth have been replaced. It ran slow for an I5 processor. This was sold directly from Best Buy not the marketplace. Highly recommend you avoid this purchase.
