Big fail on motherboard, appalling warranty servic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this in mid-December and had a big failure in February, suddenly just not startup, I introduced a warranty claim and they made me take it to a service center where they diagnosed a fault on the motherboard that requires replace it, it has more than 60 days waiting for the piece and they told me that the tentative date for delivery is June 28 and then it must to take the repair time. It is not an cheap equipment and I think the time it took to fail deserve the replacement with a new laptop but Lenovo has failed to solve it or help me with this. Do not buy it.

Lenovo will not refund me because I'm outside the 30 day refund window. So now I will have a refurbished laptop 2 months after paying full price for it. Can't say enough bad things about this experience. To top it off, the power cord is too short and the keyboard layout sucks. The ENTER and SHIFT keys on the right side are too short and you always end up hitting one of the numbers instead when you're typing at normal speed. I cannot wait to never buy another Lenovo product again.

Great Laptop

Right palmrest has heating issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this product and had to get a replacement because the first one had a heating problem in its right palmrest. Two days later I get the replacement and it has the same problem! what are the odds! This leads me to believe this laptop is very unsuitable for typing so any students should stay away from this machine I tried contacting lenovo support, got hanged up because I needed to grab my serial number, and still didnt find any help. Now I have to return this piece of junk most likely and college starts tomorrow for me.

Posted .There are a couple of things you can try: One would be to adjust your power settings to either "Balanced or "Conservation Mode". This system is obviously a high-powered system with a big processor and dedicated graphics GPU. The do generate heat. If you dial the power settings back, this will reduce the heat. Second, if the power adjustment doesn't work, you might want to try a driver update for the energy management software on this system. You can follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers and look for power management driver updates for your specific system. Be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes, then create a new restore point once the issue is fixed. Here's the link:

Wireless speed is 5% of what I get on macbook

I am getting about 15 mb/s with my new computer but get 250-270mb/s with my macbook pro(2015 model). This is horrible and I can't figure why it is this bad. That is why I give it one star.
