The Lenovo does everything that my old laptop and ipad did, and more. I would like a little more storage, but an external hard drive works just as well. The touchscreen is nice, and while the Windows interface is a bit of an adjustment, it's really not that hard to figure out.

This is the first touch screen laptop I have ever purchased. Overall I am very pleased with the features and the speed of the computer. It is fairly lightweight too and, while heavier than a tablet, it is plenty light enough to travel with, use on an airplane, etc. My only real complaint thus far is that my Yoga came loaded with so much Lenovo junkware that it had great difficulty starting. I thought at first that the computer was malfunctioning because it ran so slowly. My Yoga was programmed to load a bunch of apps immediately upon startup, making the startup so slow that it almost appeared to be frozen. Fortunately my husband is good with computers and with his help I was able to disable and/or uninstall the programs I didn't need. Ever since then it has run quickly, reliably, and well. Overall I would consider this a good choice for someone who wants a real working laptop, but would occasionally like to use their laptop as a tablet.

I love having an SSD in my computer as opposed to a traditional hard drive. I can work on my lap or on the couch and when I move or get up, there is no warning from my computer "detecting a vibration". On the other hand, there isn't a lot of space as there is only 128 GB. If you have a lot to save (pictures, music, movies, large files), you will need an external hard drive to store your things. Sometimes, it tends to be a little sluggish, but not enough to make me dislike the computer. The different positions that the computer can bend in is helpful for certain tasks. Overall, it is a great computer, but DO NOT order it from Lenovo and don't expect Lenovo to help if you have trouble with the hardware (terrible customer service). Best Buy definitely is the better way to go to purchase this computer!

Love it! Lightweight, SSD - no fan or over-heating, portable, not big and not to small, responsive. Windows 8 takes some time to get used to, but it is well worth the time. Go get one!

For the first few days I was very pleased with it - the screen size is great, it was super easy to set up, it's light weight and obviously much faster than my old laptop. It also shuts down/sleeps and turns on really quickly, which is great, and battery lasts for a long time. However, after a few days I started discovering the disadvantages - some of them caused by Microsoft and windows 8.1, others have to do with the laptop. Laptop: - The major issue is that it took about a week until it got slowed down (not terribly, but significantly, in particular considering that I didn't install anything besides office, browsers and acrobat reader), and also started making noises from the ventilator (it's barely audible most of the times, but again, I would have expected it to be completely silent at this point in its short life). - Screen resolution is a bit problematic and hard to adjust - basically it's set to touchscreen in many programs, so much bigger (and sometimes out of focus) than necessary if used as laptop (which is my primary use). But changing the resolution overall caused a lot of trouble with the display (even got the computer stuck a few times), so I ended up zooming in/out in each application/webpage separately to adjust it to my preference (still not prefect, and sometimes changes on its own, but definitely manageable). - 128 G memory is not enough. - Lenovo apps are annoying. - Besides, I don't really get the point of touchscreen in laptops, but particularly the fact that it doesn't come with a screen protector and I wasn't able to find one at a reasonable price caused me to hardly use this function. Same goes to the "yoga" (tablet) function of this laptop - it's also way to big and heavy to be used as a tablet, and also I didn't feel comfortable with pressing the keyboard like that. The keyboard itself is spacious and comfy, but I find the home/end page up/down keys not so well located (same with the F-keys, that can only be used with the "function" key. this saves space, but is you use them a lot, it's uncomfortable). It also get stuck on keys sometimes, and space key is not sensitive enough, and so is the mouse pad. Windows 8.1 - Basically, it sucks. Most of the time I'm using the old interface (looks just like Windows 7/vista/whatever) so I don't mind, but the new interface (app page) is difficult to use and unintuitive, practically forces you to create Microsoft profile, and gets in the way all the time (a wrong touch on the mousepad while typing moves you to the new interface, happens a lot and really annoying). - But this, technically, is something that you could get used to (and perhaps put some more effort into learning about the great advantages the new operating system has, or something). The thing is, it has many more fundamental issues - Chrome and Flash don't get along so well with win 8.1, had a serious issue with windows updates that required microsoft support etc. I guess it's because it's still new, but that was supposed to be the update for win 8 bugs... Overall, it's not a bad product, and also not very expensive, but I think it has too many problems for my basic use to be worth the price. I expected a much better quality for this price from this brand.

First thing you notice about this laptop is the phenomenal display. At almost 4k resolution it is sharp with great color, Truly the best I have seen in a laptop. Have had this model for over 6 months and it has never failed, it starts up quickly, provides all necessary power for me (mostly used for web browsing, word, excel and photoshop). The ability to work in 3 modes (laptop, tablet and tent display) is very convenient. Only downside is the 128GB drive is fairly small, but I have a 1TB USB 3.0 external drive to bring around when I need it. Have taken this on multiple trips to Europe and within the US, it is light and carries well.

Love the speed but memory comes up short. Says 128gb but when opening only 70gb can be used unless you delete backup partition which is not recommended.

I really just love this computer. Super fast start up...Love Love Love!!! So far I haven't had much use for the "yoga" portion of it but I DO love the touch screen. This thing is super thin, fits right in a Mac 13 inch sleeve.(makes finding covers and protection easier) Had to buy an external CD drive (25.00) My wife will probably get one of these too so we will share the cost of the drive between two units. Bottom line: GREAT LITTLE PUTER!!! AND BestBuy sales guy was awesome during the sale. Knowledgeable, helpful, quick and easy. It was the BEST BestBuy experience I've had in years.

Wanted a surface pro 3, but couldn't commit to the expenditure. Found this while searching for an alternative. What a great product. I needed something small that I could take back and forth to meetings with or without a carrying case. I also wanted something that could alternate between tablet and laptop modes, but would allow me to still install various Windows applications on it. -It's lightweight. I can carry it in one hand. -The i5 processor revs up and down based on application demand so you're not always burning up battery life unnecessarily. It's more than adequate to run multiple apps at the same time without impacting performance. -8GB of RAM should accommodate any memory intensive applications, or processes. -128GB SSD gives you the write and read performance you need while using up little in terms of power consumption. -Intel onboard graphics are good enough for you to run many games available on steam, or wow, hearthstone, diablo and others on low settings. Keep in mind, it's not a gaming rig, but you can handle light gaming. -I gave up the stylus on the surface three at this price point, but I haven't looked back since. It will accept a standard stylus like you can use on an iPad, but doesn't have palm blocking technology. -It does accept 10 fingers simultaneously at the same time for various gestures. -Touch panel is a breeze to use... swiping back and forth between apps is easy for any experienced tabled user. Overall, it's a great multifunction for work. Some additional notes: -Battery life is so/so. Could be a tad better. -I use the Lenovo app that shipped with the unit to conserve and extend the life of the battery. It allows you to switch between various performance modes. -Machine is loaded with bloatware, and a system recovery partition that seriously eats up available storage. I had about 70GB of 128GB available to me before installing anything. Search the web, and you'll find some instructions on how to put the recovery partition on external media, remove it and free up about 18-20GB of space. On average it will take you a few hours to get everything done, but trust me, it's worth it.

I had a 17" notebook that was about 5 years old. It became infected with a pop up virus. The cost and effort of cleaning it and reinstalling all the software wasn't worth. The price point on the Lenovo was just right. While it is more difficult to work the smaller keyboard, I don't need to do that much original in put so its a draw back I can learn to live with. Although learning Windows 8 is a challenge.

I purchased this for my wife in lieu of a MB air. She really enjoyed the 2 in 1 features especially the touchscreen. The computer was excellent except for one mishap with the headphone jack which went out. BB was extremely understanding and swapped out and not any problems reoccurred. It certainly competes with any in its price range.

I bought the lenovo yoga after some research and consulting a tech savvy friend. It meets all my needs. It's super fast which is way cool. I love that it can be used as a tablet, or laptop in a variety of ways. I'm not keen on the apps so I don't use them. It took some time to get used to the speed as it moves too quickly. It is easy to use but sometimes switches screens and such because it is super sensitive. The speed and sensitivity can be adjusted in the control panel though.

I bought this laptop for my wife for her online business. This is the second Lenovo laptop we've owned. An improvement over the last Lenovo Yoga is having the back-lit keyboard. The battery lasts a long time and there are battery saving settings that are nice options. The laptop is lightweight and small enough to carry in a large purse. The ability to fold back the screen so that it can be propped up or folded back on itself to be used as a tablet is another reason this computer is so versatile. It was on sale for under $900 and I was able to trade in another computer which lower the price even more. Overall very happy with this purchase.

Was looking for a convertible laptop with a 12 - 14 inch screen and researched ACER, HP, Toshiba, Lenovo and many others. Most of the others didn't support full HD resolution and no SD drive. I am extremely happy with the performance and have never seen a screen so crisp and clear even at the highest resolution. The SD drive makes all the difference with boot times under 10 seconds and shutdown times just as fast. Touchscreen is amazing and the backlit keyboard is great. Got an open box unit for only $100 more than a comparable HP or Toshiba with the better drive and screen. Can't say enough about the incredible value and durability.

It could have more storage and it could have a CD drive, but if all you want is a laptop to perform basic functions such as Microsoft Office and internet searching, then this is ideal. It's light and it's thin and it's easy to carry around, so it's perfect for college kids and those who have to bring a laptop to work. I suggest you invest in an external hard drive if you have a lot of movies or pictures, as this computer doesn't have the most storage space.

This was purchased for someone to take into the field due to it being lightweight and having a SSD. For that, it is a great piece of hardware and I endorse it fully. That said, the amount of bloatware on the machine is breathtaking and will take some time and savvy to remove. By all means get it, but be ready to spend a few hours of prep time on it.

Bought this laptop for my son who's headed off to college as a freshman. Decided to go with a Windows machine instead of Apple (he's majoring in business, not graphic arts). The laptop itself is pretty nice. I use a corporate-issued Dell for work, and this is much lighter and boots up fast with the solid state drive. I'm not familiar with Windows 8 since we use Windows 7 at home and at work. I haven't found anything about Windows 8 that I like better than Windows 7, so the fact that everything is different is just annoying rather than pleasant. Unlike my update from XP to 7 where I liked the look, fast boot time, extra OS features that were helpful, and found pretty much everything where I expected it, Windows 8 is just a new look that slows me/us down and doesn't offer any compelling reason to buy it. I realize this review is about the laptop, and for that I give Lenovo top marks. But it comes with Windows 8 installed and has no option for Windows 7. If it came with Windows 7, I would give it 5/5.

I didn't realize how old my laptop was until I tested out the Yoga. I absolutely LOVE my new one! I'm not a tech savvy person, and was scared to go from Windows Vista to Windows 8, but I was able to figure it out (maybe with a little help) fairly quick. I love the touch screen, and the different positional capabilities. The perfect computer for me! I use Office and surf and occasionally will watch Netflix, but I have a big screen television and feel silly doing that. I don't know well this computer would be for someone who is a bit more savvy than me, but I love it.

I was in need of a new computer to complete the required work for an online degree, and this computer was the selection I made. I wasn't a fan of windows 8.1 at first, but it becomes fairly intuitive very quickly. There are a few little things that I have not figured out yet, though they are only minor things that prove miniscule annoyances (user errors). I would definitely recommend this computer for anyone who needs a laptop/tablet for school or work.
