Nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a pretty solid computer. I bought refurbished and I haven't noticed any issues that would make me regret it. The only problem I've had with it is the pointer disappearing when switching back to laptop mode from tablet. I have to put the computer to sleep, then wake it back up. Other than that, it's pretty fantastic. Easy transition from a 17" to this 13.3". Touchscreen is easy to get used to and very handy.

Very disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my Yoga 2 about 5 months ago, I wanted a laptop to mostly do work (spreadsheets, email, word), watch movies and listen to music. The Yoga should be able to do all of this, but it's been nothing but a disappointment. First off,the wifi is pretty terrible. Second, this lap top gets hotter than the surface of the sun, its fan is constantly on, i purchased a lap top cooler to help, but it takes away from the Yoga slim design. And third, i can't watch any movies or shows on it, this is what ticks me off the most. Every time i play something, it glitches, every 3 seconds i experience and audio and video glitch (streaming video or playing something on my drive), this is accompanied by a 100% disk usage spike. This makes it near impossible to sit through any show. I've brought it back to Best Buy about 3-4 times, hoping they could solve the issue, because I bought the 2 year black tie warranty with it. They couldn't do anything. They said they fixed it, but all they did was re install Windows, after I told them about 10 times that I've already tried that and it doesn't work. So i believe them and drive 30 minutes back home, only to find out the issue is still present. This happens two more times before they just tell me, "hey, I don't know what to tell you, you'll have to call Lenovo for help". Super... I spend $200 for an extra warranty, which is supposed to "cover anything and everything" and they tell me they can't fix it. I was and still am furious..... I call Lenovo, but after being on hold for 30 minutes and being transferred from person to person, with no answers, I gave up with them. But i did fix the issue, I went out and bought a $120 Dell refurbished tower, because i need to do my work and since i don't have cable, i need my Netflix; which the Dell plays beautifully. My advice, don't buy a Yoga, go for the MacBook, like I should have, and thoroughly consider Best Buy's Black Tie Warranty, because it didnt help me at all. I'm fresh out of ideas on what to do, I didnt expect Best Buy to give me a new Yoga, but i thought theyd at least fix mine or try to help, not just tell me to leave..... Just a warning to everyone.

versatile laptop for teacher
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop for use as a TA. It is lightweight and can be used as a tablet when lecturing or a traditional laptop when taking notes. The touchscreen is very responsive, the SSHD is lightning fast to boot up. It does have minimal memory so you will need an external drive if you are saving a lot of video or photos. It would not be the right computer if you are running big programs like autocad. For a liberal arts major, though who mostly deals in pdfs and word docs it is great.

Nice!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love that this is light, fast, easy to set up, and flips into tent mode, tablet mode, laptop mode, etc. Windows 8 is a little weird but you get used to it. This machine is very fast to start up and shut down - what a difference as compared to my old Vista laptop! I am still figuring things out but so far am very pleased.

Great computer for price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was lookin for a new computer to use online and manage photos. Computer runs great, starts up quick. Touch screen is accurate and works well. Only complaint is the touch pad mouse, not sure if this is just the new treat but the right and left click mouse are not raised up compared to the touch pad so there is no distinct difference. Touch pad feels cheap.

love my new laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a student and a teacher. I like to consider myself a tech savy person just because I put some effort in keeping up. I previously had a lenovo thinkpad-bought for its sturdiness and reliability. I am in love with this yoga2 because it doesn't break my back when I carry it in my backpack. I rely heavily on my computer for spreadsheets and of course course work. the battery will last for 5 hours-I am charging it correctly to try to ensure the long battery life. And while getting used to windows 8 takes time-I'm still learning new things-it rocks! But if it weren't touchscreen it would be very annoying. the flipping it can be useful sometimes-not that big a deal. As a gamer the graphics are not so great-try a bigger non ultrabook. The volume will not go very high but I'm used to this from my old thinkpad-get headphones or connect a speaker if you must.

Best Laptop I have owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this laptop with a 10% off best buy coupon for around $750. I was choosing between this and the next model up with the i7 processor but decided that I will save the extra $200-$300 with this model. This laptop can do everything. Its powerful enough to be a desktop replacement and its light enough to be a companion with you on the road.

Saved the Day!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When my laptop burnt out, and my tablet was clearly not going to be able to suffice for school purposes, I started shopping around for a 2 in 1. I almost got the Surface Pro 3, but upon more investigating, there were a few issues that I couldn't get passed. A sales rep at suggested the Yoga 2. The only reservation I had, was that there is no smart pen accessory like the Surface Pro 3. So for a couple months I researched and went back and forth on what I should purchase. I went in one afternoon ready to purchase SOMETHING, I was down to the wire where school/work was concerned and I needed something. A sales rep again suggested the Yoga 2 and then pointed out that he had an opened box on sale. I snagged it up and it was one of the best decisions I made! The backlit keyboard, the different positions I can orient my 2 in 1, and the power this little guy has is unmatched in my experience. I am surviving without the smart pen. In tablet mode, I am uneasy about pressing on the keyboard from the back, and I purchased a sleeve by Lenovo, well it was the wrong model and the holes for the ports didn't line up. Turns out there is no custom sleeve for my model, that is my one and only complaint, but I still give 5 stars because that has nothing to do with the actual product. Would recommend again and again.

Fast, portable, versatile
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had bought an HP 2 in 1 but it was very slow, returned to Best Buy and picked this one up after talking to a very knowledgable "geek". Much faster processor,I like the ability to turn into a tablet style. Hate Windows 8, but I know I need to learn it, thank goodness my home computer is a Mac.! Apple products and apps are superior!

flexible use laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good laptop and I love the option to use it in a number of positions. The touch screen is super useful. However, there is a design defect in that the ac adapter port is the exact same shape as a USB port and it's hard to tell the difference between it and the USB port right next to it. Other than that, no problems.

Excellent Laptop option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy so far with this product. Have mainly used in laptop mode but I do like the ability to use the touch screen and tablet like features. I haven't used much other than browsing and quicken to date but computing power seems adequate. I did buy a dvd drive to go with it just to have. 4 stars only because it has two USB

2 in 1 touchscreen
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is very lightweight. I'm use to desktop versions, so it's taking me a while to get use to the touchscreen. It's very sensitive and keeps switching screens on me. The hard drive isn't large and it's doesn't have a disc drive, so I purchased an external drive for saving pictures, music and other large files.

Awesome flexibility!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the flexibility of this laptop. The various modes allow for lots of different uses. The battery lasts far longer than any laptop I've owned before. I never realized what a difference a solid state drive makes. I don't think I could ever go back to a hard disk drive. The only minor flaw I've come across is the touch pad can sometimes be a little too sensitive for my liking. Otherwise, I absolutely love this machine.
