First thing I noticed is how freaking hot the bottom gets. Second was battery consumption. After an hour of use, I was down to 73% of battery, so that is less than 4 hours of pure Internet browsing, with Bluetooth and WiFi on. This morning I switched to Power Saver and Conservation modes, but the screen dims a good bit.
For my eyes I had to drop to 1600x900 for my display, but younger folks wont have to do this.
I agree with other reviews that say it lags at times, but I am figuring ways to adjust to that minor challenge. While outclassed by some of its peers, the display is still very good.
If I had not gotten such an amazing deal I might take it back just for the heat generated, but I tested it with a meter and it is within the expected operation temps of 40 to 46c (104-114.8f). Considering it is "fanless," and dead silent, that heat is a mildly acceptable trade off.
I'll give it a couple more days, and run some Office productivity while keeping a browser open. If I drop below 4 hours of battery life, it is not worth any of the benefits. The new Microsoft Surface 3 promotes 10 hours, but it still argues for a flat surface to use the keyboard, where the Yoga can be used anywhere in any configuration.

I read a lot of reviews on BB and other websites regarding this particular Lenovo model. People had varied views depending upon the reason they bought the laptop. My reasons were internet browsing, watching online TV, movies, listening to songs and some light MS Office work. This laptop hits all those reasons dead on. The processor speed can feel a bit slow if you have multiple apps/windows open, but it is not that big a difference to spend additional $$$ to up the speed.
I was also looking at MS Surface as an option and comparing costs, features and specs, felt the Lenovo is best option for me. This model is super light, which is comparable to the Surface models.
Happy so far with the laptop.

A little about myself. I am a computer professional. Use them, program them, live with them. I typically am a early-ish adopter when new things come out. When I started to looking for a mid-point small laptop, the convertibles with the touch-screens appealed to me. I wanted something small, light, reasonably fast, with fairly long battery life. I also need to run some Microsoft based programs, so Macs were out. After doing some research, this Lenovo seemed to be fairly broadly liked. The features compare favorably against its rivals, and its feature set meets my needs nicely. I've had it now for a month and I can honestly say that I love it.
With all of that said, it did come with Windows 8 on it (some come with Windows 10, some with 8). I updated it to Windows 10 and it worked quite well at first. After an update though, the touch screen wouldn't respond, the USB ports didn't work, and neither did the SD card slot. I was able to fix these using the MS provided troubleshooting software. But I could see how some folks might be less prepared to do so. Makes me wish for my Mac.....Of course, none of that is the computer's fault.
Overall its great for my use and I would recommend this to a friend who knows how to deal with a MS machine.

The design is excellent. Trackpad is awful compared with any apple laptops that are made of glass. It's small and sturdy. Don't be fooled by all the ram, the laptop will still run kinda slow. The core M just does not compare with i3,i5 and of coarse i7. Do yourself a a service and not get anything with core M unless all you do is email, Netflix, internet browsing. I found many web apps to be slow.

cpu 4/10 (not bad for everyday tasks)
graphics 2/10 (gets warm while watching youtube @ 1080p and cant handle any games)
weight 9/10 (very light)
multitasking isnt an issue with internet or simple apps, struggles heavy when launching league of legends or gopro editor.
great laptop for college and notetaking with minor video watching.

My only complaint is that in upgrading the device to Windows10 it created a technical issue that tech support couldn't resolve regarding the onscreen keyboard when the device is in tablet mode. As a result the device has been rolled back to the Windows 8 operating system until they have a solution.
Sometimes the touch screen is not quick to respond when it's in Laptop mode.

Overall, a great little computer that does exactly what I want. Super light and versatile. However, the m core processors definitely pack less of a punch, so keep that in mind for whatever your tasks are. I was in a group video chat and the screen kept freezing. Oh well I guess. Also, the speakers made this strange crackling sound. I found when I uninstalled the realtek driver, the speakers worked fine. Not sure why it came with an incompatible driver, but it was an easy fix. Overall, it works for what I need, but maybe my computing tasks just aren't that demanding.

I love this little unit. I have had it 2 months and it beats the heck out of the HP I traded for it. At first I was unsure about purchasing the Yoga, I wanted the Surface Pro, but I couldn't be happier with this computer. It travels well, feels substantial (not cheap) but it is light. For me not having a back lit keyboard is a non-issue due to the on screen keyboard. I could never spend 6 hours in front of a computer so the battery life is more than adequate for my use. The picture is great. Easy to use. More than 1 USB port. For a light computer user/ non tech person this is a perfect machine.

I bought this machine after wanting a light, fan-less machine that I could work with anywhere. Overall, I'm pleased with the laptop. The ability to transform the laptop is nice when you want it. The screen is beautiful, and performance is typically solid with occasional slowdowns if the system gets too aggressive throttling the CPU. Definitely recommend this model or it's successors to people doing everything from casual web browsing to designing in the Adobe suite.

I wanted something light weight east to carry on the go and this computer was perfect. It is well made not flimsy like of the computers that convert into a tablet. It is touch screen which makes doing therapy notes to activities with kids easy to move between. I am very happy with my purchase

I love this laptop! It's excellent for multi-tasking! I use it for emailing, web browsing, taking notes, watching movies, etc and it never has problems keeping up! I love how it converts from laptop to tent, tablet, and stand mode with ease. Most of all, I love how light it is! I bought it with Windows 8.1 and upgraded to Windows 10 but a lot of the features that make this laptop unique were disabled and the WiFi was extremely slow! I ended up converting back to Windows 8.1 and everything is back to normal! The only concern I've had with the laptop is the occasional flickering of the screen but other than that, I love it. This is definitely a great investment!

Great little computer. Very light and easy to use. My first one powered up only once, but Best Buy replaced it quickly. Knowledgeable staff. The only complaint about the computer is it does not automatically connect back to my home wireless network after I take it to work. I have to go through troubleshooting. Lenovo Help Line was very unhelpful the first time but subsequent contacts have been good.

I liked the Lenovo branded products that I was already familiar with, and choosing this 2-in-1 laptop confirmed my impressions of their products. The laptop, as well as the wall-charger is lightweight and it fits in a small and easy-to-carry (not included) case.

I purchased this laptop for College purposes. It is really fast and I am enjoying not having to wait for programs to load. The only downside I see so far is that the pad buttons are a little difficult to use. Overall it is a good buy.

Got these computers as a gift for my children when we started homeschooling. They are perfect for our 11,9, and 7 year old. Very kid friendly and durable! Love the speed as well. The kids love that it can be used as a tablet as well. Touch screen feature is amazing!

I use the Lenovo Yoga 3 11.6" as a replacement to an old desk top at the office. I added a large monitor which stays at work. When I leave the office the Lenovo slides into my purse like a tablet and I hardly know it's there! It's fast and easy to use.

My daughter decided that the super-sized 17" laptop she had was not practical for college and decided to spend some of her summer earnings on the yoga 3 11. The student discount really helped, and she is very happy with her choice.

Great screen, light weight and equipped for speed with 8gb ram and 256gb ssd. Like so many lenovos, the battery life could be better but it's still at least okay at about 4-5 hours.
