Perfect for a computer science student!

I heavily researched a plethora of laptops before I decided on the Yoga 14" 2 in 1. I can say that I know the ins and outs of computers so any hesitant buyers should look no further. It's super light and sleek making it very portable. The i5 processor intertwined with the 256gb SSD makes startup and multitasking super fast and efficient. Literally boots up from a full shutdown in 10 seconds! Although the "phantom" touch issue did arise, I was able to resolve it my updating one of the drivers after I did some research on it. The full HD display makes watching movies great! The one problem is the sound. The speakers itself is great, but for some reason, the speakers are on the bottom of the laptop so in laptop mode, sound quality isn't that great. Since I run several CPU-heavy programs at once being a Computer Science student, battery does drain fairly quickly. With basic programs and tasks such as watching videos, music, browsing and standard word processing, the battery life should be more than enough. Personally, I would've also preferred an HDMI port instead of a Micro HDMI, but I definitely accommodated with a Micro HDMI adapter. Overall, this is perfect for a college student or anyone that is looking for something to work on. Light, portable, powerful, and fast. 9/10

Another college emergency case here. Out of state daughter away for college fried her laptop. This Yoga 3 is packed with great components. I'm glad this one had the latest 5th gen i5 cpu. I wanted her to have a laptop with an SSD and this one came with a 256GB. She had no problems setting up and she is digging Windows 10 which was pre-installed. Thanks to Best Buy's online purchase option with family pickup at a different location really helped me and my daughter out.

Windows 10, not so much. Design is good but I've had to resolve one issue after another. Very good laptop - versatile and fast.

I bought it for college, because it was light and easy to carry. It is so fast and comfortable to use that I use it at home as well. I am using it more often than I use my Ipad and my desktop together. It loads very fast and the battery life is great! I use it all day long without charging it for 7-8 hrs of intense use (internet search, word, excel and power point, youtube and more)

Not as slim as the Pro, but still quite thin and light. Windows 10 plays well with the hardware. Lost a star because I had to exchange the first one due to some malfunctioning drivers and creaking hinge. The new one seems to be working a lot better, so it was probably just a lemon. There's a bit of Lenovo bloatware, but otherwise, a good system.

I am thrilled about how fast this computer loads and works compared to my last one a Toshiba. I really hate, nor have time to sit and twiddle my thumbs waiting for pages to load so appreciate the speed and it doesn't lock up if I have more than three internet sites open at a time. I have not put this computer through all its paces yet like using the tablet set up to watch a video, etc. By the time I'm done at my desktop for the day, I'm generally tired of being on the computer. The one thing I really don't like about this laptop is how the font sizes change on their own with no input from me. If anyone knows why I'd really like to know. I did figure out how to change them back finally, but no fun to have your fonts set exactly how you want them and then they jump up to extra huge for no reason. I would also like to know how to take the Lenovo home page or what ever it is being the default internet site that it wants to load every time I turn the computer on to go on line. I have no desire to go there, but then maybe I would find an answer to my questions? This was a strange situation in that at the same time I got this computer I was given a new Asus computer to use and review as well, so I was trying to get used to two computers at a time. Which is why it is taking me a bit longer to figure out all the little different things about each of them. Only giving this a four star until I can figure out the score on the fonts changing nonsense since it is VERY annoying.

This computer is great for all of my school assignments. This is my first year of college and I wanted a computer that had enough storage to deal with all my papers and assignments. This computer is great for essays, projects, and for taking notes in a notebook style screen position. I put it in the tent form when I'm studying for tests, and then the fully rotated style when I need to take notes and do online assignments. It's also great for all my music and internet searches that I do. It's super skinny and lightweight which is great because I can carry it in my backpack all day, since I live an hour away from campus so I need to have my laptop with me always. My favorite part is the keyboard that lights up when I need it!

I got this open-box for about $550. It is very light, portable, and quiet, but also performs great. The battery life is pretty good. I can browse the internet and stream video, such as Netflix, for 4 to 5 hours on a single charge. If you can find one open-box, I would definitely recommend this product.

This is my first laptop. Migrating to Windows 10 has been easier than previous experiences. The salesperson was knowledgeable and a good communicator. the computer seems a little slower than my desktop. I don't know if it makes a difference that the desktop is adjacent to the router and the laptop is on another floor of the house. The Lenovo manual has been helpful.

I like the computer very much. It is as fast as advertised and includes many desirable features. I am adjusting to the Windows and other updated software since my previous computer was older and slower. Did have an internet challenge for awhile. Took it in and it was repaired successfully.

This computer was everything that I needed for school. Lightweight and fast made it easy to carry in my book bag and also for surfing the web. I use it mainly for taking notes and working in excel. The touchscreen is a plus!

This computer has done quite well for us so far. The one downfall so far is that is does not maintain a wireless network connection very well. It drops the connection repeatedly during use, sometimes causing the wireless access point to lock up. Other than that, it has been easy to use. We are still adjusting to having a touch screen monitor.

I am wondering if this computer was used and returned to the store. I am having issues with it and when I went to look at wifi networks it showed it had logged on using locations where I had not clicked to connect or even visited. There are issues with it losing connection to our wifi, scroll arrows not reacting when pushed all the time, and touch screen not responding each time.

Works flawlessly, snappy. Beautiful IPS FullHD screen, nice keyboard (not a Thinkpad, but better than other shallow ultrabook keyboards). Good enough battery life. Look for discounts on this one given that a newer model is already hitting stores.

This is a great computer: slim, light, nice screen, great battery and feels well made. I initially had problems with the pre-installed windows 10 (blue screen of death). Had to return it and get a new one. It's working great now!

We bought this to replace an ancient Toshiba Satellite, and it has served well. It is lightweight and has nice features. The only downside is the lack of DVD drive, which one can resolve by purchasing an external drive. That's the price you pay to get the low weight though.
