Owned now for about two months, the laptop is thin, light, and has good performance for everyday tasks. Build quality is good, haven't tested the battery life since I mainly use it at home near power. Only downside is a small amount of bloatware, and the unit is a little pricey - but comparable with other higher end ultrabook style laptops.

Great 2-in-1 for a college student

When looking at a laptop for a college student, paying nearly $1,000 for something like this was not initially in my plans. We started out by looking at units in the $500 price range. Our thought process was to keep away from the $300 specials because we wanted decent performance and durability, and I think it's quite difficult to find either at such a low price range. Even at $500, though, it's quite rare to be able to get an SSD drive, which can have a significant impact on perceived performance and it helps battery life as well. When comparing the value of this laptop against the other models we were looking at, it became clear that the extra features that this had were worth the extra money, and then it just came down to whether we wanted to spend it or not. While I still have reservations about spending so much on a laptop that is going to be in a rough environment, with a chance of it getting taken, we're very happy with the purchase. The backlit keyboard is quite nice. I have an older ThinkPad Edge laptop that lacks the backlight, and it's probably the most significant downside to it. It has served me quite well over the years, even if it's a chunky slowpoke compared to this unit! The curved keys won us over from the Scrabble tile-like keys on the ASUS that we were considering. Another great feature of this unit is the gorgeous screen. While the resolution on a 13.3" screen could be considered overkill, the combination of the high resolution and scaling makes for an incredible image. The hinge on the screen feels very durable, and switching between all the different orientations is easy and doesn't make you feel like you're going to break something in the process. Overall this is a very nice laptop. If you can justify the cost, you will be rewarded with features not available in lower-cost units.

Bought the laptop for my wife's business and it is great. Light, many tools, and speedy. The only issue is the battery life, she has to ensure she has her charging cord when she goes to client meetings.

Very light, easy to open and close, great battery life, has lasted 6+ hours on long flights. I like that the power port acts as a 3rd USB port. Touch screen is great. Don't use is as a tablet, the keyboard ends up on your lap on occasion. Incredibly fast boot up.

Loving my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro! I've been dreaming of going down to one device (besides my phone) for quite some time but was never able to achieve that. This device lets me do it. I haven't used my other tablets since I got it. That being said, I'm mostly a laptop mode user. With respect to tablet usage, I really like the hinge because it lets you prop the screen in any position without having to hold it like with most tablets. The touch interface is quick and smooth. I'm definitely looking forward to the Windows 10 interface as the Windows 8.1 interface is kind of a compromise between a tablet and desktop interface - and it's constantly flipping between the two which is annoying. Once I get Windows 10 I think I will reach Nirvana.

This thing is fast, light and flat out performs. The only thing I'd change is the power plug. Also, it came pre-loaded with some adware that quickly got out of hand as it led to app installs that were infected.

I was anticipating buying a MacBook as my next laptop. But when a best buy associate introduced me to the Lenovo Pro Yoga, I fell in love. It's lightweight, comparable to the MacBook but uses windows instead, and it converts to a tablet. It runs super fast and it works great. I'm happy with my decision.

Great computer and very light. I commute with it to work and school and the size and weight make it very easy to do so. The tablet and touch screen capabilities make it convenient for school work and taking notes in class with a stylus.

This is a new product to me. My 3 year old Laptop I loved & found easy & reliable unfortunately crashed (guess not reliable) & not repairable. This laptop was chosen as had good reviews & my #1 requirement was very light weight & screen size. I find Windows 8 not user friendly & after 2 months still trying to figure out all the features (EX not sure best setting to preserve the battery life). Bottom line not finding ease of a user friendly laptop. Not sure I wouldn't recommend so will say recommend with reservations.

I purchased this laptop for my wife & overall she's happy with it. She uses it primarily to read e-books and watch the occasional video. It's very lightweight and compact and the fact that it folds backwards so you can hold it like a magazine makes it perfect for reading. The only complaint she does have is the touchscreen seems to be very sensitive. One unintended touch and the page is completely off. Wish it had the sensitivity of a smartphone touchscreen but other than that it's a very good laptop.

Yoga laptop is as versatile as ever, except it's noticeably thinner and lighter ... The battery life has improved too, but it still lags behind the competition, no doubt because that slim design doesn't leave room for a bigger cell.

I'm coming into the ultra book market a bit late, but wow what a difference in weight. The screen is also amazing, however do be prepared for some apps having trouble with the resolution.

Huge screen and still lightweight enough to use as a tablet. Enough power (and memory) to run multiple instances of my custom software at work simultaneously. VPN seams faster than my old laptop. This screen is big enough to use for writing software. Most tablets need an additional monitor. Four stars because (like all Lenovo products and many competitors) you need half a day to remove the software they force on you and you can't be sure you got it all. In comparison, I broke two surface pro 3 within the 30 day return period and they don't run my software as well. This is a much better piece of hardware.

So far this Yoga has been excellent for my use working as a consultant and at home. The ability to convert into tablet mode and display to clients is amazing. Also using this with hangouts with my 8 month old works wonderfully. I have a couple of negatives that I have found, but nothing major: - there is some bloatware I still have problems with - I can't seem to find a good option for a stylus to use with Onenote - the little knob on the end of the hinge came off after a week and there is no replacement. - The M chip is a little underpowered for MAJOR processing For those reasons I took one star off.

At first it was frustrating because I had not worked with windows 8 but once I got the hang of it, I was hooked. The computer is so light and thin. I take everywhere. Love it!!! The screen colors are so vivad and clear.

After searching for a light weight laptop, I decided to purchase the Yoga 3 Pro. I was able to purchase it on sale plus education discount, so the price wasn't too bad. The touchscreen and mousepad works great. I liked the screen resolution. Overall the laptop worked great. I didn't give it five stars because I did have some issues with the software (Windows 8).

The Yoga 3 Pro replaced my Helix. The extremely lightweight combined with the solid feel of the hinge and the versatility of the tablet-mode makes it a great product. I enjoy the updated chip and graphics capability compared to the Helix and the Wi-Fi connection is great. I still worry about the exposed (backlit) keys when flipped to tablet -mode but I have had no problems with them. I am able to do all of the typical Office work along with demanding statistics software and even some games (the display is awesome if a bit crowded but the external monitor at my desk solves that nicely). I wish the battery life was a bit longer but it is quite reasonable and the charger is small and lightweight. I carry a network cable-USB adapter and a microUSB-HDMI adapter and I am all set to connect at the office if I choose. I am very pleased with the Yoga 3 Pro.
