had to bring back as there was a problem with the screen when first turned on. Couldn't get past this screen. Bought it to local Best Buy and I changed it out for a different model. A Acer Aspire R.

I had been looking at the Intel m3 equivalent, reading reviews, watching prices. Did not know this m5 version of the Yoga 700 even existed. Found it at the local Best Buy, open-box buy $421. It is a really nice size and with the tent option, I do not have to hold it up in my arthritic hands. The display is really nice and everything runs fast. Windows 10 has improved hugely since it first appeared and I am now learning the bells and whistles. Though the Windows store is nothing like the Apple store, I have found more apps at download.com, and have most needs covered. I am not a gamer, but have jigsaw apps, card games, mahjongg and for me that is enough. I love OneNote as I like to write and create, and it runs well with this display and processor. Using this PC in tent mode also allows air circulation to keep things running cool. It gets warm when the keyboard is flat on my lap. I am pleased and hope that the hardware continues to run without problems.

Boots fast and the Intel m5 processor is zippy.Has handled every task easily and the screen is beautiful. So light and compact and love the multi positioning. I bought this to replace a Microsoft Surface 3 which gave me too many problems. This PC is reliable and versatile.

This 2-in-1 looks great, its the perfect size for travel. I work part-time as a realtor and wanted a computer that would be smaller, light weight, and be fast. The Lenovo impressed me at first sight with its compact but solid construction. The display looks great too. It sports an intel m5 processor that manages to handle the medium amount of multitasking I've thrown at it. I'm not a heavy user. At most I have 4-5 webpages open and a music player. When I was initially setting it up however, I was transferring and downloading files and programs while updating and browsing the web. I tried to put it through its paces and I wasn't disappointed. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

lenovo has quality issues. this is my second new lenovo product that failed within days. both devices completely unusable. the good - profile is great. keyboard is responsive and feels good. product is light but doesnt feel cheap. the bad - performance is ok but weaker than expected. power and volume buttons do not have a good feel. the worst thing is the failure of the machine to charge when i have only owned it for days. i really wanted to keep this machine but im returning it and will likely change to a different manufacturer. i will also likely stay away from the intel m processor series.

You can get it for open box price around $400 or so. Otherwise it is overpriced a bit. I got mine open box and got it all the way down to $300 to be able to add a year protection as well for that price tier. At that price its a no brainer. It has SSD, FHD screen, slim form factor, plenty of ports, touchscreen and flips 360. Those are very important and useful features for a field laptop. Still testing the battery but it is probably going to be average at best (4-5 hours real world) That would not have been an issue except the new Lenovos use a newer and proprietary tip that even Amazon has not caught up with yet for after market plugs. It is small though and can be carried easily with you but if you lose it you are in a world of trouble to find a replacement locally. The battery and the special power tip and lack of backlit keyboard is minus one star. But since I got this cheaper than the Atom, non HD, non SSD older version, I really can't complain. So, as mentioned in the thread title, try and find a open box and then ask the local Best Buy folks nicely for additional 10% etc or lower to get a Geek Squad protection on it for peace of mind as well.

Major Issue Not Once, But Twice

So I've had lenovo laptops in the past and always held them in high regard in terms of quslity. It was time for a new laptop and i had done my research and really liked this model. Aesthetically attractive, portable, lightweight, decent processing power, versatility, etc. I bought it on sale for about $650 before tax at my local best buy location. Was excited to plug it in and power it up and when I did the all-black welcome screen popped up and all along the edges and in the corners of the display there was significant yellow discoloration. I thought "okay, so maybe it's just the start up screen and it's supposed to be like that". Nope. I get to the home screen and still- yellowish discoloration along all the edges of the display similar to how it looks if you apply a lot of pressure to the front or back of a laptop screen. I take it back and explain the issue and exchange it for the same model thinking it was just a fluke, no big deal. This time I test it out in-store to protect myself from any liability if it had the same issue. Low and behold, it did. Albeit, it wasn't as bad as the first one, it still had one specific area of the screen with the same issue. Not sure if this is an issue with manufacturing, shipping, or what, but I'm extremely disappointed in lenovo. I've had thinkpads in the past and absolutely loved them, but I'm really starting to question whether lenovo is a brand i can trust for making quality products anymore. I'm sure others have bought this model and had absolutely no issues with it, but just beware. I suggest testing it out before you leave the store. I probably won't be purchasing any lenovo products again after this terrible experience. Spent my whole afternoon sorting this out and ended up going home with nothing. Just beware.
