Blue screen appears frequently while I am using it from the first two weeks I bought it. I went to Geek Squad they said will charge me hundreds of dollars to check it. They sent me to Microsoft. Microsoft didn't help me fix that problem, after I went there twice, for more than 1 hour each time. Now I don't know how to deal with this problematic machine...Every time I use it I am very concerned just in case it dies abruptly, blue screen comes out and all work will be gone.......

This sound like a software compatibility issue. Be sure any software you have loaded on the device is compatible with Windows 10. Back up your system if possible, all your files and programs. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the right side of the device, right near the power button on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. lenovo

I did a lot of research when looking for my next laptop. I had two models in mind...Dell XPS 13 and Asus ZenBook UX305. Unfortunately, Best Buy didn't have either to show me so I played around with other models to get a feel for what I liked about each brand. The Dells had a nice build but each floor model had some problem or another with it, so I was second guessing Dell. HP looks like they've upped their game but I've always hated unresponsive trackpads and I could tell after 5 minutes of playing with those that they haven't fixed their trackpad issues at all. Lenovo wasn't even on my radar but I stumbled upon the Lenovo Yoga 710 14" and I had so much fun playing around with it and I found myself coming back to it over and over again. What I like most: - edgeless HD display is awesome - being able to use touchscreen on a regular laptop is handy for me - trackpad is extremely responsive - extremely light with a solid-built, aluminum feel - SSD is super quiet - battery life is the best I've ever had - the shortcut keys along top of keyboard are awesome (can mute/lower/raise volume, dim/brighten screen, set airplane mode, lock screen, refresh page, etc. with one simple click) - great balance of processor (core i5), storage (256 GB), and memory (8 GB DDR4) for excellent price (bought during back-to-school sale) What I don't like: - the shift key on the right side is smaller than normal and it took me long adjustment time to learn how to press the shift key instead of the up arrow which is where you'd expect the shift key to extend to. - sometimes when I come out of hibernation, the startup screen sort of hesitates on me and I have to give it a few moments before the password box comes up - when I handle the display, sometimes my finger barely touches the screen but since it's a touch screen it thinks you are trying to select something on the screen. There may be a setting to fix that but I haven't found it yet. Everything else is just fine. I can't comment on ports because I never attach anything to my laptop, but if I did, I think there ample # of ports here that cover the basic needs. The "convertible" aspect whereby you can flip the display around and use this as a tablet is a nice feature which I rarely use, but it comes in handy once in a while. Although, keep in mind that the 14" model is a bit big for tablet mode, so don't count on using tablet mode as a primary option for the 14". I was weary of upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7 which I LOVED, but I have since upgraded this to Windows 10 Anniversary edition and I am falling in love with Windows all over again. I am not a gamer, nor do I store lots of media (pictures, music, or video) on my laptop, so I cannot make a recommendation based on those criteria. However, I am a new computer science student and this computer works great for me for doing internet research, streaming movies and music, and doing my school work, including doing basic computer programming. If you plan on using it for those purposes, I can highly recommend this laptop.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 700-14. With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP. lenovo

With an i3 chip. SSD and lots of RAM, this is a very fast little laptop. Boots in second and handles all chores in a speedy fashion. Very sharp 14 inch touchscreen allows it do double duty as a big tablet if you wish to use it that way. Keyboard folds totally back or you can use it a as a kickstand. Backlit keyboard is a nice touch. Long battery life -- 6-8 hours depending on how used. Charging is via USB (charger included) and takes a while. Buy it on sale to get best bank for the buck.

This is my first touch screen laptop and it is great. It is light, compact, and easy to use. I love that it converts to a tablet with ease. The only problem I have had with it is connecting to wifi. Sometimes I have to restart my laptop in order to connect, but other than that I have had no problems!

I bought one for my mother, she wanted something that was light weight and compact enough to fit into her purse. The best part is the configurations. The one that i bought had 8 gig memory and 256 SSD, no complaints so far for an average use. Touch screen is pretty responsive no complaints there either.

it has been several years since I purchased a computer and I am still a fan of laptops vs tablets. This model has what I wanted with backlit keyboard, touch screen capability, solid state disc, and light weight. It also has a reasonable price for what you get.. One downside is that it comes without a CD Rom. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I still like to have a built in ability to play CD's or install software via CD.

I will be honest. The only reason I got the laptop was because I got it at a student discounted price. It is a decent laptop with the latest configurations. What I liked: The performance of the laptop matches my expectations, while it isn't exactly a performance workhorse, It holds up well with moderate loads and the SSD ensures fast boot time and faster application startup times. The profile of the laptop: while it is slim it doesn't feel flimsy and rotating the screen by 360 is smooth. What I didn't like: The keyboard: It does take some getting used to I have been using the laptop for a month, I still think I am not used to the keys with shorter travel distance. Random whirring of the fans, Previously, I was thinking this was a result of the application load, but I have noticed whirring sound of the fans at no/negligible loads as well. Overall, it is still a good product for the discounted price.

Although I'm not a big fan of Windows 10, this laptop exceeds my expectations. Very light weight and easy to use. I work online all day every day and have to deal with large files and this little thing has handled everything without an issue. Battery life is fantastic and it starts up and shuts down almost instantly. Highly recommend for anyone who needs the flexibility of a tablet but the power of a laptop. Only downside I can see is not finding a stylus that works well with it but the search continues.

I was looking for a smaller 2-in-1 to use at work (very portable). This 14 inch YOGA model had better specs than what I was looking at in a 11.5 inch size. After a $100 discount (on sale) and a student discount ($150), the price was only about $50 more. Can't beat that, and it works great! Every program I needed installed easily and worked well. I highly recommend this for anyone!

I use this laptop for both work and home. The versatility is excellent, the speed is what I hoped for and i love the back lit keyboard. The screen size is perfect for me. I have used the 11" yoga in the past but while I love the weight of that unit, the small screen caused some eye strain at times. This 14 in 700 is just right. travels well and I highly recommend it.

I bought this 2 in 1 on sale, and with a Student Discount, for about $450. I was lucky to get it for such a low price at Best Buy! I wanted something that would be good for light gaming, browsing, streaming, etc while I'm in college. It's got 8 gigs of RAM and a core i5 processor, which allow things to run much more smoothly than a normal $500 laptop ever would. On Steam, it runs CS:GO very well in medium graphics settings-- and that's without buying the dedicated nVidia graphics card. The only possible complaint I have is that the screen, though great looking, has a few flaws. One issue is that there is a bit of backlight bleeding that I've only noticed when I use the laptop to watch movies with dark sequences at night time. It bugs me a bit, but isn't a dealbreaker. Also, the screen brightness doesn't go far in combating the effects of daylight glare. Other than that, the Lenovo Yoga 700 14 inch laptop works perfectly, and of course I'd recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I needed a basic laptop for office work and occasional video streaming. Best Buy personnel recommended a SS hard drive, and this was the cheapest option at the size and specs we wanted. I only have standard hard drives to compare it to, and I'm not much of a techie, but this laptop is ultra fast to start up and to open programs compared to other computers I've used. We bought it open box, and we have been very pleased with it. In fact, we fight over who gets to use this laptop and who gets stuck with the brand new iPad. This laptop is very sturdy, has a good quality keyboard, and is responsive to the touchscreen. Once in a while, the touchscreen won't register the precise location where I pointed, but this doesn't happen often and could very well be user error. Overall, we are highly satisfied with this laptop, and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a solid machine at a reasonable price point.

I had been in the market for a laptop for my high school student and this Lenovo was on sale as an open box item but Geek Squad certified. I couldn't pass it up. It has all the specs I was looking for in a laptop. I wanted Intel i5 processor at a minimum, I wanted solid state hard drive because I want less moving parts since this laptop is for a teenager. Thus far, all is good. The best part is, this laptop wasn't preloaded with a lot of junk. Lastly, the Lenovo Yoga is light yet sturdy and the overall finish of the device is very sleek.

I purchased this laptop right before I started college as a freshman. It works fast, efficiently and has a long battery life, which is important. The only problem I have with it is that sometimes it will turn off by itself and make a repeated really loud beeping noises. It has only happened twice but I think it may be a problem with the product itself. Other than that, I highly reccomend it!

I read a lot of reviews and looked at a lot of computers before deciding on this one. My previous computer- Dell inspiron was driving me crazy from the moment i got it, with ghost touches delays in typing etc.. after The screes spontaneously cracked it died so I was not going to get another Dell.... I had this Lenovo for 2 months. So far so good. I love the sleek look, feels sturdy and yet not too heavy. I love the feel of the keys. It boots extremely fast and responds to my satisfaction. Some things that bother me: there is no indentation along the edges to open the computer from its folding position so it takes a little effort. the other issue i have, though, I think its a window 10 issue: sometimes when I move the courser on the courser pad inside my porject, it zooms my project in and out- I am not familiar yet with the computer or windows 10 so I need to investigate if this is an "issue" or a "feature'... I am still getting some ghost affects, will have to investigate this. Over all - very happy.
