Imagine a 2018 thin and light ultrabook that had targeted for productivity without the hefty premium price. Throw in a 1050 dedicated graphics card for gaming. Looks great on paper not in real world application. My first purchase was a dud. I tried playing games on it. Even though I should have been able to play destiny 2 and overwatch on medium and low settings respectively, I couldn't. I checked task manager and saw that the dedicated graphics card wasn't kicking taking the load from the integrated one. I tried all the fixes I could find. I gave up eventually and called lenovo's tech support. The technician told me that I've done what he would have suggested and more. So he ended up telling me to return the product and have it replaced because I must have gotten a dud. Fast forward to two days later and excited for a new ultrabook, I found out that thermal throttling (a fancy term for the device getting extremely hot and slowing down processes) hindered the cpu and the overall performance. By this time, I've already sold my old ultrabook (an old lenovo yoga pro) and I wouldn't have a work laptop. I just stuck with this one. I had to download programs to lower the voltage of the cpu to optimize the attempt to lessen heat when under load thus optimizing performance. However, in doing so, I'm nit fully utilizing the capacity of the ultrabook. Ultimately, you just end up with a fancy looking shell with specs that will be equivalent to that of lower priced ultrabooks in late 2018 - early 2019

This purchase was a trade off between getting the 2 and 1 feature verses having a laptop with an SSD drive, HDD drive and DVD read/write all factory installed.

I wanted a mac, but am using for pre-architecture and much of the software for architecture school runs off windows. I would recommend this computer.

I would indeed recommend a Lenovo product as my previous computer was a Lenovo with which I was extremely satisfied with and only needed to replace due to the desire to upgrade combined with age and maintenance issues.

Great Laptop

It’s been working great until this past week. The WiFi card is not working now. Lenovo put a Realtek WiFi/Bluetooth card in some of these laptops which have known issues. I have had to purchase a new WiFi/Bluetooth m.2 card to replace it. I would have used the warranty to allow them to fix it, but needed a new card before my trip. I don’t know why Lenovo could not have spent $10 more to put in a proper WiFi card.

Posted .The Lenovo Yoga 730-15 4K model ships with the latest 5G 802.11AC frequency WiFi. The fact that your WiFi was working then stopped working properly indicates a software issue. The Yoga 730-15 4K model ships with Lenovo Utility software that can find and fix many software issues within the system. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.
