BUYER BEWARE!!! AVOID THIS LAP TOP AND LENOVO!!!

I will start of by staying this is the second Lenovo laptop that I have owned. The first was a Think Pad that I used for work, I hated that laptop due to the fact it was slow and would always freeze. So when I was in the market for another laptop I was hesitant about going with this brand. I had heard good things about Lenovo from friends and just assumed my work lap top had issued due to all the company software so I thought I would give them another try. I WAS WRONG!!! From the first month I had this lap top the screen would turn off after several minutes of non-use (to save battery life) and would not turn back on when I moved the mouse or used the key board, making me use the power button to force the computer to turn off and back on. It only happened a few times so I did not think much of it. Fast forward 9 months and the lap top does it every time the screen turns off after several minutes of non-use. I have contacted Lenovo customer service twice now and have had no resolution. Their best solution was to change the computer setting so the screen does not turn off during times of non-use, making my computer battery drain faster. Shouldn't a lap top of this "quality" just work how it is supposed to? After searching online this seems to be a common problem. I am very disappointed with this product and Lenovo's lack of customer service to get this issue fixed. Think before you buy......

We are sorry to hear about the issue you are having with waking your Lenovo Yoga 900-13 screen from sleep. You are correct that the screen should wake up when you tap any key or touch the touchpad. There may be power management driver updates for your specific system. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. Originally went with a Spectre which was recommended to me. The thing wouldn't eve power on. Bad sign. Exchanged it for the Yoga, this thing boots up lightning fast and has a great resolution. You get more for your money with this model.

I feel like this computer sadly was a waste of my money. It hasn't worked proper since i bought it. The speaker comes in and out, I can't turn it on without resetting it. It often freezes and the battery has to run out before I can use it again. I am very disappointed. When I tried to take it in to hopefully get it replaced they said I was too late and wouldn't help me out with it. I've actually never written a review on anything before and after much frustration decided to comment on this.

Not for Linuxers, even not for Windows users

Bios is locked for the benefit of Microsoft. There is no signal about this before buying it. If you want to run Linux on it, forget it. If you want to run Windows, don't think you can re-install a fresh one, even Windows won't see the disk and your installation will be nightmare...

To improve system performance, Lenovo is leading an industry trend of adopting RAID on the SSDs in certain product configurations. Lenovo does not intentionally block customers using other operating systems on its devices and is fully committed to providing Linux certifications and installation guidance on a wide range of products - https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/pd031426. Unsupported models will rely on Linux operating system vendors releasing new kernel and drivers to support features such as RAID on SSD.

I bought this in December 2015 on a trip to the US. Everything was wonderful so far till one day I turned it on, and nothing happened since then. I only get a Lenovo sign that lasts almost 20 minutes and after that I get a blue screen stating that no bootable device has been found. I tried booting the machine through a pen drive with Hiren Boot software and I can't meke it work. Lenovo told me that they can't do anything about it since the country I am does not provide spare parts for it. I Called Lenovo in my own country and they told me that they do not fix this model, only in the US. I am now struggling to find a way of getting it fixed or getting a refund. Do not bother to buy this machine.

This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small button on the right side of the device, just above the power button. The button is so small, you will need a pen or pencil to push the button. Plug in your Yoga 900-13. Let the battery charge for a short time, then push the OneKey Recovery Button with a pen or pencil. The Yoga 900-13 should boot to a screen that will allow you to choose whether to boot normally to desktop or to restore your system to factory default. You can try booting normally to desktop and repair the operating system. If that doesn't work you can repeat the process and restore the system to factory default. If this doesn't work, your operating system has been corrupted by a virus or damage. You will need to purchase and install a full version of Windows 10. We recommend this is done by a certified technician in your country.

I purchased the laptop, and my screen cracked within weeks under normal usage. I called Lenovo customer service, the service is terrible. I was transferred between technical support and customer services back and forth for many times.

I purchased this unit in May, 2016. It was an Open Box purchase. First, don't ever buy a Best Buy Open Box product. You don't know how abused it was. This is from a Best Buy sales associate. I have had nothing but trouble with this laptop. The internal speakers never worked. Then, the LCD screen would not turn on. I would have to connect it to an external monitor to use it. Its still under the manufacturer's warranty, so I am sending it back to get fixed. But, I hate this laptop! The keyboard feel is not even right and it is very difficult to type and use the track pad. I AM SORRY I BOUGHT THIS UNIT.

Gave it one star, because I couldn't give it zero! I bought this for my daughter for college, returned after 1 day, the screen would blink on and off in tablet mode. Exchanged it for another new one, and will be returning this one tomorrow. The screen has gone black, and will not come back on. I've researched this online, there apparently is a know hardware issue. For a laptop of this price, this is completely unacceptable! Will not buy another Lenovo product again. Back to HP

It was supposed to be a black friday deal. But deal was not available at midnight. Kept on sitting online to order but the deal was not visible. Hence ordered this one as it was advertised as an open box item. But it came with NO CHARGING CABLE. HOW can someone use a laptop without a charging cable and the missing item was not listed on the offer. Returned and Got my refund. Thanks for that.
