The only thing i found to bug me is with some programs, for example programs that run on java, have extremely small windows because they are compatible with computers that have a lower screen resolution.

If you are going to be using one of these programs for a long period of time, you may want to adjust the system screen resolution, by right clicking on the desktop and selecting display settings.

Great flexible laptop

I also like that it is fast in processing and does not hang on me. Fast booting and shutting down. Battery is very efficient and lasts for long hours without charging.

Fast and sharp, but some really anoying flaws

It has some negatives though that means I would probably not buy it again - backlit keyboard needs to be turned back on every time you want to use it, unlike my former Dell that turned it on when it was dark automatically. Tablet mode runs pretty hot. The one that drives me the most cray though is when connecting it to an external display that is of a lower resolution - the UHD screen gets wonky when connected to a regular Full HD screen requiring edits to the registry to fix.

The Intel Core i-7 processor within this system is a high performance processor and it will get warm, but the temperature should not change greatly from laptop to tablet mode. Running significantly hotter in tablet mode might indicate a power management driver update is needed. Follow the link below to look for new BIOS and power management driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. Here is the link:

As for the screen resolution issue when stepping down to a lower resolution external monitor, no need to go in to the registry file to reduce native screen resolution on the Yoga 900-13, just right click on your desktop prior to hooking up the external monitor and adjust the screen resolution down in "display settings", the hook up the external monitor and you should be OK.

CHEAP FRAGILE LAPTOP!!!

You can google "Lenovo Yoga cracked screen", this is also a problem in other Lenovo Yoga series. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO STAY AWAY FROM ALL LENOVO YOGA SERIES!!

Excellent and Recommended for College Students

Very fast processor, downloads things with ease, and no issues with anything really. I found this to be a great buy compared to the typical Macbook that most college kids get, with even more.

Great computer

I wanted something small and sleek, but powerful enough to handle real programs. I could care less about the yoga feature, but it's easy enough to ignore. The screen resolution is great and boot up time is right around 3 seconds which is awesome. I've been very happy with the purchase.

Hardware Issues That Are Not Easily Replaced

Pros: People often notice the unique hinge. The processor and video card can handle programs like Solidworks well if I also don't have the internet running at the same time. Cons: There are significant hardware issues that started happening after about four months of use. The screen goes black or flickers every time I move the screen, and sometimes it will stay black if my laptop is on my lap. This is not only annoying, but it also interferes with my ability to work. It also looks unprofessional when I try to show a teammate what it on my screen and it goes black when they pick up my laptop. The touch screen is occasionally not responsive, and the touch-pad also occasionally is not responsive. This sometimes leaves me with no way to interact with my laptop! This problem is not unique to me. I have meet only 2 other people who have Lenovo Yoga 900's, and they complain of the same issues. One person said GeekSquad was able to help them. But after bringing it into GeekSquad today, the representative said my problems were caused by a hardware problem that would take around a month to replace. Because I use this laptop for school and work, I cannot afford to be without it for a month. After spending the money for a nice laptop, I am upset at this workmanship and this lack of response. I am now in a tough situation of having a laptop that barely works sometimes but one that I cannot be without for more than a few days.

Yogas are a great solution for work and home

The hinge is solid so you do not have any wobbling like the first generation. They are great for our sales people to show product videos and with the SSD they are on immediately.
