After some research and review study, this device seemed solid enough for office use, yet it is pricey considering I wanted the 512 SSD and 16GB configuration. I purchased the Yoga 900 as a Christmas gift for my wife to replace a reliable, well used, but heavy, HP 5 year old laptop. She is very dependent on her laptop for work, shopping, news and keeping in touch with family. She has had nothing but praise for her new Yoga 900 since day one. (It was amazing how quickly she had the old laptop data wiped and retired.) This new Yoga is getting and workout at home and at the office. No glitches, not calls to customer service and nothing but praise.

I have been using it for last 2 months. No complaints. Wifi connectivity is good. Performance is fine. Even you can happily play mid range games without hassles. No noise since it has a SSD. Battery backup is moderate. Bit expensive but nice deal when compared to other models. Design is unique. Can be used as tablet but I liked it to be laptop. Touch screen responsiveness is good.

I purchased the Lenovo Yoga 900 for home and occasional business use. After comparing it to the Survace 4, I bought the Yoga for its speed, SSD capacity and lower price and longer battery life. My Laptop is the I7 - 16mb Ram - 512 gb SSD. It's plenty fast and convenient. The battery life is much better than the Surface. The keyboard feels much better to me. The only attraction to the Surface was the detachable keyboard. I find the folded Yoga to be somewhat heavy for tablet use. Not a big issue but noticeable. I am very happy with the Yoga 900

I haven't bought a laptop in about 10 years, so I did my research. I know I wanted a computer with specs that would last me for several years but not necessarily a gaming laptop (I have an Xbox One for that). I also knew I wanted the versatility of a 2-1. After doing a bunch of research, it basically came down to this vs the Surface Pro 4. The Surface Pro 4 probably is a better machine overall, but also costs around $300 more for the same specs. I am 100% happy with this computer and would recommend it to anyone that isn't really looking for a gaming computer but wants plenty of speed, power, and versatility. The only reason I did not give a 5 was because of the annoying bloatware. I just don't get it.

I was cross shopping the yoga against the hp spectre and surface book. The yoga is the best price for the specs and for me personally had the best keyboard. Its an amazingly light laptop and is great for conferences. Battery life is 14 hours if just taking notes in word and wifi/bluetooth are off. Under heavy use (coding and running VMs), I am getting about 6 hrs. Only 2 gripes about the laptop is that when its fan comes on, it is on the loud side. The I7 heats up quickly, so if you are doing anything other than text editing, the fan will be on, and if you are in a quiet place like a library, it will be very noticeable. Second gripe is that the laptop is awkward to open. The screen is perfectly flush with the body when closed and there is no place that you can insert your fingers to open it. Just make sure to play with it at the store before buying and open close it a couple of times.

good speed, lightweight, which is what I was looking for. Keyboard takes some getting used to compared to my previous HP Envy but guess that will happen eventually. Like the smaller size especially for travel and portability. Runs most everything I have used. I like the option of having a tablet or a laptop.

This computer is very light. Fast and seems to be well built. An excellent tote around computer. Seems like this would be great for students. Windows 10 is the only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating. It goes sideways on me after it updates.

I was originally going to give this to my daughter in college and take her one we bought in the summer (also a Yoga, but less disk space and speed), but she liked hers, so it's all mine. Has everything I need. Works great as a laptop, swing it around and it's a tablet and the keyboard is not a problem when switching it. As a tent, I can see video's. It's very light and comfortable. VERY FAST!

I can not say enough about my Yoga 900. It has amazingly great features like fantastic screen resolution, fast 512 ssd and i7 processor along with 8 gigibites of memory. The full size keyboard is very comfotable and it has a large screen for a machine that weighs under three pound. I was thinking about getting a laptop.and a tablet when our IT advisor said, just get the yoga 900 and you'll only have to have one machine. He was totally right. It even folds to a tent to comfortably watch tv shoes or movies or utube and then folds fully to us use as a tablet. The swival mechanism is extremely sturdy and the touch screen responsive. Best of all, it was less money than apple the mac air or the new microsoft book. I highly recommend thevYoga 900.

I love love love it. I've had my yoga about 3 weeks now and am very satisfied. It's super light and quick. Running Windows 10 on it is great functionality. I updated the drivers right from the Lenovo website for a few of their new updates. That seemed to fix any quirks like the track pad being a little jumpy. (I also adjusted the sensitivity settings) I'd highly recommend this one!!

getting used to Win10. Using a docking station in home office with multiple screens connected. Use as stand-alone laptop on the road. As far as I can tell all problems are related to Kaspersky Anti-virus (shutting off internet and switching laptop to tablet mode without any user interface). No noticed hardware issues. The driving factor in our purchase was the weight. The specs we selected gave us a loaded laptop with minimal weight

Very fast, lightweight, and thin. My only complaint so far is that the sound and microphone somehow stopped working. Lenovo's customer support had to walk me thru a hard bios restart after multiple failed attempts of setting changes. They didn't know what caused it stop working and couldn't promise me that it wouldn't happen again. Lenovo told us to exchange it out and we haven't had any problems with the new one.

I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and I am very satisfied with this laptop. I have not had any of the problems listed in other reviews. -Beautiful looks and build construction is very solid. The hinge wobble that was present on the previous model is almost nonexistent. It is extremely light, thin, and easy to transfer. The 2 in 1 feature is nice when you want to switch to tablet mode or back to laptop. -Screen is very high quality and has excellent color and depth. -I love the usb-c being able to plug in either way as I hook this to my entertainment system in the basement with low lighting without a problem. I bought the usb-c to hdmi converter and it worked like a charm the instant I plugged it in. The resolution to my projector (1080p) was known right away (unlike another review that said you may have problems with a 2nd monitor). -Windows 10 with the touchscreen working properly is a treat. Apps run smooth and fast and switching back and forth is a breeze. - The only small drawback that I have encountered is battery life. I get about 6 hours of use and the standby time with the screen off overnight isn't great. Not a big deal because I can have it charging most of the time if needed. -This laptop is very fast and responsive and so far I have none of the problems I was plagued with on another brand that I had briefly.

I researched extensively before purchasing Yoga 900. Things important to me are the 2 in 1 versatility, keyboard travel time for comfortable and fast typing, high ram and memory, 6th gen i7 processor, screen size, low weight as I'm constantly on the go. I narrowed down to Yoga 900 out of all the 2 in 1 laptops, apart from the required specs, it is the most comfortable visual for me (between a 4k and a 1080), and hinge design seems more durable than others. I took it home and started using. Here is when this machine's flaws started to appear. - Even though it's a 13" screen, the thick border made it appear significantly smaller in isolation. The small screen practically defeats the purpose of using it as a tablet. - keyboard is basically flat, not a comfortable travel time for fast-typers. The space key has basically no travel time; feels even lower than other keys while I was typing long documents. I had to often go back and correct the space key typo (multiple spaces entered rather than 1). This is a very time consuming problem for me. - touchpad on the keyboard is especially sensitive. Often move cursors to other places while I was typing. - touch screen gets confused with the keyboard touchpad. If you work fast and expect your machine to work fast, this problem will bother you. When I did a quick switch from touchpad to the touchscreen for something as simple as scrolling up and down, touchscreen did not react for a few seconds. This is based on personal experience and really hope it gives users a perspective, but if you like it, take it home and give it a try. I finally went with the Microsoft Surface Book. Absolutely amazing machine. Screen feels bigger than a typical 13" because of the small border, keyboard travel time is fantastic, very fast and agile in handling different tasks, detachable screen design is more than comfortable and has a separate battery allowing longer time using it in tablet mode. Design is very close to a laptop but still preserving the agility of a tablet. Considering all the specs, truly the best 2 in 1 out there. Buy it with the BestBuy credit card, 18-month interest free and the price won't seem so burdensome.

As a marketer in the CPG Industry, the 1st thing I noticed the packaging. The LENOVO team has come about as close as any CPU company in attaining the "Wow Factor" that Apple has with products. I use my Yoga for business. I don't edit video, do any graphics and no gaming. Just a how him business man whose closest "Techie Task" is a visit to salesforce.com. The Yoga does a good job for what I need it for on a day to day basis. I love the weight, the keyboard and aside from the wifi switch it has the right mix of ports. I don't use the touch screen much but when I do it is responsive and accurate. The negatives could be described as potentially be "user error" some are the Yoga and some are the fault of LENOVO, in no particular order here they are..... 1). The fan is LOUD and engaged 90+% of the time. So loud that if I'm on a call I need to step away and can't even think of using Skype from it. 2). The wireless off/ on switch or command is a mystery to find. I've had this Yoga 6 mos. & in order to engage and disengage Wifi it requires pulling up the system control.......& they have two wifi systems pre-installed. 3). So much useless junk comes pre-installed. Set up is relatively simple but cleaning this all out is a pain. 4). Tech support. All I will say is that Lenovo has little to be proud of in this area. I never understand why companies don't have the highest focus on this area. You have a frustrated customer who has taken the time to call you in order to resolve, instead of treating them as highest of priority you place them in long holds, have temporary employees deal with them who don't know your products or care about your reputation and if the customer endures that the reward is not having your issue resolved or being told they can't help. 5) about every 5 minutes the Yoga goes through what I call "taking a breather." What I mean is that every 5 or so minutes something occurs where the mouse tracker or keyboard or both needs to catch its breath. The system will pause/ freeze for 5 seconds and the fan increases its whine, the drivers start to make "clicking sounds" as if the laptop is trying to catch up to the work. I've checked for virus and am told by my Geek that this is a problem seen with all Yogas. It's not crippling but it is annoying and time wasting. All in all it is as good as the average PC and has a ton of potential but not yet able to compete with Apple on performance. I would recommend it over another PC based on the price but I would still pay more for the MacBook and I'm interested to see if one of the new PC models overtakes it for price and value.

You might want to check your energy manager settings in your control panel. See if an adjustment there will reduce the time your fan runs. Before you make any changes to your system, be sure to create a restore point for your system. Also you can check for driver update for your system by following the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers. Once again, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you download any new software to your system, hope this helps improve your experience:

I juggled between a few computer options including the HP Spectre (very closely compared to this machine) and the Lenovo Miix 700 (closely compared to Microsoft Surface Pro). The Miix was pretty poor and I ended up getting money back from Lenovo after six months of disappointment. The Spectre was great but there are a few issues with that in the way of: keyboard being metal and, therefore, freezing when the room is cold and very hot when in the sun; the screen is extremely reflective which became a distraction; and, minor flaws in comfort and movement (such as the hinge). Which brings us to the Lenovo Yoga 900. The keyboard is very responsive and comfortable. The mouse pad is by far the best of the set with comfort and responsiveness as well. The screen is sharp but not overly reflective. The power of the Intel CORE i7 is fast and of the best on the market. The battery life is very strong and sits anywhere between 6-8hrs daily. I strongly recommend this product if you're looking for a computer that is extremely portable, powerful, and versatile. It is a 2-in-1 system, which is probably nice for some people, however I've only used it as a tablet once or twice. While that's not terribly important to me, I do see some benefit in it when you want to watch a movie on a plane (flip it backwards and use the keyboard as a back leverage in less space), or as a digital reference for a meeting which is much less distracting than a laptop (I will pull up an Excel sheet, for instance, for a meeting and then flip it into a tablet that sits flat on the conference table for easy reference but low distraction to myself or others).

I needed a fast comp for my small business not worried about hard drive space since cloud storage is so readily available and at decent prices, I though with this amount of RAM and processor I should be fine and for the most part I am but there is a huge glitch with the internet connection via WiFi, I am literally inches away from my router and I cannot connect and stay connected. Another laptop at the same distance and even further connects just fine with no issues. The best part is now when my WiFi is turned on the other computer also does not recognize the router but when I turn my computer off the WiFi works fine on the other computer. What is up with that??? We have had to connect to the router via Ethernet for a strong permanent connection but remember this computer does not have an Ethernet port so you have to use an adapter to convert to USB, but you only have 3 USB ports. Other than that the computer does well with what I need. I have a bit before I can return it and I just may due to the WiFi issue, everything is done online and if I cant connect and stay connected what good is this computer.

This is by far the best laptop I have ever purchased going back many years. It is a solid machine. The hinge system is incredibly tight and makes it easy to use as a 2-in-1 lablet (tabtop?). The keyboard requires very little getting used to... The size, weight are really great. The battery life seems to work with a cross country (US) trip or a trip to Europe from the East Coast. Overall, best money I've spent -- for a 512G SSD + 16MB RAM laptop.

I like the appearance and performance of the Lenovo. The solid state drive is extremely fast and the resolution is incredible. The only trouble I've had with it is that it seems necessary to operate the screen at a much lower resolution since many programs out there end up sending extremely small letters to the screen which are unreadable. So I'm operating at a much lower resolution. But hopefully the software out there will catch up and I can operate at full resolution.
