Great looking and fast. Has i7 and 256 ssd drive. Wife loves it. Was a no brainer at 699! This replaces a 5 year old Asus K53E. Huge difference in speed.

Pros: Thin and light weight, specs good enough for everyday task, nice egineering and build quality overall, runs pretty fast and smoothly, fine display. Cons: Fan noise becomes an issue whenever you do some serious task, which leadsto another problem of battery life. With some light emailing and text editting, the battery can last the stated 9 hours without any problems. However, anytime you try to launch some larger app, such as a stock-trading platform, fan noise starts to bother you and battery life is significantly shortened. This has been the major problem I have with the laptop. Another relatively minor issue is that it doesn't have a HDMI port, you have to buy a USB Type C to HDMI adapter which cost me about $15. Lastly, a problem with the display is that the maximum brightness is not very bright. Overall: The cons of the laptop haven't led me to any serious issues and I'm enjoying its pros very much. I probably wouldn't have paid $1000 for it but to me it worths $699 for sure.

Pros: 1) Thanksgiving price 2) Fast processor and ultra fast responsive UI 3) The 360 degree hinge - Love the different modes 4) Lightweight, backlit keyboard, SSD 5) Instant bootup - No waiting time during restart 6) Handles medium to heavy graphic games like a breeze 7) Wireless display to smart tv - dint expect it out of the box from MS 8) Bright screen and decent battery life Cons: 1) Regular price - but after using it for a month, I realized that you must obviously pay more to get a premium product. I have spent years looking for a laptop-tablet hybrid I could justify buying at a premium. I am not an artist or graphics person, but use multiple textbooks and materials teaching college classes, and wanted all my things to work on one device. Pros and cons: Pros: lightweight, fast, software installs easily, great laptop and tablet. I did not buy the pen/stylus, and have to figure a few things out about writing by hand, but it seems capable. Battery life 10+ hours when word processing or reading. Cons: peripherals. Tried to install 2nd monitor; no hdmi or video port, and adapter crashed my system. No line in for standard modem cable; adapter takes away a usb, as does monitor or hard drive. SD memory is helpful, but basics eat up ports fast. I paid 699 on black friday, so 5 stars based on that. If I paid 1299 I would say 3.5.

This review is for the Signature Series with a "1" in the model no. I believe it's D10US. It's important to distinguish this from the other Yoga 900's as this model has higher performance RAM-memory 1866 Mhz vs 1600 Mhz, PCIE (not SATA) Samsung SSD, and Intel Iris graphics. I bought several of these during the Pre-Black Friday sale. Reluctant to purchase them since there were only a handful of reviews I took the chance after I went into Windows 10 Device Manager and looked at the hardware ID's and looked up the specs while in the store. What a deal!! I waited to write a review until I had some experience with putting it through some thorough testing and benchmarking. Unlike some other earlier reviews I have not had any issues cited in other reviews. Recommendations to avoid any potential issues previously cited. 1. Perform all Windows 10 updates before doing anything else. 2. Disable all Windows 10 Privacy settings and Apps running in the background. (Windows calls home more than you can imagine and lets others call your PC if you don't disable the Privacy Settings) 3. Download the Intel CPU Diagnostic tool and perform all driver updates. I prefer to go to the part manufacturer's website to update drivers and or firmware. Intel is highly recommended vs. Lenovo for CPU and Graphic updates. 4. Change your "Power" settings in your Control Panel or Lenovo app to meet your needs when you are on battery power or direct AC power. I changed he settings to "High Performance" on all settings when on AC and balanced performance when running on battery. THIS MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE ON performance, heat, fan noise, etc. Though I never had any obtrusive fan noise even when using Intel CPU Diagnostic Stress test or streaming Hi-Def video with 20 web tabs open. I downloaded Hardware Monitor a very useful program to monitor temps, cpu and gpu utilization, and many other useful system monitoring data when testing and or diagnosing performance problems that may be caused by hardware issues. The Intel I-7 CPU and GPU were stressed in testing and passed with flying colors while the system remained at very acceptable temperatures. Koodos to Lenovo for design and engineering. 5. Browser- Set your default browser to Chrome. Chrome offers better performance than Microsoft Edge, Firefox, etc. 6. 4K DISPLAY IT'S AWESOME BUT - takes a lot of juice in the form of power and hardware-graphics processor, power integrated with the CPU. Recommend using the Intel Display app to change to a lower resolution when on battery power. The 4K video is awesome when watching 4K content or doing high resolution video or graphics work. On a 13.3" screen 720P is still going to look awesome while keeping your system cool and really extending your battery life. The audio sounds impressive for an Ultrabook however make sure to use and adjust the "Dolby" audio settings to your listening preference. Though I give this 5 stars there are some things Lenovo could do to make it a better product. Improve and or change the following; Backlit keyboard is nice but the right side layout needs improvement, touchpad feels great but it took a lot of adjustment to decrease the sensitivity, USB_C is nice forward looking tech but I would have preferred an HDMI or mini-displayport out, and Lenovo PLEASE improve your canned responses with more helpful, resourceful, and links to useful tools.

I have been hanging on to my old MacBook Pros (a beautiful 17" 2010 model) but knew that it was time to get something newer. After 30 years of using Macs, I decided it was time to try a Windows machine. I first bought a 15" HP laptop which was a disaster (constant BSOD, trackpad problems, and much more). I returned it and figured I would just buy a new MacBook eventually. Then, during the Black Friday event, I saw this go on sale for an excellent price ($699) and took the plunge. I have had it now for a few weeks and I am really surprised at how much I like it. It is so light and versatile, and it is great to be able to use it as a tablet or regular laptop. I like using a keyboard so was not keen on buying a tablet. It seems very speedy for my needs (web browsing, TV streaming) and love the quick startup. I am also really pleased that I am able to cast the screen to my Samsung TV to watch live streaming or video downloads (just as well because I was never able to get the HDMI cable between the Yoga and my TV to work). I haven't had to have any dealings with Lenovo so can't comment on how that would be. Probably no better or worse than any of the other PC manufacturers. Overall, I am really happy I bought this as my first Windows based machine. I still prefer Mac OS by far but will not pay the exorbitant cost of a MacBook Pro.

I love my new Yoga! It is lightweight, compact, fast, flexible and just overall easy to use. I switched back to a PC from a Mac after 6 years and I am very happy. I love the dual feature of a traditional laptop and then easily switching to a tablet. I love needing only one device to do everything. I highly recommend it!

Small and light, packed with punches! This Yoga 900 laptop is very fast and smooth with I7 processor, 8gb memory and fast Solid State Drive. Not recommended for intensive office use, but great for personal, entertainment. Your kids going to love the touch screen performance from this.

This is my 4th Lenovo and by far the best. It's fast, it's light, just the right size and has a great screen. I would have given it 5 stars if it were not for the HDMI port being replace with an all but useless USB-C port. Yes, I know USB-C has video but it also means I need to spend an extra $50 for an adapter to get that video to my TV.

I love this laptop. It is speedy, lightweight, and connects easily to WiFi (my last computer kept dropping the signal). It was such a good price and had such good reviews that my husband and I each bought one. I would change only two things about it: 1) while the key board lights up when you turn the computer on, I wish it would light up when being used in the dark and 2) I wish it had an HDMI port but I think I can get an adapter for this.

This this is an amazing Ultrabook. It has an extremely long battery life–up to 8 hours in real life. 4k screen is extremely clear. I love Macs but this is way better given the touch screen. Window 10 for productivity is very powerful. It is also convertible so you can watch movies in tent mode. Viewing documents on the touch screen so you can zoom with gestures is the best feature. No need for stylus. Very light and portable all purpose Ultrabook. I would highly recommend.

I did read reviews on similar Yoga 900's. At the time of purchase this specific model number only had 4 reviews. This specific model has a better CPU, GPU, RAM, and SSD than most of its siblings. I was very pleased at first with the performance, battery life, low heat, and it was virtually silent. I purchased two units and set up one previously reviewed for my son who advised me that it is now making a lot of fan noise. I had previously rated this unit 5 stars and commented on how I didn't experience any excessive fan noise and offered suggestions on setup configurations to possibly eliminate fan noise as commented in other reviews. It appears I may have rated the Yoga prematurely and over rated it as my son's is now making the same fan noise. I still believe it is a good buy for the pre-black Friday Sales price if you can put up with fan noise. The other option is to adjust the power settings to reduce heat and consequently fan noise. But you shouldn't have to sacrifice performance for an apparent common fan problem. I would still recommend this model number for the price I paid but I wouldn't recommend it at full price or even a 15 -20% discount.

This is a powerful lightweight computer with the latest technology, powerful processor, touch screen, gorilla glass, extra strong hinges for one low price. I love that I can turn this into a tablet when I get home from work! Also, you can't go wrong for less than $700! This computer was also in the top 10 for best laptops buys for 2016! I have to use it daily for 7 over hours and still have no complaints! Would buy again!

We purchased this laptop for our daughter, who is in college. It combines a laptop with a tablet. It's sleek, light weight, and fast. She was very excited when we informed her be purchased it for her. On line reviews showed it to be a good computer and we caught it during early Black Friday deals.

Definitely took a chance on this and so far I am not disappointed. I was disappointed in Apple's line of laptops and decided to take a chance. I love how lightweight and portable this 2 and 1 Lenovo laptop is! The display and the clarity of the screen is amazing. Everything so far is fast which is great. My focus for this laptop is to use it for lightroom for photo editing as I want to edit photos elsewhere and not just on my desktop.

I have had it for 4 weeks and it works well. Its fast, light and has almost all the bells and whistles. The only thing its missing is an HDMI plug. I had to buy an adapter for the USB 3 port. I also got a great price at Best Buy

So far, this is the most amazing laptop I've owned. It is lightweight, powerful, fast and I love the track pad. It's like velvet. I read reviews elsewhere before I purchased and there really are no negatives. So glad I made this choice.

My laptop crashed randomly one day so I broke down and bought this one. I'd been doing extensive research on laptops prior to this happening. This one exceeded my needs and price range, but I got lucky and found an open box item. It was 50% off the original price!! I was not too focused on getting a touch screen or 2-in-1 laptop because I wasn't sure how those features would affect laptop speed. So far, I have been enjoying them most. It makes reading and watching movies easier and the computer is just as fast. It is much quieter than my last laptop since it is solid state. I got everything I wanted and more! I recommend this laptop for tech savvy people, college students who need a lightweight laptop and people who are looking for multipurpose laptop.

Was going to spend full price on a MacBook and was talked into the Yoga for what you get on BF sale for $500. Light, fast, and fun to use. The SSD with i7 combo and flexible features beats apple $1300 price tag any day.

I am really happy with this laptop both in terms of performance as well as features. It is sleek and light weight and the touch screen works great to complement the laptop use. I would strongly recommend this item.
