Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the Yoga 910's lightweight design, impressive screen size, and strong performance. Many appreciate its long battery life and ease of use. However, some users have noted issues with fan noise and heat generation, while others find the placement of the shift key less than ideal. The fast SSD is also a frequently cited positive.

I went to upgrade my Surface Book to the i7 processor because I am having to run the entire Adobe Creative Cloud for school now and because I am always working I needed something portable. This was half the price so I decided to go with it. I would have given it a 5 star rating aside from a couple issues. The fan can be loud, and even though the sales guy at Best Buy said it would support a stylus, it does not. It doesn't have a digitizer. Its okay, just depends on what your looking for. Going to give this to my son and get the Surface Book

I've had several laptops over the years and this is by far one of the best ones. The processing in the laptop is extremely fast. The many different viewing options with tent, tablet, traditional, etc is wonderful.

I am using the Yoga 910 for over 2 weeks now and couldn't be happier. The screen (13.9 vs. 13.3) is expansive and combined with the 4K resolution makes me feel like I am working on a full desktop. The laptop looks great which is really important to me as I give a lot of over the shoulder presentations to CxO types. As for the common complaints about the shift key and the noise: 1. Shift key - Was nothing less than terrible in the first week. the uparrow key got pressed all the time especially as uparrow is common graphics on shift keys. But, after the week my brain got re-wired and this is not an issue anymore. 2. Noise - All of you complaining need to know that windows, DropoBox and others are indexing your computer when you first put all your files and start using it, after few days everything is indexed and these programs only track changes. Yes, the fan was on in the first couple of days, But, I changed the power setting to never go to sleep, and let it work over a couple of nights indexing everything and now the fan is not turning on more than my previous laptop = not an issue. I also created another power plan where the CPU max is set to 60% and I am using it if I want to assure absolutely no fan turning on. 60% is plenty fast for any kind of usage other than gaming. Lastly, the huge 78 Whr battery is 2nd to none, and the laptop is still only 3.09lbs. Ignore Lenovo's web site that is mistakenly stating 48Whr! Buy this laptop, you will not be sorry!

    Open Box Lenovo

I recently purchased an open box Lenovo Yoga 910 with 16 gigs of memory, a 512 gig ssd hard drive, and a beautiful 4k display. Sounds great on paper, but that's where it stops. I had Microsoft Office installed and an anti virus program. This was all recommended by the sales associate, who I'm sure had his best intentions of selling a great device. I also purchase the year of Geek squad help, which was the best investment I made. Well at home the computer did not connect to either of my HP printers. I call the phone a Geek for help. After an hour of on line support they recommended I take the device to the in store Geek squad. So back and forth from home to Best Buy, three separate times. Their recommendation was for me to return the device and find another machine. They initially blamed windows 10, but upon further investigation, it was the Lenovo. Sorry for the review, but this machine happened to be defective. It looked really nice. So don't judge a book by its cover.

Great design and overall good laptop but not great at being a a two in one. When converted into a tablet it feels bulky big and for some reason the keyboard stays active. Looked online for ways to disable it only in tablet mode but no luck. Deal breaker for the me cause when in tablet mode I either have it on my lap or my hands wrap around to the keyboard and cause me to press the keyboard. Which usually initiate commands etc

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 910-14. With regard to the keyboard staying active when in tablet mode, this is not normal. There may be driver updates for your specific system. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. If the driver updates don't correct the issue, you can call Lenovo Tech Support at 877-453-6686. Here is the link:

With an i7 chip and 16GB ram, the laptop has a whole lot of power for a business user. A 512 GB hard drive is good also. For my own usage, I tried to minimize storing any documents or artifacts on the hard drive. I tried using my Office 365 One Drive instead. Performance wise, the laptop is good. The 4K resolution screen is awesome. However, if you spend too much time looking a the screen, you eyes will be pretty tired. I dont use the tablet or touch screen much. Maybe, I am still not used to the touch screen yet.

    Great Screen Disappointing everything else

I was looking for a laptop for business with a better than HD screen, but was also 14" or smaller. I loved the hp spectre 360 but i could only find 1080 p models, and i liked the dell xps 13 2 in 1 but only came with 1080p and the low powered CORE Y processors. So I tested out the lenovo 910 in the store. It has a fantastic screen, is light enough and thin enough for me, but it makes way too many compromises and there is one design flaw that was the deal breaker for me. For some awful reason the right shift key is half size and moved over PAST the up arrow key. I'm a fast typer, 110 words per minute, but with this keyboard i kept messing up CONSTANTLY, wpm dropped to 50 becau se i had to keep finding the shift key and taking my eyes off the screen, i thought it'd get used to it but i didn't, especially because my personal laptop (the surface book performance base, which i highly recommend) has a NORMAL shift key and keyboard lay out, and my desktop at my physical work office has a normal keyboard as well, i assume if i the 910 was the only computer i ever used then i would probably get used to it, but it's not so i didn't get used to it. I even reprogrammed in the registry files to program the up arrow key as the shift key since that's where the shift key is supposed to be, but it never felt comfortable, and then i lost functionality of the up arrow key (which frankly, I don't think I even use that much but it was another gripe) There were many other downsides to this laptop though, the front facing camera is underneath the screen, since i was using this for work, video conferencing is a must, coworkers definitely made fun of me the few times we conferenced (I learned to just turn off the cam and share my screen instead.) Another gripe I had is the touch pad was just awful, the three finger swipe up in windows 10 is one of my favorite features, so much easier than alt+tab, but it stuttered most of the time and i'd say 40% of the time didn't register that i even did the three finger swipe. two days into owning this laptop windows made me install updates for about 8 hours straight. the touch pad did imnprove after the updates, but still not nearly as good as the touch pad on my personal laptop, the surface book. Even the dell xps 13 touchpad is better (a family member has one so i've had a chance to spend some time with it) The laptop also gets hot, and the fans are constantly running even when lightly browsing. The battery life was not the worst but i got about 5 hours on average which pales in comparison to the 10 I get on the surface book. My final gripe is that there is no SD card slot so getting pictures from my DSLR to the laptop was a pain in the neck, had to buy a weird dongle. Any-who, i just returned this laptop. I am not sure which one I will get to replace it. Maybe I will just wait a little bit, or get another surface book.

Let's be honest if you are looking for the laptop tablet hybrid and you're looking at the yoga you're in the wrong place. Between Lenovo's warranty support issues and the actual usability of this device you are much better off getting what you actually want. Even if you don't know it, you want the Surface, not this. If you insist on getting this, buy the extended warranty. Not kidding.

This is a great laptop. I purchase the Dell XPS 13 and HP Spectre and returned both. The screens were just too small for me. The 14" 4K screen is fantastic. The machine is lightweight and sleek and I really like the fingerprint startup and some other design features. The right shift key is an important issue as mentioned in other reviews- thus the four stars. I just used one of the online programs to convert the page up key to shift and it works well enough for me.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 910-14. You should be getting 8 to 10 hours of battery life, if it is less than this, check to see if there are unwanted programs running in the background. With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP. lenovo
