Returners Remorse

I purchased the Yoga 910 two weeks ago. After my frustrations with the shift key, I returned it and purchased the HP Spectre 360. I had the Spectre for three days. And in those three days, I realized how awesome the 910 is. It functions so fluidic, the trackpad is smooth, the battery life is fantastic, its quiet, its not preloaded with 50gigs of useless software like the Spectre was, and the 910 looks just as good as it operates. One of the features that I came it appreciate on the 910, is the fingerprint scanner. Its much more responsive than an iris scanner. Today I packaged up the Spectre, and exchanged it back to the Yoga. Its pros outweigh its cons by a longshot.

Didn't own up to the reviews in my opinion

Like others have said, bad place to put the right shift key. It would be nice if the memory and ssd were upgradable.
It's an attractive laptop. Everyone likes the watch hinge.
Probably my biggest complaint is the lack of thunderbolt. It is also lacking in expansion ports. As a result, I did not use this laptop much at all.
I eventually upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy Pro 360 15.6. Night and day difference in functionality and performance.

So I read and read reviews all over the internet before purchasing my laptop. I considered the Yoga 710, but read that the fan made a horrendous noise. I kept looking and decided on this one. I was a little nervous having read that this laptop makes some fan noise as well as the keyboard being difficult to use. Having used this laptop to install multiple programs I have found NO issue with the fan noise or keyboard. In fact, I truly enjoy using this keyboard and haven't even noticed the fan noise. I am so happy I went against some of the reviews and got this. I could not be happier about my new lightweight, beautiful, and quiet Yoga 910.
I would recommend this to anyone. AWESOME! Thanks Lenovo for making a laptop that matches my needs as an engineering college student that has to carry this bad boy everywhere I go.

It's fast and sleek looking. It works great. The only thing I didn't like was there was only 1 USB port and no card reader.

I bought lenovo yoga901 laptop to replace my old lenovo laptop which has been used for 9 years, so I trust lenovo products' quality. This new laptop is beautiful in outlook, feel solid in design, the process of activation the new machine and installing of pieces of sofeware will producing a little loud fan noise, but in most of my normal works, like writing, listening to music, working with Adobe illustrater, it is so quiet! I really like the screen, and the fingerprint access!

Feature Rich, Modern Design

Beautiful laptop with every feature that I wanted--specifically the thin screen bezel, modern Apple-inspired footprint in general, fast processor, and Windows Hello fingerprint scanner--which is why I stuck with this model. However, there are quality control issues as several laptops had loud fan noise, or surface imperfections on the exterior casing. After several exchanges, I finally have a perfect masterpiece. As always, Best Buy customer service was professional and first class.

Lenovo with a Missing Mouse

I love the size of this computer and yes the Shift key is still a bit irritating. But the mouse goes MIA. I have had Best Buy Geek Squad look at it 4 times and then I called Lenovo. All did a remote check and Lenovo made it better. Now maybe just once a week that it is missing not every day like before. Overall nice laptop.

First of all I'm an international BestBuy customer who bought this online and got it store picked by my bro visiting US past week. I read every comment before I ordered and specifically asked several questions that was promptly answered by Lenovo expert and some other helpful users. All and all, this was such a good shopping experience, thank you BestBuy.
I've been using this device for a week now and I must say it is one of the best out there. The screen is lovely with no bezels, making me watch full HD movies all the time. All metal chassis feels awesome and battery lasts sooo long. Trackpad is precise and relatively big. The only drawback, as most of you mentioned, is the placement of the right shift key. Most of the time I press page-up key instead of shift which makes impossible to write accurately. Also space key is not responsive enough, therefore you need to press in the middle and rather hard to get it work.
I believe in time I'll get used to using shift and space keys. Apart from this, I strongly advice Yoga 910 to any type of user who do not require discrete graphic card. Nearly half the price of a Mac book but delivers almost the same user experience.

I remember reading reviews and perhaps I focused too much on the positives of the computer and did not think that the one negative thing being mentioned (loud fan noise) would be that big of a deal. Well, I was wrong. This is such a great laptop and I love every single feature. The right shift key does not bother me at all when typing. Could honestly be the best 2-in-1 laptop out there but the fan noise can be unbearable. Love it but almost wish I had returned it during the time allotted due to the constant whistling of the fan. Don't take it to a library.

1st: DO NOT LET THE FAN NOISE PROBLEM TURN YOU AWAY!!!
There is an amazingly easy fix for the continuing fan problem. Just visit the Lenovo site and follow the instructions (BIOS update + LAN driver update did the trick: poof NO MORE NOISE). I was going to return the machine until we found the fix on the Lenovo site. Took under 2 minutes to fix the problem. This computer is handsome, fast, responsive. Couldn't be happier. Got mine open-box and saved an extra $225 off the already reduced price. Basically paid $425 below the manufacturer's list price. People return them within days because of the non-stop fan, which allows you to get a perfect computer at an open-box price. Just follow the easy fix provided on the Lenovo forum. This laptop is awesome in ever way, although I'll have to add a hub because for some reason there is no SD card slot on it. Stupid. Other than that, you will love this machine. Perfect size for travel and portability. I always laugh when people pull out their 15.6" laptops in coffee houses and libraries. They might as well be carrying around a cinder block. Lenovo's 3lb, 14" screen is the same size as others with a 13" screen. Phenomenal build and design with the best hinge in the business (my old Sony plastic hinge broke after 3 years, making the devise unusable. That will NEVER happen with this watchband hinge). Super happy with this purchase. You will be too.

Great Ultraportable Machine

I purchased this laptop after reading many reviews online for the best 2-in-1. My main concerns when purchasing a new laptop was battery life and portability. This laptop meets both those standards and so far has exceeded my expectations. (I have only had the laptop for a few days). The fan issue that many people are complaining about is true and I found it to be worse in the beginning when installing updates and configuring the computer. After a few days of use, the laptop seems to have subsided with the fan noise except for a few short instances. Don't let this be a turn off if you are considering the laptop!
Pros:
Battery life
Incredibly Lightweight
Backlit Keyboard
Solid construction
Cons:
Fan can get a bit noisy when performing tasks.
Could be more ports (I bought a USB hub which works perfectly)
Right shift key is a little weird to use at first

I did a lot of research before purchasing the 910. I wanted a lightweight, fast, sleek, reliable computer. I bought both the MacBook Pro and the 910 and ended up returning the MacBook. I went with the 910 over the MacBook because:
1)Didn't see the MacBook extra cost being worth it
2)Love the finger print sensor on the 910
3) While I don't use the 2-1 feature much, it's nice to have
4)The extra .6" screen really does make a difference
The reasons I considered keeping the MacBook pro instead is the trackpad is better, apple products hold resale value longer, and the build quality is slightly better.
Overall for the price, I couldn't find a better looking or performing laptop that matched my needs than the Yoga 910.

After trying macbooks, dell xps 13, hp spectre x360, and more, i finally found the perfect laptop for my needs. The battery life is phenomenal. 8-10 hours, sometimes more. The build quality is excellent. Design is awesome. Screen is beautiful and performance is great. Fingerprint scanner and decent port selection too, although i would have liked the usb c to be thunderbolt 3 compatible. Oh well. That and the Webcam being on the bottom of the screen and the shrunken right shift key may be problems for some people, but they don't bother me. The pros highly outweigh the cons here. Highly recommended.

I switched to this laptop from a three year old hp envy. Needless to say I expected that laptop to last me at least 6 years. Unfortunately, to say the least the quality of HP products has decreased significantly. So when deciding to buy this laptop over the hp spectre it was a no brainier. The quality of this laptop is amazing! Great battery life , amazing screen quality and most importantly it seems very well built and reliable. I've had a lenovo desktop at my parents home for years with absolutely no issues which is what lead me to this laptop. While the shift key for a programmer like myself is a bit annoying you get used to it and seems like a very worthy trade off for everything your getting. Thanks lenovo for making a quality product. I hope to continue buying your products for all my technology needs. Also, I really love the hinge its great!

Right side "shift" key ruins the experience

It is hard for me to believe that anyone that actually knows how to type tested this keyboard. My little finger knows where the "shift" key is supposed to be and it is right where the "PgUp" button is. This has made for a very frustrating experience after 2 days working with this machine. I doubt I can undo nearly 40 years of muscle memory. If you "hunt and peck" when you type, this may still work for you, but this is a huge product design mistake, in my opinion.

Computer is VERY fast and has a great picture. Bought the computer for school and a little gaming for kids. The computer had to be sent in as it would not take a charge. Have had it for less than 2 months. For the cost I am not sure it is worth the money. Don't like the shift key, key lights will be on and off, and the battery does not seem to last more than 4 hours.

I bought this computer to replace my ancient laptop. While the Yoga 910 is nice and light, the aspect for the screen is very long and narrow making it awkward to use. The screen is also very shiny creating a lot of glare and limiting where you can comfortably use the computer.
