I've only ever owned one laptop that wasn't HP and that's just because it was a gift. That all changed when I saw this baby! It's nice and big so that you can clearly see the screen, but it's not bulky. The layout of the computer is great and I love that I can fold it back to turn it into a tablet. I have been dabbling in designing graphics, so this helps with that a lot! I would definitely recommend this computer to just about anyone! Not to mention the price! Tax and all I was able to get it for under $700 when it is surely worth a lot more!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 6 yr old SurfaceBook that bricked itself and I needed a replacement work PC (BTW, once the battery completely died in the SB, I was able to re-power it up again, but I've lost all confidence in it after both the lockup and a previous expanding battery issue). Excellent performance and value in the Yoga. Also, there is a removable panel on the bottom of the laptop's all metal case (secured by screws) which allows replacement of the internal battery. It is a DIY without much trouble. A few quirks about this one though. First, there is a bios option to leave the USB ports powered even when the laptop is off. This is enabled by default and you will notice a battery drain. Turn the option off if you don't need it. Second, there is a delivered "Lenovo Utility" app that will randomly kill your WiFi connection. Uninstall this immediately and you will have no WiFi issues. Fixes for both of these issues were found by Googling. Third, I needed to adjust mic sensitivity when using a headset (phone earbuds/mic). Fourth - there is a sliding cover for the camera that is closed by default from the factory. It is a little hard to see, so use a flashlight the first time you use it. After that you'll be able to use it by feel once you know where the shutter slide is. Actually a great built-in feature! None of these were deal breakers. Every PC is unique and takes a little time to get set for individual users preferences, and other than the WiFi issue, that is what the above were. As far as the negatives: No SD card slot. You'll need an external card reader. If you want to hook up an external monitor, there are only 4 USB ports on this laptop (2 old USB, 2 new USB C). I bought a USB C to HDMI adapter to hook up my 2nd monitor. That's it. Great laptop if you can live with the limited ports. I would definitely recommend this laptop, especially at the sale price I got!

It is high quality, has fast speeds, not a lot of bloatware, and has a beautiful screen. Just the right size, and got it for a great price. I would definitely recommend it. Only one thing I would say, it's pretty heavy, so if you plan to haul it around a bunch (I mean, not that you are going anywhere right now, but like, it the future, possibly) then that's something to note. I like it, it's really sturdy and I'm just using it at home anyway. Great for schoolwork, watching movies, emails, games, etc. Love that it flips over into tablet mode! I've had it a for month now and I'm so glad I got it.

You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. This model ships with a 3CELL_60.3WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, with a battery life of up to 15 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. I chose not to spend the extra money for the core i5 and this turns out to be plenty of speed/power for everything I need to do at work. The ability to convert to a tablet is a nice plus. It comes in handy during customer visits. However, if you use a tablet regularly, I would advise you to buy a tablet. While this is lightweight for a laptop, it is heavy enough that it is far from being an ideal tablet. Over all, I am very pleased with the purchase and with the service I received from Best Buy.

I can really run multiple programs (Adobe, Zoom meetings, Chrome (with a million tabs open) and more with little to no impact on the overall performance of this laptop. This computer would be great for a college student or someone who works from home. It can handle some gaming (my son plays Minecraft on it.), however, this laptop would be a great fit for students and individuals working from home. BONUS: the battery life is amazing!

I have been using it for work and personal use for 2 years now. Build quality is amazing. It still is very fast and runs smoothly. I run multiple spreadsheets and programs at the same time, never had an issue. Screen resolution and picture quality are great. The only downside is the internal speakers can be a little weak at times, but I normally use Bluetooth headphones so not a big issue for me.

I did a lot of research and finally settled on this one, and I am so glad I did! This is such a great laptop. It’s small and light, start up is quick, display is crisp, keys are easy to depress, and it’s lightning fast compared to what I was using. I am no computer expert, but I know a good computer when I use one, and this is it! Could not be happier. Plus it has a cool name. :-)

Bought this based off of a recommendation from a friend, both of us intending to use it for college. Haven't used it extensively but it's simple and satisfying to use. Love the privacy camera feature, something quite uncommon among laptops. The fingerprint reader also makes for convenient and quick logons. Only thing holding it back is a lack of an HDMI port, but there are dongles for that and not an essential port.

This comuter works fast, has a great screen, SSD drive, and is well built, not cheap plastics, and great battery life. The computer found and connected to my modem/router immediately. College starts the 31st, however the laptop has been exceptional so far. The speed is amazing, no matter how many tabs I have open. I underestimated how big 15.6 was but, the screen is perfect, I can see clearly and accurately due to the large size. The webcam is okay quality but I only need it for zoom for class. Tablet mode is so convenient. Overall, so happy with my purchase and it took me 4 months to find the perfect laptop for me.

My only complaint is not enough ports. There was not one on display at the store, so even though explaining the use for this laptop, I was not informed there would not be enough ports without an adapter. After making an additional purchase, I am happy with my purchase. I understand trying to make them thinner but they need to keep in mind the functionality.

I love the ease of login with fingerprint reader. I personally prefer fingerprint option instead of face ID because it is fast and very simple. It is good to own a laptop that offers both the options. Performance of the laptop for daily use has been great so far. My son loves the touch screen and tablet mode as well as the backlit keyboard. Thank you, Lenovo for building a great product!

The Best Buy consultant showed me a few computers in my price range after asking me what I was going to use the computer for. He compared all of them and highlighted the differences. He explained what each computer was better at for my intended purposes. He made my decision easy and also helped with picking out the keyboard, mouse, external hard drive and CD/DVD player-burner. The whole process went smoothly and quickly and we are happy with our choice.

I bought on in April and liked it so much that I bought a second one for my daughter. She is in college and her MAC died. Great resolution with touch screen. Very quiet. Easy setup with finger bio-metric login. Love it. I recommend buying this product with it. Insignia™ - USB-C to 4K HDMI Multiport Adapter with Power Delivery - White. Plug this into your tv to stream movies. Why buy a MAC when you can get this for half the price.

I had a cheaper model which works fine but shell was not well made. So the plastic cracked and the hedge popped out... i’m a big believer of what’s inside is the important thing so long as it’s functioning....It still works great despite the hedge so I decided to buy a model with a tougher casing. love the PC it’s fast is compact is very thin very light weight being a teacher and a tax preparer this portable laptop is perfect for me!

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga C740-15. It is normal for the surface of the Yoga C740-15 to feel warm to the touch when the computer is under a heavy workload. You can use Lenovo Q-Control to manually control fan performance: ( Fn + Q ) option to change the fan by undervolting the processor.
