Most disappointing purchase

Now I have a dead computer, trying to make an appt for repair is miserable and says if it isn’t charged they can’t help. What am I supposed to do?

Please ensure that you are using the included power adapter to charge this device. Also, you could try a replacement charger that meets the required specifications to see if this resolves your issue. If this also does not work, your Yoga features two USB-C 3.1 ports that support power delivery/charging to both ports. Try either or these two ports to see if your device will charge. Trackpad defective out of box?

I don’t know

Recently, around a month ago laptop's fan is starting giving trouble and making weird noises. I took it to the computer repair shop and they said laptop's fan is defective and need a replacement and it will cost me around $250. I am so upset with Lenovo. Also battery is poor. My previous laptop was HP and it's 12 years old still running but slow. I shouldn't have gone for Lenovo if their laptops only gonna last 2 years. I wouldn't recommend anyone Lenovo yoga C740. I think they are short lasting so you buy new ones often.

I don’t know if this is a Lenovo issue or a Microsoft issue, but the computer notified me that I needed an update, and while it was updating, it got stuck on the updating screen for an entire day. Then it kept changing from updating to restarting and no matter how many things I tried I could not exit this process, which was taking hours. Finally this morning my laptop opened up to my log in screen, which took me about 2 hours to get onto since it kept freezing, but once I was back in...I could not click anything without my laptop freezing and not loading. So at this point I can’t even open any apps or click any applications. This laptop looked really cool and worked great for the first day. Maybe I did something wrong on my end, but I’m just disappointed because it was so new.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you had issues installing a recent Windows 10 update onto your Lenovo Yoga C740-15. Resetting the computer back to original factory settings may fix the issues you are having. Since you can not properly boot the computer any longer, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the bottom right side of the device, right near the top right corner of the cooling vent on the bottom of the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

Hope Mother Board Go - No Replacements!

When I went to have it repaired, I was informed that Lenovo wasn't making parts . . . sorry but we can't fix your laptop. This has been a very expensive lesson in switching to a brand even when it has decent reviews.
