The battery lasts all day and then some while charging it at night. It is able to run everything i’ve thrown at it so far and will hopefully be able to continue that as i progress in electrical engineering. I like how slim and high quality it feels with a good mix of power.

I recently upgraded my daughter’s trusty Lenovo Yoga i5 (with 12GB RAM) from 2020 for her sophomore year of college. With her heavy class load, medical research, homework, and a sprinkle of light gaming, she needed more horsepower. Enter the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition. This laptop is a beast. The Intel Core Ultra 7 with 32GB of RAM makes it feel less like a laptop and more like a supercomputer disguised in sleek Luna Grey. It’s ridiculously fast, rock-solid stable, and even the new Intel graphics card holds its own with graphic-intensive gaming, smooth, no lag, no complaints. For context, I’ve been happily using my Lenovo C940, which is still an excellent machine. But after seeing what this Yoga Slim 7i can do, I find myself side-eyeing my C940 like it’s the family minivan while my daughter just pulled up in a sports car. Now I’m plotting my own upgrade, especially for work projects and AI prompt engineering. Bottom line: Lenovo continues to deliver. If laptops were athletes, this one would be running the 100m sprint while balancing a stack of textbooks and still looking good doing it. Just buy it!

I do not like numeric keypad, and it is probably the biggest size screen laptop that doesn't have one. So far works well for office/email/browsing. The IPS screen is bright, and one can use it outside. It is glossy - probably the only one minus that I can mention. I'm getting 10+ hours from it. I also was debating between IPS and OLED. Unless you are in image editing, IPS does the job. Touch screen really handy. Also, not much bloatware from Lenovo, which is a plus. I've 32 GB version. As of now, 16 should do the job, but if it survives a few years the Microsoft would take care of it.

I researched a lot of laptops before purchasing this one and got a great deal on it when on sale. Very happy with my purchase. Have been using it for several weeks now. I leave it plugged in most of the time so can't speak as to how the battery life is. My only complaint would be the lack of usb ports and only one HDMI port but that's pretty typical for laptops. Still trying to find a really good docking station.

Great Computer with limits

Has double capacity I had before for both RAM and full memory with a previous Hp i7 that was amazingly fast and could keep well over double the number of screens active for immediate use than this one does. This one buffers nearly every time I "awaken" any website. I learned they didn't set it up to use the entire internal CORE "brain," but use only a portion of it and we risk destroying the usefulness of the system if we try to increase the deficit. That is a disappointment. I don't know if this slows it down or it takes time to buffer for the incredible screen display. I wanted that! It also glitches often on opening websites, especially if I scroll across tab names to find the one I need. The screen goes white and I need to WAIT for the screen to activate, open.
