Doing great but computer wasn't! Wanted to make sure he had a laptop that would get him thru the next 4 years and beyond. This computer fit the bill. Good storage, fast, makes navigating his classes and writing papers snug going. Knowledgeable techs!

Best alll around lunar lake laptop

It is perfect for the medium-advanced user : lightweight, no numpad, 16:10 aspect ratio, excellent speakers, excellent display. But there is something wrong with either the 258V CPU or the NPU. I have bought, test and returned this model THREE TIMES, The camera image is very poor. I've tested it extensively with the local Camera App, Google Meet and Zoom. I have tested it with Lenovo Tech Support and BestBuy Geek Squad. Then I found another bug. Here is what happens: - Play a YouTube video on Chrome - Click on the [ ] icon to make the video full screen - Let it play for a few minutes - Click Esc to bring the video back from full screen - Both audio and video freeze - Clicking Esc does not help - Either click with the mouse on the video or refresh the webpage to awaken the audio and video - This does not happen frequently, but it has happened a few times. Ok laptop with some problems -

The keyboard wouldn’t work- brand new laptop!! Took it back to Best Buy - had to have an appointment - and problem fixed. Now I have another appointment tomorrow as music ( Pandora, Apple, IheartRadio, etc) shuts off within a minute! And now taking a long time to start up and shut down!!! Never happened with my old ASUS . Overall the laptop is good but problems on a brand new expensive laptop is very frustrating especially when I have to drive 30 minutes to the closest store and appointments are a week out !

Firstly, Microsoft has pushed out updates that have addressed the keyboard issue that you have experienced, please ensure that all available updates are installed through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings. These updates can correct software conflicts and fix keyboard drivers. To check for updates in Lenovo Vantage, start by launching the Lenovo Vantage app and selecting the “Check for updates” button on the right-hand side of the homepage. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page. After these updates are installed, please restart your device to ensure all program files are properly configured.
We would like to hear more about your issue when using music software so we can help you address the underlying issues. Does the software crash? Is the music continuing to play but with no audio?

(But at this price, it really should have an OLED.) Only 2 complaints are that the camera switch on the right side of the laptop is loose/rattles when touched, and the front-facing camera has a low resolution compared to competing devices.

Lunar Lake = The Future for X86

I used the Strix Point Asus laptop for a few months, and I used the Microsoft Surface Laptop with the Snapdragon Elite X and this Lenovo beats out its competitors. Thin, stays cool, excellent battery life and the future of integrated graphics. I can see iGPUs like Lunar Lake and Strix Point taking a huge chuck of dedicated graphics laptops market share. My biggest issue with this laptop is that the SSD is 2242 and not 2280 which takes away the upgradeability of using the fastest SSDs on the market.

Some sites are easier to navigate on it . I love how it looks. It took a minute to figure out how to turn it on, because the salesperson at the store showed me everything except that. I learned what I wanted to know about buying a new computer but didn’t understand that the button was not easy marked on and off on the side .( or at least green and red switch.
