Bought this for my wife who is starting a clinic, just needed a bare bones. Better than I expected!

The laptop has been great but with the windows 10 installation there were problems getting it going.

This computer is good for emailing and surfing the web. Great for a basic computer and good price. Battery sucks. Had to buy new battery the same year I bought this computer cause it doesn't last. Just purchased the computer based on price and hard drive, that was a big mistake. Would not recommend this computer.

This laptop is a fantastic computer for the price. When looking for a new laptop, I had a strict budget of ~$500. Being a computer enthusiast, I found it very difficult to find a laptop that fit my wants/needs. I especially wanted a computer with an Intel processor, as I've used Intel most of my life and their lower end CPUs generally perform better than AMD's higher end CPUs. That being said, it was hard to find a decent laptop with an i5 within my budget. After a lot of research and multiple stops at my local Best Buy, I decided that the AMD A10 7300 was a very capable processor for the price. Unlike the i5 5200u (most common i5 in my price range), this processor has 4 true cores compared to the i5's 2 cores with 4 threads. Although this may not translate to actual performance, I really preferred a true quad core for my usage needs. Furthermore, the AMD A10 being an APU also means that the graphics are more powerful than Intel's integrated graphics featured on the i5's in my price range. Don't get me wrong, this laptop is not designed for gaming and will not run games on high settings 60fps, but it is more than enough for my needs at school/work. This laptop also features 8 GB ram which should be standard for laptops these days. Not much to mention here. The main thing that might make my review less useful to some people is that I replaced the 5400rpm drive with a 240 GB SSD. I replaced it before ever using the computer with the HDD, so I have no idea how it performs without an SSD. That being said, this computer is an amazing performer with the SSD installed. One big thing that sets this laptop apart from others is that the back cover comes off with 3 screws so that the ram and HDD can be changed easily. This was huge for me, as I did not want to have to tear the entire laptop apart to replace hardware. Good on you, Lenovo for allowing customers to easily access the internals on this laptop. Many companies have moved away from this practice. Build quality is very nice. It does have plastic on many parts, but it feels very nice and sturdy. Nothing on this laptop screams "low-end", and even the keyboard has a nice feel with about the perfect amount of key travel. The 10 key area is a bit cramped, but I'm glad it's there for times when I need it. Laptop is also very light and quiet. When the CPU is running at high usage, it makes virtually no noise. Another thing I was picky about was the screen. I really did not want a 1366x768 screen, but ended up settling for one anyway. After looking around, I discovered that a virtual resolution can be set through AMD's driver, so this laptop is running at 1920x1080. Although the screen doesn't have the picture quality of a true 1080p screen, I mostly wanted it so I could fit more things on the screen at once (very nice for writing code), so I'm fine with that. Battery life is decent, about 2-3 hours. Could be better, but I have plenty of outlets available to me when I need them. Taking off one star for this. 1920 x1080 should be a standard resolution on any laptop above $200. All in all, this is an awesome laptop and the best one available at Best Buy in the $400 range. Do yourself a favor and get this laptop and an SSD to throw in it. You will not be disappointed.

I been having problems changing my gmail account name that the laptop is programmed with I accidentally didn't put the right gmail address when I first got my laptop and I can not change it to the right one it says that the right one is unavailable... So I am limited on what I want to do as far as downloading apps...

My son loves this Lenovo Computer. Only gave it a 4 stars be I've never used it.

The cable to go from the monitor to the tower should be included with monitor.
