I put off getting a copy of Les Miserables for a couple of yeas and saw it in the Best Buy bargain bin. I love this movie. How Hugh Jackman could play the leads in both this movie and a Wolverine movie astonished me! He's great!

I was shocked how good this movie was. I love the Broadway Play, and although the voices are not all as good as the play, it is amazing how good they are. Combine that with the knowledge that these are movie stars acting and signing at the same time was very impressive...Loved it!

This has to one of my favorite musical, if not my favorite. This musical is real special because it's historically based. It's a type of fiction, but with historical roots. It's really emotional and has great spiritual implications. The singing in this movie is phenomenal!

This was an interesting movie. I never saw the Broadway version but I was familiar with the score. The cast and music were very well selected and performed. If you like music and a story that will evoke emotions this is the movie for you.

This movie illustrated the power of 'Forgiveness' which is the one that I loved the most. This is the only thing that drove my attention in the movie. The acting of the actors/actresses were excellent too. To me, it is hard to sing in tune while acting at the same time. Great movie!

I saw this movie at the theatres and wanted my own copy. This is a favorite of mine. I do not have a Blu Ray player yet so needed the non Blu Ray version DVD. I needed to search but did find it at Best Buy and for a great price especially after using some Reward points toward it!

I never read the book or saw the movie, but I really loved and enjoyed this musical. The raw emotions from singing live was inspiring to me. I got goosebumps from the beautiful voices. If you dont like operas or musicals, give this one a chance. It might just change your mind. i

If you enjoy musicals then you will really enjoy this movie.

Evey spoken word is sung as a musical rime. Some viewers may find the song vice spoken dialogue difficult to follow. The sub-title option should be selected as it materially aide in a fuller understanding of the singing format. The musical sound-track is exceptionally well-done and supports the singing verse.

Let Mis is a movie that surprised me. I'm usually a big musical person and honestly didn't know anything about this before heading out to watch it. I watched it twice in theaters and now own in in Blu-ray. I gave my friend the DVD copy and now we're both set!

I've never read the novel, but I did see the play on Broadway. The movie does very well in capturing the feel of Revolutionary France. The emotions that are captured from the actors feel intimate and powerful.

I love this movie! Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman were amazing, as expected. Eddie Redmayne and Samantha Barks were a pleasant surprise. I hadn't heard of them before this movie, and they are so good. Saw this movie in theaters and I knew I had to own it. Made me cry.

This entire movie is a musical. I think only a few words are spoken. Actors one would never image could sing, does. This movie was shot with live singing on set which makes it unique in this day and age of lip syncing to recorded music done in a recording studio.

Overall it is a good movie. The review itself will be on the packaging rather than the movie. The packaging is the steel book packaging and it looks great if you're into the steel book look. Unfortunately, it seems like Best Buy no longer sells this version, making it truly a special edition version for customers that purchased it.

I picked up this movie in the $5.99 and up bin while waiting in line to check out. I normally don't like digging through the bins but when I saw this movie I did IMPULSE BUY. I gave it as a gift and they really liked it.

Les Miserables is an excellent film regarding survival during the French Revolution. Based upon the Victor Hugo novel and the Broadway play, the performances and singing are quite remarkable! The DVD includes commentary from the director, Tom Hooper.

When I bought the film, there were no scratches or nicks in the case, which is always appreciated. Not to mention, it's a pretty great movie. It's long, but every good version of Les Mis is. Poor Russell Crowe though... not too great as a singer.

This stirring epoch beautifully makes the transition from Broadway to Hollywood in a way that most of its predecessors have been unable to do. The pageantry was masterfully captured in this big screen rendition of a timeless classic. Bravo!
