This stirring epoch beautifully makes the transition from Broadway to Hollywood in a way that most of its predecessors have been unable to do. The pageantry was masterfully captured in this big screen rendition of a timeless classic. Bravo!

I am not familiar with the original play or the book it is based on, but my main impression of this is that it's goergeous. Also very somber in parts. If one is looking for a lighthearted musical, this is definitely not it. At points the movie actually drags quite a bit, but over all, it is an enjoyable spectacle.

Great musical with pretty good actors as well. One slightly annoying thing is that they sang the entire time, and even on the Broadway they have some speaking lines. Hearing Hugh Jackman sing was pretty impressive, and Russell Crowe plays a great Javert.

Great cast telling a great story in a fresh new style. The acting and singing are spot on. The Blu-Ray presentation is crisp, clear, and colorful. The sound and singing feel as if you are in the theater. Highly recommended.

A timeless story by Victor Hugo. This Blu-ray disc brings out the great scenery and the music fits well with the story. Also the actors and actresses do a very good job. A great addition to any movie collection.

The play is my all time favorite Broadway musical, so I was skeptical of it being put into a movie musical. But it is phenomenal - it tells the story so much better than the play, and the performances were awesome. A must see and a must to own.

I enjoyed this on the big screen in a full theatre soon after its release, but doubted I'd ever want to own a copy. But here was a great sale price on BluRay, so I decided to make the purchase for about the cost of steaming it online for a single viewing. Thanks, Best Buy!

This is my favorite musical of all time. This story of love, forgiveness, and redemption is inspiring and timeless. The music is amazing. The acting and singing are very good (other than Crowe--I still cannot believe he was cast in this movie).

This is a great musical and film for the whole family for movie nights. Fans will definitely sing along to the scores whilst older adults will enjoy the cinematography and really appreciate the movie adaptation to the classic literature.

I was hesitant to watch because it’s a musical, but the story and the music were great. Anne Hathaway’s solo is incredible.

My Wife and I loved the movie, a wonderful Musical, a great cast of actors, terrific acting. Very enjoyable entertainment. We have watched it several times and plan to share it with family and friends. Also, enjoyed the 2nd DVD content.

I was leary to see this movie because the play is so great but they chose the perfect actors for each part. Hugh Jackman, Ann Hathaway and the rest of the cast are perfect and they all sang so beautifully. I will watch this one over and over.

I love musicals and I have been looking for it for awhile. This is one of the best shows I have seen. Makes me cry every time. For anyone that loves old time movies, history and musicals this is the best.

Didn't actually look at the bonus features yet, so I can't say how they are. The movie did not disappoint! I have seen the story as a live musical twice and I loved it even more as a movie. Now I actually understand it much better!

If you are a fan of the musical, then you will probably love the movie. It follows parallel with the musical with some shortening of some songs and some good additions to enhance the story. Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman are great!

And I have to say, it didn't disappoint. The story has depth and this version has some incredible performances. Who knew some of these actors could sing as well as they do. Cinematography is amazing.

I was not familiar with the story of Les Miserables prior to watching this movie. While some of the singing by the seasoned actors is not in tune, it is still easy to enjoy. The acting is great and I really enjoyed the story.

This is the kind of movie that should be watched at least once. If you are into musicals then probably something good to have in your collection.

I thought the acting was very good. The production quality was excellent. It was a very good story line and the picture quality was very good as well. I would definitely recommend this movie to a friend. I really enjoyed it.

Just like I imagine the play would be. Jackman is flawless in this movie and brings out his great voice. Now I can’t wait to see it live
