Levoit 36" Smart Fan is a Smart Buy

We were very happy to have our new Levoit Classic 36" Smart Tower Fan arrive just in time to use it for the current Chicago-area late Spring 90 + degree heat wave. Out of the box, this handsome and well-designed fan looks great with it clean, modern lines and black and white aesthetic. The only assembly was a quick and easy attachment of the cleverly designed base, which is held on with a large, sturdy plastic nut on the bottom of the unit. After a quick read through the User Manual, we learned about the various controls and modes. This fan has a default Normal Fan Mode that has fan speeds from level 1 Low through 12 High. We found that the fan puts out an incredibly quiet and wonderfully cool stream of air at Levels 4 and 5. When you add Oscillation, we find the whole room feels very comfortable. With these abnormally high outside temperatures, we find that placing the Smart Tower Fan in front of the air conditioning vent and placing the fan in Turbo Mode, which pushes it to Level 12 with oscillation does a tremendous job of distributing that extra-cooled air, keeping us extremely comfortable. In the Turbo Mode, the Smart Tower Fan checks the existing ambient temperature at the start of the mode and keeps it at Level 12 until the room drops 5 degrees, then it automatically lowers the fan speed to Level 6 and continues to monitor the temperature and automatically adjust. The next Fan Mode is Auto, which automatically adjusts fan speed according to the current room temperature using an algorithm where 70 degrees F or less is set at Level 1 and moves the fan's speed up one Level for every 2 degree F increases, where it hits Level 12 at above 90 degrees F. If the temperature decreases 2 degrees, then the fan speed will decrease one Level in Auto Mode. This is very handy and keeps you from constantly having to manually adjust the speed. The Levoit - Classic 36-Inch Smart Tower Fan has a special, what I call a considerate mode, which is called Advanced Sleep Mode. When you choose this mode, all lights and sounds will turn off (the considerate part) and the starting fan speed is whatever you select before turning on this mode. After 1 hour, the fan speed will decrease when the room temperature has stablized and will basically enter Auto Mode as temperatures may fluctuate. Very smart! You have multiple ways to control the Classic 36-Inch Smart Tower Fan. There is a classy-looking touch pad control on top of the unit. There is a nice coin battery powered remote control that has its own resting place on the back of the unit. And, like most smart devices, it has its own application that allows for remote control of the unit via your phone. This application is called VeSync and requires WiFi and creation of an account. The VeSync application will allow you to control all of your Levoit devices and let you connect your devices to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. We are extremely pleased with the Levoit - Classic 36-Inch Smart Tower Fan. We think it looks great in our home and does an excellent job keeping us cool. I would definitely recommend this Smart Tower Fan to a friend or family member!

I love this tower fan. It came in a large but skinny box. They include the base (you assemble it and it feels very sturdy and there is no wobble at all) and a nice remote control and a manual. I was surprised at how sleek and modern it looks, but also its very lightweight. This however does not affect the fan quality. It is simply superb. I was surprised how whisper quite it is and how much air it moves. Even at lower speeds (like at night) I blows a refreshing gentle breeze. It is also "smart". I connects to the internet (has Wi-Fi) and you manage it with the Vesync app. I must point that at the time of configuring the Wi-Fi, I had a little hiccup. My phone was currently connected to a 5ghz network and the fan only supports 2.4ghz ones. It would not connect. But I found a workaround. Just connect your phone temporarily to your 2.4ghz network, finish the setup and then, you can switch back your phone to your 5ghz network. Once the fan is already connected to the internet you can manage it no problem, even if they are on different networks. Once connected to the internet, the app also updated the fan's firmware. The app is great, you can manage all the fans features, create schedules (like I.E for when you go to bed). They also include a nice and compact remote. If you don't use it, you can clip it on the back of the fan (it has a slide in compartment). The fan has many functions. You can manually adjust the fan speed, if you want it stationary or oscillating, you can set a timer, a night mode (all the lights turn off and it will start at a higher fan speed and as temps go lower during the night, it will auto adjust-lower the fan speeds accordingly), there is also an auto mode that adjusts fan speed depending on the room temp. I love that it has a temperature sensor and a nice display. The display can show either the fan speed or the room temperature and the fan speed status, also Wi-Fi. The fan blows lots of air and I was surprised at how quiet it is, even when oscillating, there is no mechanical noises at all. I use it a lot at night as temps go down, I don't like using the AC, however since this guy has a night mode and can sense temps, it delivers a gently breeze, letting me sleep comfortably. Cleaning it is easy and if you want to do a more in depth cleaning, you can pop the back open to clean the inside. Highly recommend this fan!!! ******************************************************************************************************************* I will mention some quick PROS and CONS: +++PROS+++ +Great build quality. +Space saving. +Smart, connects to Wi-Fi and you can manage it remotely with an app. +Quiet, but blows plenty of air, even at low speeds. +Oscillates. +Remote included. +Status LED screen display. +Night mode. ---CONS--- -I could not find any cons honestly, maybe just the little hiccup I mentioned above when configuring the Wi-Fi (which I solved myself, and is not mentioned in the manual). -I doesn't filter air (but again, its not intended to do so, nor advertised as that, but would be nice if it had some basic filtering capabilities no?).

Smart Fan that is Actually Smart!

I needed a fan for the bedroom that would push air more across the room instead of just across the floor or up towards the ceiling. Opted for a tower fan, to get the air moving across the bed to keep us cooler during the summer months. I’ve had Levoit Air Purifiers before that were great, have one in my bedroom, and have had no issues. Pros: - Easy to Use. - Smart Settings are actual convenient and helpful, such as scheduling. - Multiple ways to control: Top Panel, Remote, or App. Cons: - None so far. Assembly: Assembly is very straightforward, just take all the parts out of the box, remove the 2 boxes on the side of the tower fan that have the parts of the base. Follow the steps on the packaging and snap the 2 pieces together, then unscrew the nut on the bottom of the tower fan and put on the base on. Then screw the nut back on. All told, it took maybe 5 mins to assemble and turn it on to begin cooling the room! Once setup, there is an option to connect the fan to the VeSync mobile app to control it and set up advance features like schedules and timers. The mobile app setup took only a min or 2 once the fan was powered on. I didn’t encounter any issues during setup of the fan or the mobile app. Use: The Smart tower fan can be controlled from the app, but also is easy to use without the app thanks to the instruction sticker on top and the remote control. I positioned the tower fan to blow air across the bed to help keep us cooler at night. So far it has made a huge difference in comfort on these increasingly hot nights. There are 12 speeds that range from whisper quiet breeze to a much stronger blast that does generate quite a bit of noise. This might not be an issue for some but I’m a light sleeper and found that around 6 or 7 was the highest I could comfortably set the fan speed before the noise became too loud for me to fall asleep easily. There are 4 different modes that can be set: Normal, Turbo, Auto, and Advance Sleep. Honestly, I found that all but Normal were great modes because they used the Temperature Responsive feature that will adjust the speed of the fan based on Temperature of the room. This was amazing for sleeping, as when I switched it on after the first night the fan adjusted for the huge heat wave, we were hit with without having to do anything. I’ve mostly settled on the Auto mode, as it tends to keep it cool without being too loud. Additionally, you can turn off the display and sound either through the buttons or app. App: I must admit that I usually only install the app during setup, and that is the last time I open it for most of my devices. Unless the app adds enough benefit to make me want to use it. Levoit has done just that with the VeSync app, basically turning any phone connected to the account into a wireless remote for the device. Additionally, the app allows you to set schedules and timers. The Advance Sleep mode allows you to set a sleep schedule that applies during your specified time along with settings like repeat, turn device on, speed of fan, oscillation, display on or off, and sound on or off. This really adds a layer of convenience that a normal fan doesn’t have, and thus makes me want to use it. Being able to set up a schedule and let that control the fan checks off one extra thing you don’t have to do. Performance: I could tell right after turning the fan on the difference it made, on max speed, the fan very quickly reduced the temperature in the bedroom (it’s 11ft by 11ft) but even on a lower setting the fan made a big difference while across the room. The temperature difference at night on fan speed 6 or 7 has been waking up sweating and sleeping comfortably, so probably only 3-5 degrees. It’s only a little bit but this fan directs it at just the right height to go across the bed so that during the summer months you don’t need to crank up the AC as much, every little bit counts. As mentioned above, the app paired with the smart features add a beneficial layer to the performance, which is time savings that you don’t get with normal fans. I set up the fan based on my sleep schedule to switch on and run the advanced sleep mode before bed, turn off in the morning and repeat each day. I haven’t touched the settings for a few days now and have had zero issues. The only time I think I might need to adjust the settings is during day lights savings. Conclusion: If you need a tower fan, that has a little more to it than your average tower fan, I would recommend the Levoit Classic 36-Inch Smart Tower Fan without any hesitation. The tower fan is easy to use, has plenty of settings and smart settings that make sense to use. I’ll be using this for the rest of the hot months, to sleep better and keep cool.

TL;DR: The Levoit Classic 36" Smart Tower Fan is a fantastic smart fan that is rather "smart" and does a good job of cooling. Unboxing: Super easy to set up, I went from having it in the box to up and running (and even connected via the app) in well under ten minutes. It came undamaged and the stand, though very simple, seems solid enough. Highlights: One of the standout features is the handy slot designed to tuck away the remote. Given that this is a smart fan, you might not use the remote often, but it’s a thoughtful addition for those who prefer physical controls. You can also use the control panel on the fan itself. The VeSync app is intuitive and user-friendly, and I find it to generally be more convenient to use as there are more settings and options in the app. The fan’s performance is impressive, providing strong airflow even at lower settings. I found that settings 2-3 were enough to keep me cool in what is typical for my local area at this time of year, around 75-80°F (or about 24-27°C). At lower speeds, the fan is super quiet, only becoming noticeably loud around speed 5. At speeds 2-3, it was adequate for cooling a medium-sized room and others in the room didn't notice any loud fan blade or motor sounds. For the performance, the relative quiet is incredible. The air blown also feels cool, and though it won't replace an A/C, it altogether is amazing at helping reduce (at least the perception of) heat. A highlight of this fan is its "smart" capabilities, which are actually smart! It can monitor the current ambient temperature and adjust accordingly, a useful feature for people who might tend to set and forget. I also strongly appreciated the auto turn-off display and mute functions, both of which are godsends when it comes to an appliance kept in the room where you sleep! (Also of note: the sleep mode enables these features by default. Super handy.) The timer and schedule are both nifty as well. From an aesthetic perspective, the sleeker and more understated design is nice since it can live in a corner of a room and not overpower it. There's also the usual oscillation features typical on fans, and at 36" it is a happy medium between a more compact and larger full-size tower fan. Drawbacks It's genuinely difficult to think of any. I do think this fan will struggle to cool a larger room, but tower fans aren't exactly renowned for actually cooling a room. I found that even with smart mode enabled, there was only a temperature differential of one or two degrees after running for an hour or so, and that could be chalked up to natural temperature fluctuations. To my knowledge, not even this fan can actually cool a room. That isn't to say that this fan doesn't provide a cooling effect or help to cool me down, but if you're buying this to replace an A/C or hoping it'll drastically reduce ambient temperatures you will be disappointed. Conclusion The Levoit Classic 36" is a good tower fan that manages to provide shockingly good cooling with some convenient QoL features that I hope become more standard to fans in general! It is a lovely addition to a bedroom cooling setup and will no doubt help on hot summer nights (or days). Just don't buy it expecting it to be on par with an A/C! Pros: - super easy to set up - has actually "smart" smart functionality - provides a great cooling effect with a quiet sound - ability to mute the fan and turn off its display (a must-have to avoid the more typical scrambling to cover the bright lights with duct tape or what have you when using it in a bedroom while trying to sleep) - sleep mode, timers, and scheduling - all handy features Cons: - not enough power to effectively circulate air in a larger room (which I honestly wouldn't even expect from a fan like this)

I love the Levoit Classic 36-Inch Smart Tower Fan! It is so easy to set up, link with Alexa, and use right out of the box that this is a must buy for anyone looking for a modern looking smart fan for their home or office. The first thing that strikes you about the Levoit Classic is its stylish, minimalist design. The black finish gives it a sophisticated look that can blend seamlessly with various home decor styles. Standing at 36 inches tall, it’s slim enough to fit in tight spaces while still providing ample airflow. The build quality feels robust, and the materials used are durable, ensuring longevity. When it comes to performance, this Levoit fan does not disappoint. It features a powerful motor that can circulate air effectively throughout the room. The fan offers three different speed settings— normal, turbo, and auto—allowing you to customize the airflow to your liking. If you control the fan manually, you have up to 12 speeds to choose from. Additionally, the oscillation function covers a wide area, ensuring that cool air is distributed evenly. One of the standout aspects of this tower fan is its smart capabilities. It can be controlled via the Levoit app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices. This allows you to adjust settings remotely, set schedules, and even integrate it with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The convenience of being able to control your fan from your smartphone or through voice commands adds a layer of modern convenience that is hard to beat. A crucial factor for any fan is the noise level, and the Levoit Classic excels in this area. Even at the highest setting, the fan operates quietly, making it suitable for use in bedrooms or offices where noise can be a distraction. The sleep mode is particularly impressive, reducing the noise to a gentle hum that won't disturb your rest. The Levoit Classic is designed with energy efficiency in mind. It consumes less power compared to traditional fans, which can help reduce your electricity bills. The timer function is another handy feature, allowing you to set the fan to turn off automatically after a certain period, further conserving energy. Setting up the Levoit Classic is straightforward, and the user manual is clear and concise. The touch control panel on the top of the fan is intuitive, and the digital display is easy to read. The included remote control is a nice touch, providing another convenient way to operate the fan without having to get up. I personally love using the Levoit app. It is so easy to use and I like using the Advanced Sleep Settings when I go to sleep. The Levoit Classic 36-Inch Smart Tower Fan is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-quality, feature-rich cooling solution. Its combination of style, performance, and smart technology make it a standout product in its category.

How do you improve on an oscillating fan? Add Wi-Fi and smart features, of course! This is my first Wi-Fi enabled fan, but I must say that the experience has been great. I received this fan just as we had our first 100-degree day, and it has been a Godsend. The VeSync app, which allows you to control your fan remotely via your phone, is super easy to use. The fan is easy to set up out of the box. It has been incredibly quiet. Even at its highest settings, the fan is never terribly loud. All-in-all, I really enjoyed my time with the Levoit 36-inch Smart Tower Fan. Setup: Inside the box, you get two pieces for the base, instructions, a quick start guide, and the tower fan unit with remote. To assemble the fan, you simply attach the two pieces of the base together and then secure those pieces to the fan with the plastic nut on the bottom of the tower. The only thing left is to remove the tape and plastic from the fan and remote. I had the entire fan out of the box and ready to cool in less than ten minutes. To use the fan with your phone, you will need to download the VeSync app on your Android or iOS devices. The app will guide you through the set-up process which includes creating an account with VeSync if you do not already have one. Once set up, you can add the device to Google Home or Alexa. Experience: My experience has been great. This tower fan really puts out a lot of air. It has been quiet. I was not thrilled with the idea of creating another app account, but the integration with Alexa and Google home has been very good. From the VeSync app, you can name your fan which makes it much easier to control with Alexa voice. There is an auto mode that adjusts the fan speed based on the room’s temperature. Greater than 90F, the fan will run at max speed. At less than 70F, the fan will operate at its lowest setting. The advanced sleep mode is like the auto mode except that the starting speed is determined by the speed the fan had been operating versus the air temperature. After an hour, the speed of the fan will decrease and then adjust up or down depending on changes in the room temperature. The included remote works well and stores securely to the fan itself. The smart features with the app have come in handy. If you want to put this fan in a baby or kids’ room, the application will allow you to monitor the temperature in the room and adjust the fan remotely. Instead of worrying about waking the baby up by entering the room, you can adjust via the application. Setting a schedule or turning the fan on or off via the application or Alexa is incredibly convenient. You can even turn off sounds and the LCD display from the VeSync application. Conclusion: My wife and I have really enjoyed this fan. It works great. It was simple to set up. The smart feature integration has worked incredibly well. I like it and think it is an easy recommendation. 5/5

Verdict: It’s the best fan we own! Abundant features for the price, and it’s incredibly quiet. I would buy this many times over. First impressions. Personally, I don’t love the black and white contrast, but my wife called it “very pretty” when she saw it, so it’s user preference. My wife loves the look and it now sits right upfront in her home office... But it works so well that we will buy another for the bedroom. Setup. All it takes to setup is to put the base together and screw it onto the tower. Once plugged-in, it’s easy to figure out the controls with the quick reference sticker on the top panel. Controls. Buttons are easy to use, and there are ample controls to customize the airflow you want. Of note, there are quite a few options (buttons), so I’ve decided to keep the quick reference sticker on the panel so that we can remember what every button does. Some functions are standard, such as oscillate, timer, and fan speed, but other controls are more impressive. The fan mode button allows activation of turbo mode (the strongest setting), and holding this button for 3 seconds turns off the display for nighttime use. Auto mode will adjust the fan speed based on the air temperature so that the fan can keep you cool despite fluctuating temperatures. Advanced Sleep Mode turns off the display and button sounds, and manages fan speed automatically to keep the room cool through temperature changes. The fan also comes with a simple remote that can be stored on the backside of the fan, very cool! The fan can also connect to an app that works great as a remote. With the app, you can also setup advanced schedules. If used smartly, this can save a lot on your A/C bill. Performance. This fan is unbelievably quiet. At a setting of 6 or below, you can hardly hear it. Oscillation allows the effective distribution of air, even at low speeds. The remote and app makes daily use incredibly convenient. Finally, the app allows for exceptional user experience. I didn’t know a fan could be this great! Things I love. - Small, simple, and elegant - Very quiet at setting 6 or below - Very powerful at setting 10 to 12 - Excellent controls with buttons, a remote, and an app - Smart features with several automatic modes - Ability to create customized operating schedules - Affordable price - Light weight Things I don’t love. - Nothing… it’s amazing Overall, this is the best fan we have in the house. Considering all the included features at this price point, the value for this fan is exceptional. I most highly recommend this fan for bedrooms and home offices to stay cool and keep your A/C bill lower. Very well done!

Best room fan I've ever had

Who would have thought that a simple tower fan could be so darn impressive. In all my years using so many different type of fans, I've come to think that most of them do basically the same thing. Well, Levoit Classic fan changed my mind after a little bit of use. Looking at the box, I noticed that Levoit gives a 2 year warranty which in my mind was impressive. You don't really find to many products that give anything over 1 year. Also on the box, it states which side to open it which I found out to be quite necessary. LOL. Open the other way and the base is stuck, lol, not that you couldn't eventually get it out. Set up out of the box is quite simple. Attach the base to the unit and that's it. Scan the QR code that is on the manual and on top of the fan and just download the app. Sign up and follow the instructions and boom, you're connected to the fan. I literally had it working with my Alexa in less than 5 minutes. Not only can you control the unit with your phone or your home hub, it comes with a remote as well. Now what was more impressive than all the cool features of the fan was how absolutely quiet it was at max speed. The fan moved a lot of air but was really quiet. Also, I don't know if it was me or the fan, but it felt like the fan was blowing colder air than the room air temp. Man is this thing awesome. If you are in search of a room fan, honestly, this is the one.

Have never taken too much notice of fans, except the Levoit Tower Fan, which is 'Fan'tastic. The style, the cooling, and the advanced management either with the controller, mobile app or convenient panel on top of the fan. The Levoit Tower Fan is a match set for our Levoit Humidifier, which is another incredible whole home humidifier from their company. Look great together in our living room. What does it do, it cools the air. Quietly with Style. The Levoit is the most remarkable fan I’ve had the pleasure of having in my home: - Design and style are spot on – Wife Approved - For us – matches up lovely with our Levoit Humidifier - Takes little space – easy to move - Quiet! - Powerful with a Turbo mode – still relatively quiet on turbo - “Advanced Sleep Mode” - Convenience - Ninety-degree oscillation - VeSync App – works smoothly with full of line of home products - Remote control – well designed – has storage space on top rear fan - Alexa and Google Assistant - Simple to clean “Temperature Responsive: Using a built-in sensor, the tower fan makes automatic fan speed adjustments based on room temperature.” A brilliant mode, adaptive cooling to room temperature.” We love the fan, a great addition to our home cooling.

Order came nicely packaged and delivered by local carrier in one piece. Unboxing was simple the retail box inside. When taking the fan out you will immediately notice that there are only three pieces to this fan. There is the tower itself and two smaller boxes with the tower stand. What’s so cool about that? No screws. You simply snap the two feet together and take the nut off the base and out the stand on! Everytime I open one of these I’m aggravated because I’m like how is the stand going to be a pain but this tower fan does not have this problem. Setting up is easy and the tower fan has a long cord long enough to go to the other side of our dresser and reach the power strip. There is an app on Apple or android for VeSync but we don’t have any of their other smart home products so I did not use the app for this fan. The fan has simple settings and a nice large screen that displays the current setting. The max power goes up to twelve and while having it on max I felt like it was quiet enough and a big upgrade from its predecessor. I recommend this fan!

Quick and generally easy set-up make this smart tower fan ready to go quickly and after pairing with app and wi-fi, ready to integrate into your smart home or for use with Googe/Amazon smart home products such as the Dot or Echo (aka. third-party voice assistants). Adjust the fan settings using the remote control or via the VeSync app. This fan comes equipped with four modes and twelve fan speeds, offering convenience and ease of use—simply select your preferred setting. It features a temperature-responsive mode, meaning it is optimized for sleep by adjusting the fan speed based on the room's temperature. In this setting, the Smart Tower Fan initially assesses the room's ambient temperature and maintains it at Level 12. Once the temperature decreases by 5 degrees, the fan automatically reduces its speed to Level 6, continuing to monitor and adjust the temperature as needed. The wide and relatively cool coverage makes it, so you are always likely to feel the breeze anywhere in the room that the fan is in. The fan operates at a reasonable noise level, which is reported to get as low as 25dB. With multiple ways to control this smart fan, a sleek look, and doing a generally terrific job of keeping a room cool at a decent price- Levoit's Smart Tower Fan is a easy recommendation

As I begin this review, I cannot help but chuckle at the world we live in because this fan connects to my house wi-fi, interfaces with my phone, and required a firmware update... While I was able to plug the fan in and turn it on, just like any 'ole fan, this one does have some additional features that earn it the "smart" moniker. As for the "fan" part... The fan works exactly as one would hope. Turn it on and it circulates air. The fan can oscillate 90° or remain stationary. There are also 12 "steps" or speeds available for the fan as well. While increasing the fan speed also increases the noise created by the fan, I personally did not think the highest speed was that loud (especially compared to the fan I was replacing). Controls are relatively simple with an on-device display that displays the fan's status. The fan has a timer that will run the fan in one hour increments up to 12 hours before turning off. There is a "normal," "turbo," and "auto" mode for the fan, although I really did not notice much of a difference between the normal and turbo modes. Lastly, there is an "advanced sleep" mode that will automatically adjust the fan speed based upon the temperature of the room. (I am not sure, however, what the fan considers to be an ideal temperature. I was not able to find any way to set a target temperature on the fan or with the phone app.) A nice convenience feature is the inclusion of a wireless remote control. Lying in bed an need to adjust the fan, turn it on, or off? Just grab the handy remote. No need to get up! There is a storage area built in to the back of the fan for the remote as well (in the case you do not need or want to use the remote). Some other convenience features include the ability to turn off the display (if you find that the light from the display is too bright while sleeping or you just want a "clean" look without the display). That leads me to the "smart" part of the fan. Again, this fan can be set up to interface with your home network through a smartphone app. The app is designed to accommodate different devices produced by this company, so it would appear as though it could serve as a hub for a wide array of devices made by Levoit. The app can integrate with Google home or Alexa, which is nice if you are Google/Amazon-centric. Those who use HomeKit through Apple (like myself), however, apparently need not apply. The on-phone controls are pretty simple and make the "programming" of options on the fan a little more intuitive than using the on-device controls. With that being said, the app really does not provide any additional features that cannot be accessed through the fan itself (or by using the included remote). Given the inclusion of the fan's "advanced sleep" mode that adjusts the fan to the temperature of the room, I thought there would be way to set your target temperature, but that does not appear to be the case. The fan does monitor the temperature of the room and you can even set the display to show the temperature (as opposed to the fan speed), if so desired. The smartphone application will also show the temperature of the room. Ultimately, if I was allowed to give half-stars for a review, I would probably give this fan 4.5 stars given that it excluded HomeKit compatibility and there does not appear to be a way to set the target desired temperature for the "advanced sleep" mode. Those somewhat minor exclusions, however, are not enough to impact the overall form and function of the fan to deduct a full star (in my opinion), which is why I rounded up to five stars. If you are looking for a fan that is relatively quiet, moves a lot of air, can be accessed remotely, has a somewhat small footprint, and has intuitive controls, this fan should fit the proverbial bill.

I’m sure that I’m not the only person who’s been on the hunt for a quality fan with the start of summer and the arrival of this nationwide heat wave. The Levoit - Classic 36 inch Smart Tower Fan turned out to be just what I was looking for and then some. The fan arrived double boxed to protect it from damage during shipping and was very easy to open. It comes almost completely assembled and no tools are required. You simply snap together the two-part base and thread on the large plastic nut provided to hold it in place. It took longer to unbox the fan than it did to assemble it. I will bring you your attention to the fact that the fan is advertised as being the color black but only the fan’s display and grate are black-the remainder of the fan is bright white. No matter it’s color, the Levoit Classic Smart Tower Fan has a modern profile that blends well with any décor. At 36inches tall, 6 ½ inches wide, with a base measuring just less than 12 inches it fits just about anywhere. The fan offers four modes and 12 speeds. Turbo, auto, and advanced sleep mode all auto adjust the speed of the fan based on the temperature in the room-normal mode does not. Sleep mode also turns off the lights and sounds on the fan but you can do these things independently also. I’m unsure if I’m overlooking how to set the target temperature for the unit to reach but I haven’t been able to figure this out. The fan oscillates 90 degrees, has a timer, and comes with a small hand-sized remote control that stores away on the back. Additionally there is a set of controls on the top of the unit-this provides a third option for controlling the fan. It has a removable back cover that allows you to deep clean it and comes with a two-year parts and labor warranty. The packaging encourages you to scan and download the VeSync App, with the option to connect to your smart home system and control devices using Amazon’s Alexa or Goggle Assistant. The app allows you to control the settings, set schedules for when the fan runs, as well as timers for how long it runs. While I did download the app and play around with it, I found that all of the functions that I needed to use could be accessed via the remote and by using the controls on the top of the unit. It often required more effort to locate my phone when I wanted to change the settings than it did to just grab the remote. While these smart features add to its performance and capability their use is not required-it functions great as a plug-n-play fan straight out of the box. I can definitely see the app confusing those who are not tech savvy. The airflow from this fan feels refreshing, provides the comfort you need to remain asleep during humid nights, and aids in keeping the AC bill under control. At speeds below level 4 I found it to be whisper quiet increasing exponentially as I approached level 12 but in comparison to other fans I have had it was still quiet. The fact that it doesn’t have a handle to carry it makes moving it around a bit awkward but at only 8.2lbs it is very light weight. I would definitely recommend this fan for those who are fans of the smart home concept and who love the latest tech offerings. This fan is definitely a quality product and delivers as promised with the bonus features that make it “smart”.

This fan was quite a pleasant surprise, and I found myself liking it a great deal more than I expected. I have a Levoit air purifier which has been functional and trouble free, so I decided to give their fan a try. The well-designed Levoit app is used by my purifier and the smart fan, so that was another plus. As with their other products, the fan was attractive and well made, but it’s the performance and features that make it special. This is the first tower fan I’ve had. I found it moves a lot of air quietly and comfortably, and the oscillation sweep is a full 90 degrees letting it cover an entire room. There are several operating modes … normal, automatic, turbo, and advance sleep. Normal is as expected. Set the speed from a whisper quite 1 to an aggressive and powerful 12 and decide if you want it to oscillate or not. Automatic adjusts the speed based on room temperature. Turbo starts at 12 to cool the room and then increments down with the temperature. Sleep adjusts itself to “match” sleeping patterns and temperature changes. There’s an LED readout on the front of the fan which shows temperature and speed and a few other icons. As you’d expect, it can be turned off. All these settings can be accessed from the top panel or by using the remote. You might think a remote is overkill with a fan, until you have one. It’s a nice touch. Those choices are enough to qualify this as more than a “dumb” fan, but it’s the Levoit app that really makes this fan smarter yet. The app syncs with the fan quickly and easily and will control all the Levoit devices you have. It uses your home WIFI to link with your phone or device, so it can control the fan from anywhere in your house. You can see what the temperature is where the fan is located and adjust as needed. Need to pre-cool the bedroom a bit? Do it while watching TV. Need to check on a child’s room or nursery? Do it from where you are. Additionally, you can set schedules and programs to truly customize how and when the fan operates. It's an attractive unit. It does a lot. It’s quiet and moves a lot of air. It’s extremely programmable. It’s large squirrel cage fan is easily cleanable. It’s a winner, and I can easily recommend it. With heat waves getting more common, it can improve comfort and maybe save a little money by letting you set your AC temperature a bit higher.

This is a great tower fan. It is very pleasing to look at as it is sleek and attractive. It was easy to assemble with a 2-piece base that snaps together and is held to the bottom of the fan with a large plastic nut. It is very stable. The fan has 12 speeds and 3 fan modes, normal, turbo and auto. There is a top mounted control panel and a front mounted display panel to show the various speeds and modes the fan is operating in. Control of the fan can be done with either an app or with the included remote control. I have been using the remote as it is very convenient to use. There is a plastic tab in the remote that needs to be removed for the battery to make contact and the instructions say to pull it out before using. I highly recommend unscrewing the cover before trying to remove the plastic tab so not to damage the remote. The remote can be stored in a slot in the back of the fan as well. The fan does a great job of moving the air in the room. I have this in my bedroom which is approximately 250 sq. ft., and it does a great job. It has been in the mid 90’s all week and I haven’t had to run my air conditioning at all with this fan. It’s very light weight so you can move it around easily. I have a sound pressure meter and it registers between 25db at the lowest setting and 60db at the highest. I have been using it between 4 and 6 and even at night it is very quiet. At the various modes it can determine the temperature of the room and adjust the fan speed and as the temperature drops it will reduce the speed as needed. There is an option to turn off the display or in night mode it will do this automatically. There is also an oscillating feature that will turn the fan 90 degrees. An access panel on the back of the fan allows you to clean the inside of the fan. For the cost savings of not having to run the air conditioner this is a great product and well worth the price. I would highly recommend this fan to anyone.

When the heat hits, the Levoit Classic 36-inch Smart Tower Fan steps up. Let’s explore its features in detail: Alexa Integration: It works seamlessly with Alexa. Just say, “Alexa, turn on the fan,” and enjoy the breeze. Easy Remote Control: The straightforward remote lets you adjust speed, oscillation, and mode effortlessly. Plus, you can turn off those button sounds—perfect for quiet nights. Levoit App: Manage settings from your phone. Set schedules, fine-tune speed, and keep cool. It’s like having a personal climate concierge. Speed Variety: Choose from gentle to turbo speeds. Everyone finds their comfort level out of 12 speeds. Automatic Temperature Adjustment: No sudden chills or sweats. It adapts to your surroundings. Aesthetics: Despite being called “black,” it is 75% white. We would have preferred an all-black option, but the tower is sleek and disappears into your decor much better than a traditional circular-bladed fan. Display Sleep Option: This is our second favorite feature behind the automatic temperature adjustment. You can set the bright display to turn off! Now, it would be nice if you could turn down the brightness of the display as well, but we can stand the 5 second wait for the display to disappear. Assembly Ease: Putting this fan together is a breeze (pun intended). Clear instructions and minimal parts make it hassle-free. No tools needed, just snap the two halves of the base together and then screw it on. Voice Assistants: While we’ve primarily tested it with Alexa, it’s worth noting that the Levoit fan also integrates with Google Assistant. In summary, the Levoit Classic Smart Tower Fan combines simplicity, convenience, thoughtfulness, and compatibility.

I needed an extra fan for the room in my basement, even though it's really cold down there because it's underground. When I seen this fan I figured I'd give it a try, and I wasn't really expecting much from it, I figured I was just getting a regular tower fan. When the fan arrived, it was very simple to put together with snapping a piece together, and twisting a piece on to tighten it up. So I ended up plugging it up and turning it on to see how hard it blows and calls the room. After playing with it for a little bit, I was ready to review it. The review I would've given it at the time was a basic fan with a three star rating. Then, for some reason, I came in the next day and started messing with the fan again. I realized at that moment, that there were way more features than what I originally thought, and there's also wi-Fi connection with an app I already had downloaded. And my favorite setting on the fan is the turbo setting, which gives you just as much air as those $400 fans for fraction of the price. For the life of me I had no idea what the mute button did, which I found out that it mute the sound of the buttons when you press them, and it turns off the display after a short period of time which I love! When it comes to using either the remote control that comes with it or the app, I prefer using the app because I don't have to have the remote close to me as I know I'll have my phone. This is really a convenient and very useful fan, especially for your children's room where you can control it remotely throughout the day and night. So before you go out and purchase that fan you've been looking at, you should take a look at this one!

Our household has gone through our fair share of portable fans, including tower fans, over the years. We all agreed this Levoit smart tower fan is easily the most high tech and impressive one we have used yet. Fortunately this fan showed up the same exact week a heat wave came through the area, on top of our AC going out. I was hesitant to turn a fan on in fear of just stirring the warm air around, but it provided relief instead! Assembly was very easy, I love the idea of no tools needed to secure the fan to its base. If I were to need to take it apart for storage or moving reasons it would be very quick and easy to do so. The base does seem like the most stable fan I've used. It's a little wobbly but fortunately it does not need to be touched much since it includes a very handy remote. I always thought I'd never need a remote control fan, that is until I got one and realised how convenient it is. It includes all the functions one would need, and the range it can work away from the fan is plenty. The first thing I noticed when turning this fan on is just how quiet it is! It feels like it moves a ton of air and provides instant relief, but the volume of the fan running does not match the amount of air flow it is producing, it's very impressive. This may not be the best fan for people who would use it for fan noise while sleeping. If I use it for sleeping then I need the speed to be on one of the higher settings to get enough volume out of it. Overall I recommend this fan, it is perfect for most household applications.

    Cooling tower fan

I didn’t know that I would love this fan so much, but I do! I live in south Texas, which is extremely hot for over seven months a year. I have a few decent fans, but this vertical tower fan is my new favorite. There are several ways to operate this fan. It has a remote, buttons on top of the unit, and an app. It is nice to be able to change fan settings with my iPhone app. This fan is lightweight enough that I carry it around the house. There is a little slot on the upper part on the back of the fan where you can put your fingers in there to carry it. I have a home gym in my living room (don’t judge me) so I started bringing it in there with me. I have a Vornado stand fan in the gym, which I have to angle up or down, depending on where I am, on the floor or standing. With this fan, it is cooling all of me, without me having to angle it. When I’m done there, I carry the fan back to the kitchen area so I can enjoy it there. This fan is very quiet, until you get to the higher speeds. The top speed is 12. This fan has the ability for a 90 degree oscillation, but I tend to leave it in non-oscillating mode. The section with actual fan air is 17” long. The color of this fan is called black, but the body is mostly white. Just the front fan section is actually black. The fan doesn't take up a lot of space, it has a small footprint. The easy to attach base is about 11.5" in diameter.

If you are looking for a fan for your space and have come across this one, then you need to do yourself the favor of treating yourself to it! First, the "real estate" that it takes up is very minimal and with the big fans you really need not only the floor space but also space all around the actual fan so nothing gets knocked around. With this fan, the space that it takes up on the floor is truly all that you need to allow for it. Second, I do not mind white noise but my husband is a very light sleeper and can be really bothered by noises, this has given us a very happy compromise. I sleep with the fan on my side of the bed and so while I can hear the movement of the air, it hasn't bothered him in the slightest. ALSO, it has a "nighttime" or "mute" button that you can use that makes it so that there's no beeping from adjusting it nor any light from the display... I didn't know just how badly that I needed those features until I had them! Lastly, having a remote is a true game changer! We live in the south and it gets WARM, also, there's a lot of humidity so sometimes finding the right temperature and air flow can take a bit. Not having to get up to adjust the fan is the luxury that we all deserve in today's world!
