Works well for the money, covers a medium sized room. We use two of these to cover 750 sq ft.

I bought this thinking it was for an at most 500 sq ft room, when I received the item the box said it was 450 sq ft. I checked the item number to see if the number on the box matched what was advertised and they both matched! If I wanted the 450 sq ft unit, I would've bought that one instead, which is also cheaper than this one. According to the box, it only makes units up to 450 sq ft anyway. UPS was supposed to make 3 attempts to pick it up but only came once. To make sure my return window didn't end, I returned it myself. It was quite inconvenient returning as this unit was very heavy.

rec;d no remote or instructions in package...spent 2 1/2 hrs on phone trying to obtain same...no luck with it...Now stuck w/ an air condioner that I do not know how tp operate and no remote...will not purchase L G or Best Buy again...I am 80 yrs old and cannot continue to jump through hoops. Guess I'm out $600. .............................................................................................................

too expensive for its current selling price, uses a lot of energy, can't use it with my microwave on at thesame time, it makes noise, it is not totally silent. It cools well

The model number and description is misleading. A 10,000 btu was sent instead. so paying more for less!!

While I’m not a fan of portable A/Cs this one has changed my mind a bit. So happy I ordered before summer. It’s about as quiet as you’d want to sleep with. WiFi controls are great and shows power usage. Fantastic unit if you have to go with this style of A/C. Highly recommended!

First - false advertisement. I received 10,000 BTU. I was afraid that I'd received defective item as some reviewers had experienced. Perhaps it was during the delivery period for becoming damaged. I wasn't aware that I had less than 30 days to request a refund or return the item. I ordered the item 5/24. I didn't set it up immediately because it wasn't hot yet. I finally set it up a week ago because I wanted to make sure I was under 30 days for return if it was malfunctioning. It's not working the way it should. AC cool air isn't cold enough - it feels like a fan. I had it on for 45mins, it wasn't hot day. My room was under 75 degrees. It didn't cool the room nor the close approximity cold. Also, it wasn't quiet. I could hear buzzing/rattling. Upon contacting Geek Squad since I purchased it, they told me to contact the manufacturer to diagnose the problem. LG is sending a technician. After thinking about it, I don't want them to "fix" it, I want it to be replaced with a new one that works since I received a broken item. Best Buy is telling me I missed the return period and they can't replace it with a new one. Customer service wasn't good. Incompetent. As said, Geek Squad didn't want to check what they could do to resolve the issue even though I have coverage. Don't buy it from here. Hopefully, LG will replace it with a new one if they have a diagnosis rather than "fixing" it.

Works really well in these hot temperatures. I like the ease of use and portability. The app is great and actually tells you how much power was consumed.

Great purchase. Can finally sleep with the AC on and not feel like I'm inside a plane. So far it cools down the room (about 450sqf) in a few minutes.

After ordering and trying 3 different units, this is a great air conditioner. Packs a big punch for the small size and reasonable price.

I was so excited about this AC because of all the good reviews but sadly it did not work out. First of all, when I received it the box was seriously damaged with a rip at least halfway down the side along with some other holes that were just covered with packaging tape. Trying to overlook this, I took the unit out and proceeded to set it up. It looked a little dirty which I figured was because of the holes in the box, but figured it wouldn't effect its efficiency at all. Sadly, I was wrong. For one, it wasn't as quiet as it was described to be, sometimes even having a high-pitched buzz from the compressor. And second, it barely cooled down the room (maybe only 2-3 degrees) when it was only in the low 80's outside. I'd hate to see what it would be like when it hits the 90s as I'm in LA. The smart aspects of this were nice, however, overall, in terms of cooling it just does not do what I need it to. I either got a defective unit or it just doesn't hold up. Also, in repackaging the unit I realized that the bottom of the box was completely separate and just taped on. It looks like it was repurposed from another box so I think this was definitely a defective unit or a used unit/ something that was resold. I really wanted to like this, especially so I didn't have to go through the trouble of returning, but sadly it was super disappointing and not worth the over $500.

I can't give an honest review of the unit itself because it was broken when it arrived. The box was crushed on the bottom. It's definitely too heavy to pick up so someone dragged it across the ground. When the box was opened, the bottom of the unit was cracked and one of the wheels was completely broken off. We called Best Buy to exchange it. We were told we had to wait 24-48 hours for an email confirmation to bring the unit to the store. In the email we had the option to return by mail. Since the box weighs 80lbs we thought it best to pay the $20 for UPS Ground shipping so we didn't have to lug it back to the store. A week later and we are still waiting on communication from Best Buy and the replacement unit.

I like the unit. The clips did not work on my metal frame unit. Install is east though with my widow frame in a mid rise building in NYC I needed to McGyver a sistem to raise the base of the window panel. My only negative is while I love the WiFi control you can’t remotely set just dehumidify. It also is just as loud as my 5 year old Lg unit

Love this AC. Love that I can activate or shut it down via my iPhone using LGThinQ or by my Alexa Echo. Though the box says 450 square ft (not 501) it works fine for my space

2nd one we own. works great for the house! in our "A" frame having 2 of these make it so much more bearable.

Works great to cool our family room and kitchen. Have one in our living room as well. Together effectively cool our entire first floor (around 1500 sq ft)

Keeps my bedroom very comfortable during the heat.Short term answer to broken central AC .
