The sound took some getting used to but the room (large master bedroom) is nice and cool in less than an hour.

First one that shipped was broken on arrival, both LG and BestBuy said 5 weeks to get someone it to fix it, so I returned it and bought the same one again. The one I ended up with works great in or 350sqft living room. A bit loud with the fan turned up and the fan makes it so the cool air comes out at a 45 degree angle from the unit instead of directly out of the front.

This does a fine job of cooling the room, but it is incredibly loud. I reached out to LG to ask about the noise and it seems like I'll need to get service for this thing eventually. Also, it shoots water everywhere. I have to sleep on the side of the bed farthest from it to avoid getting sprayed, and when I wake up I have to towel down the wall which will be drenched. So you need a very large space to keep this as anything within a few feet of it will get wet. There isn't anything about this or how to fix it online anywhere. I drained the unit and ran the autoclean many times, but it's still spraying everything in my bedroom right now. I figure I'm stuck with this thing for the rest of the summer since it weighs 100 pounds and I'm not sure what to do about getting it replaced. But definitely don't spend $500 on this thing.

This product Heats and cools a large size room in a minimal amount of time. It is easy to install and operate.

I looooooove this unit! My house unit wasn't working so well so I bought this. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it's loud. But hey, I'd rather it be loud than be sweating lol

I have mine in a hot attic, so it keeps the area around it cool, but not really beyond that. Hopefully it works better in normal rooms

Cools much better than expected, cools my living room, hallway and dinning room, and with some fans it cools the bedrooms.

My only critique is that the manual says to press a combination of buttons on the remote to activate the cleaning/draining function. But that doesn't work. It will only drain if you have the Auto Clean option set and you use the remote to turn off.

I bought this item back in November. Everything work great.

The household a/c will need replaced later this year, but the LG portable kept my bedroom/ home office cool and cozy for comfortable sleeping all summer long.

I had one of these units and 2 months later summer kicked in. The exhaust had 58 degrees but room only dropped by 10 degrees in over 24 hours. 86 this morning outside with 76 inside and humid. I have a small 5,300 window unit that works great but looses when temp goes above 90 in a 19x19 garage that's insulated. The LG 14K unit should of turned garage into icebox.
