easy too install. works great. purchased this for my husband who likes to watch movies on his computer. he installed it in no time and was watching his favorite movies.

Finally had to buy a new pc & of course this means new printers,scanners & CD a burner. Went to BestBuy as always as they have had the best deals, prices & product & checked a few unites out. I found this Blu Ray DvD/CD burner-reader to have what I needed. I really didn't need Blue Ray but with BR being marketed, nice to have the option to play BR discs on my pc if I want or bounce them to my TV from my pc with a HD cable. Used it a few times to burn data & a couple of music discs & was pretty much an easy set up with install, haven't gone thu all programs it came with yet but need to get a coupe programs that didn't come with this as I need to convert mp4 & mpg vid files to be able to burn to DVD format. I also like this unit over the other lite weight or portable unites as they need 2 USB cables, one of them extra to power unit, this one has an actual AC power cable that for me was one of the plus's to buying this. Reviews seemed good & it was on sale for less than $100 reg $149. so happy with price & what I get for my money vs other units with this one. & with any of this tech stuff, time will tell if it lasts, LG ha been good to me over te years so we'll see !

This drive is very fast and very liable in a really recommend it to anybody. It will save you a lot of time.

My first desktop disc drive. It was easy to set up and works faster than any drive that I am used to.

With the external USB 3.0 connection it is fast and reliable.Great Product.

If speed is your main concern go for it. This drive is very fast and quiet. My only wish would be a slot loading mechanism instead of a tray.

Reads, writes, copies, burns as advertised.No coasters made with any disc (blu or dvd) yet. Looks good setting under the iMac. Software may be great for the PC but none enclosed for the Mac. You'll need 3rd party software to watch blu ray, rip blu ray, and author blu ray. (note that you can burn with Apples' own "Burn" but that's about it. It's plug and play, usb3.0, a bit more expensive compared to other burners but it is faster than most. Plus the software may be awesome for PC, I didn't try it out, I purchased this for use with the iMac.

The LG - 16x External USB 3.0/2.0 Blu-ray Disc Double-Layer DVD RW/CD-RW Drive was easy to install and has been easy to use. I have used it to backup my BluRay movies including 3D movies onto blank 50gb BluRay discs.

I cannot fault this drive in any way yet. I purchased this for my 16 year-old daughter who is not especially computer literate. The drive does the good it was purchased for and allowed me to save a few dollars when purchasing her Toshiba Laptop. There really were not many other options available for burning Blue-rays. LG has my loyalty including this purchase.

This was not the most exciting purcase or one with any wow factor but it does the job it is supposed to do. Not the fasrest drive but far more than the slowest drive. I purcased it because it deals with a superior number of formats and DL Blu Ray was important for me to make large storage on one disc.

Very capable, super easy installation. I simply plugged it in and was off an running. I have successfully burned discs that my TV's blu ray players can read and play. Highly recommended.

I've used this device under the following conditions, and it has performed excellently every time: - PC running Windows 7 (USB 2.0/3.0 interfaces) - Mac running OS X (USB 2.0 interface) - Mac running Windows 8.1 (USB 2.0 interface) - PC running Windows 8.1 (USB 2.0 interface) - PC running Windows Server 2012 R2 (USB 2.0/3.0 interfaces) PnP has worked well and disc writes are super fast. Rips of discs have been great too. When ripping a disc that has some flaws, the drive has slowed down to get a better read. The resulting image has been fully functional.

Top notch external blu-ray burner. Fast speed excellent reliability.

My internal burner died and I didn't feel like going through the effort of opening up the case and replacing it... I had available USB 3.0 ports so this was a snap to get going, plugged it in and started burning a Bluray disk within minutes.

Easy to use and pretty quick! Really happy with the burner.

Works as expected, quieter than expected, burns quickly

I bought this drive specifically because it burns the M-Disc, which it does without any issues. There are some less-expensive burners out there, but this model had just the right features and really wasn't expensive at $139 (AND it just went on sale for $114!!)

I use this on our iMac and it has been great. Most frequently to convert movies. Speed is incredible, while the device is quiet. Only down side is it is pretty big and requires power and USB connection.

I bought the DVD/BR/CD burner to backup older burned CD data discs (family pictures/movies) that were scratched. This burner read most of the discs, but the discs that were really bad were totally unreadable. Burning new data cd's is fast with this burner.

Purchased tower from Craigslist that needed optical drive. Bought this because of the usb3.0 . Fast. Also will work with my smaller laptops that don't have cd drives. Just wish the unit was trimmed down in size some.
