Great unit. The measurements are on pount and the unit itself blows nice cold air, minimal sound, and the air flow gets all corners of my house. I have a 2 bed one bath and i can feel the cool air throughout my house. If your hestitating....dont! Get his unit and get the geek squad warranty!

AC works great. Had to return the first one because it came with multiple large dents. Packaging undamaged so damage was done at factory and shipped that way. Scratch had touch up paint on it. Had delivered to my house. Had to return to store. No issues there. Cools my whole house in no time. Like the Alexa app feature.

I had a 15000 btu lg that got damaged and quite working bought this 18000 and it doesn’t cool as quick as the 15000 did I’m very disappointed. Our house is only 850 square feet and I thought getting a bigger unit would cool faster but it doesn’t. It’s nice that it’s quiet compared to the other one but that’s it. It was bent up on the inside by the coils but the housing was not bent so had to be bent at the factory not during shipping. After running all afternoon it mad it to 79 degrees in the house when it was 101 outside and now it is 77 in the house and it’s 74 outside. Our 15000 kept it 72 in the entire house I should have just bought the same one again.

It's not Best Buy's fault that this AC was damaged upon delivery. It was shipped from Texas to Pembroke Pines, Florida by a 3rd party transporter, UPS. It appears the unit was dropped, tossed about, and not transported in a professional manner. Best Buy promptly refunded my account and I eventually purchased the same AC from Home Depot for $100 less and received it within 3 days.

Ac will turn of if extremely hot what a joke! Buy a old style unit not these newer inverters type.

So far so good after 2 months. Great performance. However, it makes all kind of funny noises. It starts up slow and sounds like a airliner engine spooling up. For the first two days I thought there was a 737 starting right outside the window. Sometimes when it shuts down it makes a sound like there is potato in a clothes drying as it winds down. When the unit is powered on directly or the remote it always reverts to the “Energy Saver” mode which means when the temperature is met and the system is idle it fires up the every minute or two to cycle some air over it’s internal temperature probe to get a good temperature sample. I guess to second-guess it’s own thermostat. But each of these test cycles causes the fan to spool up (cleared to taxi to runway 8) and then spool back down (wait until the captain turns off the fasten seatbelt sign and the cabin doors are open before accessing the overhead bins). It’s just very different having something doing this all the time right behind my recliner. I try to change the mode to “Cool” instead of “Energy Saver” so the unit behaves a wee bit more normal without the incessant air cycling. Also, the control panel could use some backlighting of sorts as it’s impossible to read the buttons in the dark without a flashlight or phone light. The remote is handier than I expected too. I linked the unit via wifi to my LG TV via LG ThinQ. Why? I don’t know. It really doesn’t do anything except if I drill down in menus on the TV it tells me whether the AC is on or off. That’s not very useful information when I can hear and feel whether the AC is on. There is no control capability or temperature monitoring through the LG ThinQ app.

This thing is huge! And make sure you have a 240 outlet before you buy this, or know a good electrician. Finally got this in during the hottest part of summer and within 15 minutes it had taken down the humidity in the house significantly. Has no issues cooling 1000 sq ft. Energy Saver is great and doesn’t lessen the cooling/drying ability. Great purchase!

First off, I live in MIami Beach - where window ACs are a must! My condo already had the LG Unit and I liked it. Not sure how old it was but I had it over four years. Started making a fan noise. Replaced it with the exact same model. Love it! Easy install because all I had to do was use the same existing AC case and slip it in. Electrical bill went down almost 10% The best part - this model is DRAINLESS! Not sure how the "technology" works - but it is amazing! I recommend this for anyone thinking of switching to an LG model! I bought mine online from BestBuy. Didn't even have to bother with picking it up.

Once you get this AC working it works well and quietly. Out of the box tho, you had better be crafty. Spent 2 hours setting it up, then turned it on the first time and the fan sounded like something was caught in it. Very slow, and sounded like the actual fan was broken. I called Geek Squad, who were no help aside from "We can have someone pick it up. Someone will call you in 10 business days" So, I popped it out of the case to take a look. It turns out that the O ring that holds the fan to the spindle was never installed properly. The fan literally fell off inside the machine. After messing with it for an hour, I got it to work properly.

Great AC! Quiet, cool and efficient! Almost cools my entire house

I would purchase again. For a wall unit, it is smooth sounding and not too loud.

Love my air conditioner it’s easy to use and have a remote where to can adjust the temperature where you sit keeps the house very cold

The AC is great but the delivery was terrible. The first two that I purchased had to be returned due to damage to the AC. The boxes that they came in were obviously damaged and they still tried to sell them off. Best Buy needs to have a better quality control on their deliveries.
