Many appreciate the features, performance, and price point, along with the capacity and design. This thing is huge. End of story. If you find yourself with over 2 cubic feet of nothing, and need something, this is your thing. In store it looked fine, got it home, and BOOM, biggest microwave ever. Probably works pretty well, returned it asap.

Heats up food unevenly, we just have too add extra time to the food to avoid that but then food ends up too hot ... it matches our stove & fridge so I can live with it (but it's really annoying at times) I do not recommend this microwave

Decent microwave and don't really have any complaints other than I don't like the quick start button - its not central or in an easy to identify location.

Had to replace an older broken one. This one had great reviews. It's working well so far. Nothing extraordinary about it though. Pretty standard features. Works as advertised.

The microwave is great, cooks well and evenly. The thing I don't like is the clock is on an energy saver mode, and shuts off after a few minutes. So if the microwave is not in use, you look at a blank clock screen!

I needed a new microwave and well, bought the "best" they had at the time. Options were limited. I do know there are better microwaves out there. I feel that it was overpriced.

    Still my favorite microwave

We love this microwave as it is one of the only ones that fit a tall coffee cup for re-heating. I also love how easy it is to clean due to the curved inside, easy wipe down! This is used multiple times every day as there is just about always multiple people home. Hence the light bulb has gone out & the door sensor sometimes does not work. But I like it so much that I am on here looking for the manual to see what part to order to fix it.

Don't get me wrong it was a very nice microwave but it was too big for my kitchen so if you have a nice big space where the microwave could fit I would really recommend this one. Very modern look

My Sharp lasted 8-10 years before it started making a whining sound a couple months ago. So I was not surprised when it stopped working. Needing a replacement right away I began looking at ratings and reading reviews on various store websites on the internet. After much research I decided to shop at the two stores nearest me: Walmart and Best Buy. The Walmart I went to was low or out of stock on full size microwaves so I went to Best Buy. I already had this LG in mind walking into Best Buy because I saw it on their website. But I was not sure whether to buy the extended warranty. As a rule, I usually don't buy warranties but...then I read this article off my smartphone while in the store (http://www.cbsnews.com/news/are-extended-warranties-worth-the-money/) and decided to get the 2 year warranty which was 15% of the $164.99 sale price. Best Buy warranties generally cost more than Walmart's; but are better in my opinion. Once I had a defective LED TV with a Walmart warranty. Walmart wanted to replace my 1080p TV with a 760p because the 1080p TV was no longer sold - fortunately I convinced Walmart to refund the price of the TV minus the cost of the warranty of course. Would have rather have been given a comparable 1080p TV. I have had better experiences with Best Buy; but you need to be aware of the different types of extended warranties they offer. Best Buy has two types I know of. One will outright replace a defective product (e.g. some Xbox accessories) and with the other warranty the Geek Squad will try to fix your item and if they can't fix it they will replace it. Since I have not had any experience with the Geek Squad I decided purchasing the 2 year warranty would be enough to shake out any problems, and I would rather deal with Best Buy than with the manufacturer's warranty. The microwave is much quieter, more powerful, and has more options than my Sharp did (for about the same amount of money). For me it is worth paying a little more for a full size, more powerful microwave when I consider how much it will be used by my family. Once you get past the initial sting of the higher price tag you will be thankful you did. I just got it and am still learning how to use it. But given the fact I needed a replacement microwave asap, and given the 605 reviewers average 4.5/5.0 stars rating, I would buy this one again. The 1250 Watts is more powerful than my Sharp 1100 watt and I have already learned that we need to get used to cooking food for a shorter length of time; which is a good thing when people are lined up waiting to use it. The LG has more features and has a larger capacity than my Sharp did. I like it a lot; but hey it's just a microwave - something you can't live without right? My recommendation is that it is worth paying extra to get a better microwave, you won't regret it in the long term.

Like it but buttons are hard to read.

I bought this microwave because it is a Consumer Reports' recommended product and I've had good experiences with other LG products that I have purchased. I like that the exterior is considerably smaller than my previous microwave. The smaller exterior does not compromise the ample interior. My 2 quart Pyrex mixing bowl fits inside the microwave with no problem and there's still enough room to leave my wooden spoon in the bowl. My Pyrex casserole pans easily fit inside and are able to rotate on the tray with no problems. My only negative comments would be: 1) The control panel buttons are really hard to read because they are sort of light gray and are on a dark back ground. The numbers and letters need to be enhanced to make them more visible. Consumer Reports noted the visibility problem in their review of this microwave but still identified the oven as a Recommended product. 2) The interior cavity is dark gray. While the dark gray looks cleaner, it causes the interior lighting to be dimmer. A brighter interior light would provide better visibility.

The microwave works great, but when it's not in use the screen goes blank so you can't see the time. It says it has a setting to keep it on, but it's not working.
