Speakers on my old TV were shot because of cranking the sound up. Figured I'd try to avoid that with my new TV. Haven't had this thing much above 18 for TV watching and 35 for listening to music. Subwoofer makes things boom. Live in a small house and cant see me ever having this thing turned up past 50 for any reason.

I was looking for a sound bar for my tv and ended up with this one. Had to return the first one as it was rusted for whatever reason. This bar and speaker Are OK but not very loud at all. Still looking for one with better sound and base. Pretty easy set up.

My aging Sony theatre system was no long hitting on all cylinders, so I decided to purchase a sound bar, subwoofer, and rear surround speakers. LG offered just what I was looking for at a great price (approx $450). Set up was a breeze and LG is excellent at making connection and use automatic. My TV had no issues finding and syncing with the soundbar. I was off and running. At first, I was pleased with the enhanced surround sound that I was getting. I watched a nature show and picked up some amazing sounds from different speakers along with music coming from the rear speakers and narration from the front, all very impressive. I also connected to the bluetooth to play some music from my phone and again I found a great sound that filled the room. Great start, but the flaws that appeared soon after were too much to overcome. For one, you are not going to get much boom if you are looking for bass. I am not overly into bass, but an occasional boom during an explosion that provides some reverberation that you can feel is half the fun of having a subwoofer. It just never really came. There were times I actually checked to make sure it was in fact on and kicking. It was...just very little mustard there. I could have overlooked this if it was the only con, but the next one was a deal breaker, cutting in and out. Okay, so I'm not going to exaggerate and say that it happened all of the time, but I could fairly state that the rear speakers or the subwoofer cut out about once every ten minutes. So, during an hour long show, you can expect about 6 moments where you are left with interrupted sound. The interruptions would self correct (or reconnect) after only a second, but it is enough to really dampen the experience, particularly when you have company over and you are all hanging onto the dialogue (cough GOT final episodes). I had to return this guy. I try to not read too much into the negative reviews and look at the body of work/bulk of the reviews, but in this case I should have listened to the several who stated this very issue. I can't recommend this to you unless you are okay with the shortcomings, but I still believe there is a decent audio system out there at this price point that doesn't cut out and packs a little more boom.

Really makes movies sound much better then thru the TV sound. Easy to hook up.
