I would call it a TV sound enhancement, not a 'surround sound'. I finally broke down and bought the rear speakers for $170 more. Which really irritated me. Should have some package price. However, when you buy the rear speakers as well it sounds decent. It was very easy to link up to Television with the optical cable. The line of sight (remote to reach soundbar) has to be pretty clear, which is also annoying. I have to put the soundbar under my television so nobody has to stand up or reach low to turn the volume up or down.

The bass is deep and rich and the sound quality is good with the virtual X setting. Would recommend if you are on a budget.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this with a 65" 4k tv because our experience was that the newer tv's have sound quality issues. This part of the purchase was a waste of money. The standard sound with the tv works far better than this sound bar. So much so that we disconnected the sound bar and am using the tv sound alone. It's located in a smallish living room and my wife and I were constantly asking each other, "what did he say", because the sound was always so low... and you could never get it to any reasonable level. We played with the settings, went online to figure out how to troubleshoot.... anything you can think of and it still is greatly inferior quality to the tv's native sound. If my wife hadn't already thrown the box away, we would take it back. And it doesn't matter what you're playing through - TV, DVD, STB... none of it had any sound that was worth listening too. Just a bad purchase and will not buy another of this brand again.

Great Surround Sound System

It came up under the top ten specials of the day so I ordered it. When he opened it he was ecstatic & said it was the one he was looking at. It was the first gift I gave him that he setup and used the game day

Purchased this soundbar while at Best Buy when I went in to get the lower model. He s did his research, the best part about this one is the enclosed speakers.
