Great sound , easy to use, works with everything in the house, people ask me all the time about it

I bought this LG sound bar (SJ5Y-S) to help fill the room with a bit more sound. I would say it has enough power to fill a small room, such as a bedroom. Overall I am satisfied with the sound bar. One thing that could have been better is the ability to use all remote functions with the LG magic remote. Only volume can be controlled with the magic remote, so you need to have both remotes handy at times.

I bought this one to replace an old unit. Lots of options, and the sound is very clear. Can get very loud if you want to.

Sound bar and sub connected effortlessly. Easy to figure out the controller. Sound is good and really fills the room.

My fiance likes to use this when we watch movies and play call of duty. It sounds amazing it can get really loud.

Excellent sound, good value. Caution: If replacing previous model, this one is a couple of inches longer.

Overall this soundbar and subwoofer are decent for the price. My big issue is the BT functionality. Random people can connect to your system while you're using it (maybe even when it's off). I would much rather prefer a system you need to manually pair/accept with a 4 digit code. Make sure BT lock is on immediately so there's no unwanted disruption. I'm not 100% sure if others can still connect while using BT after lock is on. Someone I don't know connected to my system to blast some horrible music. If you're wondering if it was a friend or guest it wasn't. I do not consider anyone a friend and I do not have guests over that are not my family members. I'll be purchasing a more expensive system later with a more secure pairing method. Anyways I connected to theirs and blasted a sexually explicit song. Needless to say they haven't done it again or can't anymore. I always disconnect and "forget devices" on my iPhone that I don't own or use daily. Be considerate of others property.

Bought this for my wife's craft room and she couldn't be happier. Great sound and easy to set up and use.

High quality with multiple connection options. The only point hesitancy that I would suggest is concerning your living situation. I live in a townhouse connected to other homes; granted I had the woofer against a wall (although not a shared wall), I had my neighbor ask me to turn my bass on my tv down (I was watching Chance...) and even at minimum values for bass and woofer, it still shakes hard. However, for the review, great, quality product.

Big story short - SH3K is far better than this. I compared this (bought for $229) with SH3K ($149), it failed in multiple aspects. I expected this to perform better but it didn't. It looks good, has better features - HDMI ARC, Optical, Bluetooth etc. The Bar - First impression - awesome. It had a very good mid range and treble. They reproduce sound very well. I'm all happy with the sound bar but not with the Sub. Virtual surround isn't as good as SH3K. The Sub - Muddy and hollow. There were few times it kind of disconnected and came back. It has voice interference, it acts as if it's an extra speaker which kills the Bar's performance. Also I can't feel the bass in low volume. May be the problem is it's smaller si ze compared to SH3K. It would have been better if they provided the same size. I do not recommend this. I would suggest you to buy SH3K - it's far better and you'd also same some dollars. You can thank me later!

Needed surround sound for my LG tv, this was an inexpensive choice and I couldn't be happier.

Sound quality is pretty good but can notice it sounds like it's missing something. With just the 2 and 1 sound bar with subwoofer i wasn't getting the full movie Cinema quality sound from it at all you really need to buy the LG rear speaker kit to go with it unfortunately to get full effects . I Wished I would have known that when I purchased my the lg 2in1 sound system cuz Best Buy was offering a great deal on the two and one sound bar and if you ordered the rear speaker kit at the same time as the 2 and 1 i could of saved even more the rear kit regular price is 129.00 but could of got it for only 59.00 if bought together. So i now have to pay more for them but got lucky cause bestbuy had sale on kit it was129.00 now was 79.00 so i bought them so that now my surround sound system will have that true movie cinema quality that i was looking for now my surround sound is completed.

I installed this with a lg plasma tv. I am hard of hearing and I wanted better sound. I also got the rear surround sound speakers. I hooked it up with the digital output connection. I had to change the output to PCM which loses some of the true surround sound. The sound is much better than the tv sound and I am able to hear it better. Aesthetically my wife liked it as it is small and matches our black bedroom set.

Great full sound because of the subwoofer. Much better than an old model without sub.

This is a great setup for my theatre room, clear highs and a great sub with the lows.

Crystal clear sound and great value for the cost. !

This sound bar literally blew us away, adding the sub woofer was such a bonus!
