It has ample bass response and the treble has considerable range. Enough so that movie dialog can be clear. This may not be audiophile equipment but it will bring a room to life where movies are concerned for an acceptable ptice. Certainly preferable to any factory TV I've heard. ARC support through hdmi allows your TV remote to control the sound bar volume.
