This was a Fathers' Day gift to my husband. The sound is almost the same as our TV. Not sure if we got a defective unit as it's not very loud and you have to put your ear up to subwoofer to hear it at all. We were going to take it back but missed our 14 day window so we're stuck with it. I would not recommend

An audio engineer cautions you, do not buy this. LG has managed to design a simple 2.1 soundbar in which the wireless subwoofer cuts out intermittently, despite its placement less than 2 meters from the bar. Spending a little more money on a soundbar that works, and wasn’t designed and manufactured by LG, is smart. Spending a little less money on a soundbar that doesn’t do its only job is not smart. Please, support brands that hire actual engineers who design products for actual users. Or, don’t. If you love audio that loses low-frequency content due to subwoofer drop-out every 5-10 seconds, definitely buy this. Or, send $50 to a senior in college designing a senior engineering project that only has to work once in front of the professor. That would be money better spent because at least you woild have supported a college student. LG should be embarrassed by this soundbar but they are not. The execs are toasting each other and placing new bets on what else they can get us suckers to buy.

With the subwoofer powered on. The wireless connection keeps dropping and reconnecting with an. E X T R E M E L Y. LOUD POPPING SOUND. It almost sounds like the subwoofer is going to explode EVERYTIME the connection drops & reconnects!!! After reading several other reviews from other purchasers. Coupled with being given the runaround by the bestbuy robo- phone system. I decided to leave my VERY UNHAPPY REVIEW!!!!

Sounded okay been an lg guys for a long time but this was a faulty item and mine stopped working right after the first hour. Bestbuy made it so difficult to exchange or even refund the item now im stuck with something that dosent work.

HDMI arc unusable

Using the HDMI arc connection, it continuously cuts out almost making the sound bar unusable. Have reset it, used a different HDMI chord etc. Seems like you get what you pay for
