Great deal on washer. Some cosmetic dents but works well and we don't mind the character flaws (dents) .

Although LG is not cheap, its worth every penny. The washer is great for a small wash area or closet in condo or apartment. Stacks great with the compatible dryer (you don't want the separate stacking unit from LG - it only works with the full size washer/dryer.. the stacking unit that comes with the product works just fine.) When both the washer and dryer are running and I close the door to the wash area, you hear almost nothing. Clothes come out fresh and clean (be sure to use the proper HE type soap.) Easy to use controls with lots of options. The only downside is I have them in a wash closet and they are so good looking they should be out where guests can seem them.. THEY LOOK GREAT!!!

This washing machine works as advertised in the 2 months I've had it. No problems whatsoever. It's quiet, has more than enough options for me, and gets my clothes perfectly clean. Excellent choice for a small space. Although the washer can handle more clothes than you would expect given its small size, it is not designed for huge loads. It took a queen-sized bedspread with no problem. But if you have a big family, you may need something larger. It's an ultra-efficient front loader, so you have to bend over to move laundry in and out. And there is no pedestal designed for it by LG - I asked them. So if you can't manage the bending over part, get a top loader - not as efficient as this one, but may have easier access.
All in all, a great choice if you have a small to medium laundry requirement, and a small to medium space to put it in.
It qualified for Tier 2 rebates from PG&E and water company, which helped a lot to reduce the price.

I've only done four loads of laundry with this machine and, so far, I am very satisfied. It uses less water so there's a savings there. It spins so fast that it wrings even more water out of the laundry then an ordinary washer. Because of this it spends much less time in my dryer then with my previous washer, saving on gas.
I am very happy with this unit.
(Take your time reading the instructions and getting started, it gets easier. ALSO -- it comes with hoses, no need to buy a set)

I am very happy. I own a home for 14 years, I had replaced the washing machine twice in those years. I had purchase them from Sears. Sears is the worse in appliances, it is all plastic and they break within less than 3 years. This one from Best Buy there is no words to describe how wondenful it is & big. The best of this washer, inside is big, looks small in the picture, I guarantee onces you get it you will not be sorry. I just bought a new apartment and for sure I will get this washer for my new home.

Good washer little noisy

I just got the washer dryer unit for my condo today. Did my first load of laundry and noticed that the washer and the dryer both make rattling noises from the side of the unit as it spins. If i place my hand on the bottom side of the washer the noise stops but when i let go it continues to make the noise. It's a soft rattling noise so I can live with it, but for the price i paid i'm a little disappointed. As for everything else it does a great job at washing clothes. The cycle takes the same amount of time as my parents GE front load.

This machine is infinitely better than the dead Kenmore it replaces. Compact washers seem to be leaving the marketplace with only 2 choices at BB.
Following Consumer Report's lead I did not even consider the larger-on-the-outside/smaller-on-the-inside GE model.
I am satisfied with my choice and very impressed by the way the machine calibrates itself to the size of each wash load.

I am NOT happy with this washer. I was hesitant to buy a front loader but the sales rep at Best Buy assured me there was no problems with the smell and water sitting in the basin as with previous front load models. Since the day that plugged it in and ran it to clean it, it has smelled. I've used four different types of HE Washer cleaner. You alwasy have to leave the door open, or it just gets worse. My whole laundry room stinks! My washer is supposed to be clean, so my clothes get clean. I should have to "wash" my washer.

DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHER!

I bought this LG washer on Feb. 28. It was delivered later that week, and it has been DEFECTIVE from the beginning. When it entered the spin cycle, it shook so violently it jumped six inches across the floor! I called LG who sent a repairman. He said he thought the drum and suspension were broken, and he needed to order those parts. He came back this weekend with the parts and spent SIX HOURS taking the whole machine apart in my living room and putting in the new parts. IT STILL DOES NOT WORK! When I called LG again, I asked for a replacement machine. They said all they could do was send the repairman back again. I told them it was unacceptable, that I had paid close to $1000 for a brand-new machine, not a Frankenstein one of refurbished parts! They still refused. I have since found hundreds of consumer complaints on the web about LG washers. I wish I had read them before my purchase. So don't make my mistake - DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHER!

Don't buy this washer!!!

I purchased this washer on the assumption that LG provides quality appliances. Boy was I wrong. After spending about $1000 on the washer, and owning it for just over a year, it failed. The electric board and the motor were faulty and needed to be replaced. LG referred me to a technician who was great, and fixed it, but LG wouldn't offer and assistance. The fix costed quite a bit of money, and for a single guy who doesn't do a ton of laundry, I couldn't believe they wouldn't extend the warranty for me. Poor quality product, and poor customer service.

Does not heat up the water

If you do not have a line of hot water coming to the machine, it will NOT do a warm or hot water wash. Seriously? Yes, unlike my 10 year old washer, will not.
Now, I understand that this "feature" is part of being energy efficient, and I am fine with that ... AS LONG as you make it very clear to prospective buyers!!!
Even the handbook says the hot water line is "optional". Seriously, optional? Do you know anyone doing strictly cold washes?
For the rest, it is quiet, seems well built.
