Plenty of capacity in a very small footprint. Cleans clothes great. Easy to use. And spinning cycles are outstanding, greatly reducing our dryer times. I don't know why people need such large washers. This can fit a full size load and clean it thoroughly and gently. Plenty of options for all types of clothing. Can run very small loads and washer senses load and adjusts accordingly. Very quiet and very smooth, but... the key is proper installation. BB contractors unpacked it, put it in place, and did absolutely nothing to balance it. Washer vibrated unacceptably. My husband came home and looked at it and just leaning on it could see that the feet had not been adjusted properly at all. It was rocking. Another call to BB, another contractor. They came, did their thing in 10 minutes and were gone. Once again, they did not follow the instructions, which my husband verified. Wasn't even close to level. You should use a level in all positions on the top of the washer. My husband spent an hour on the floor re-adjusting all 4 adjustable feet and now it is perfectly level, perfectly quiet, and perfectly spinning. Once you are balanced, this is an outstanding washer. We probably do 4 loads per week or more and after 2 months, seems to be doing great! Saves water, saves energy, too!

I purchased this washer (and matching dryer) after months of searching for a compact washer/ventless dryer. This unit had the best reviews and I trust LG more so than other brands. It was just installed last night and I've already used it thrice. It uses little water and spins the clothes fast and leaves the clothes damp for quick drying. My only gripes are that it is a bit noisey (which isn't that big of a deal), and has so many features that I get a little overwhelmed picking wash cycle. And I love the little tune it plays when the clothes are done!

I chose this washer because it had a larger capacity than any other washers of its size. This little machine fit perfectly in my limited space, and it works like a charm--Easy to use, plenty of cycle options, cleans very well, gentle on the clothes, and easily handles bulky items. A full set of sheets plus a few smaller items is no problem, neither is a load of sweatshirts.

This is the best washer I have ever used. I need and under counter unit as my washer and dryer are located in my kitchen. It is the most quiet washer I've ever seen, but the most amazing feature is that it weighs the clothes and measures the time and water level appropriately. In addition, it has a large capacity. I also received $100 rebate from my local utility company for the purchase. I would highly recommend this machine.

Pretty happy with this model. We've had it for a couple of months. We have the machine in our attached pantry and you can barely hear it in the kitchen. Uses very little water but if you use too much detergent, you have soap spots, so you might have to rinse again. That said, making slight adjustments has been pretty easy and the wash time is short. Many nice features too. So, saves water and saves money on detergent, runs quietly and efficiently. Love it. P.S. We had an all-in-one Equator for many years but it finally died. This is an excellent replacement.

First one was delivered damaged but was replaced after a call to LG. This washer has everything I wanted. Front loader, low water/energy consumption, fits in a tight space and can close the door! Small washer does medium sized loads which works for me. Chime at the end of the cycle, just like the laundry fairy has arrived.

Bought this unit for my NYC apartment after doing my research, and its worth the price. It is very quiet and my clothes are uber clean now. Forget sending it out and buy this machine instead.

I love this machine. It is easy to use, cleans clothes well and spins them so dry, my dryer finishes in half the time, saving energy. The tune at the end of the cycle makes me smile. I was worried it would not be big enough, but it is no smaller than my old one which was sufficient for a family of 4.

QuestionVibration concernI need to install the LG 2.7 cu front loader in an 1890 three story house on the top floor. I am concerned that the floor may not be solid enough to deal with the vibration of this model and will disturb the people downstairs. The floor has ceramic tiles. Just how much vibration does this unit generate> Should I consider a top loader instead?

- Answer With LG's Direct Drive Motor and LoDecibel™ Quiet Operation, this technology creates quieter washer cycles by reducing vibration and noise. To minimize noise and vibration, the washer MUST be installed on a solidly constructed floor. Please note that the floor must be strong and rigid enough to support the weight of the washer when fully loaded, without flexing or bouncing. If your floor has too much flex in it, you may need to reinforce it to make it more rigid. A floor that is adequate for a top-loading washer may not be rigid enough for a frontloading washer due to the difference in the spin speed and direction. If the floor is not solid, your washer may vibrate and you may hear and feel the vibration throughout your house.

- Answer Hi Wet wes, Thank you for your interest in the LG 2.3 cu.ft. 9-Cycle Ultra Capacity Compact Washer, Model # WM1355HW. Always remove items from the washer as soon as the cycle is completed. Leaving damp items in the washer can cause wrinkling, color transfer, and odor. Run the TUB CLEAN cycle regularly to remove detergent buildup and other residue. This washer has a special cycle, TUB CLEAN, to remove inside buildup of detergent residue which can occur in the wash tub or drum and lead to mildew or musty smell. Open the door and remove any clothing in the wash drum. - Open the dispenser drawer. - Add liquid chlorine bleach or tub cleaner to Liquid Fabric Softner compartment. Some powder or tablet tub cleaners which are manufactured for this purpose can be used. (NOTE : Do not add any laundry detergent or fabric softener to the drawer when using TUB CLEAN.) - If using powder cleaner add powder cleaner to the main wash compartment of the drawer. - If using tablet cleaner add tablet cleaner to the wash drum directly. (NOTE : Do not add tablet cleaner to the drawer.) Close the drawer and washer door. Select TUB CLEAN and press START. NOTE : It is recommended that TUB CLEAN should be repeated monthly. If mildew or musty smell already exists, run TUB CLEAN for 3 consecutive weeks. After TUB CLEAN is complete or when the washer is not used, leave the washer door open for better ventilation and drying inside of the washer. To prevent floors from getting wet, you can use a drip pan or use towels...IFV
