We have a fixed-size area that needed a replacement fridge. Many large fridges are 33" deep, too large for our area, but this one was only 31" deep and fit perfectly. Some reviewers have noted that the doors don't have as many shelves as they would like. I bought another small one from the LG parts supplier (part number MAN62449601 - BASKET,DOOR) for about $10 and added it on the right-hand door at the bottom. I moved the larger milk shelf up under the butter tray and now we have adequate shelving. See attached picture. One really nice thing is that this uses a linear compressor, so you NEVER hear the fridge. It's just there without being noticed. Nice! As far as the rest of the fridge goes, the ice maker is great. I doesn't have the gross kind of ice slices that other ones make, these are more cube-like. I like the filtered water on the door and overall the appearance is nice. Typical with the bottom freezers, this has the deep baskets so it's not as easy to see everthing like in a side-by-side freezer/fridge, but we haven't had any problems yet. Overall, we're really pleased with this fridge and would highly recommend it.

No complaints on the refrigerator so far. Ice maker and water are great, filter works perfectly... Lots of room with configurable shelving. I was skeptical of the freezer drawer on the bottom but I've learned to love it. LED lighting inside and on the door. Plenty of configuration for temp settings on the door. Locks to keep the little ones from flooding the kitchen, or wherever you keep your refrigerator. No judgement passed.

Our choices of refrigerators were limited due to our kitchen's configuration. The spot for the fridge was relegated to a corner and the proximity of the framing of the pantry door limited the size of the left hand opening door. This fridge was one of four which fit the bill. We wanted a white refrigerator with in door ice and water.

Love my new fridge, it is gorgeous and very big with a lot of storage options. I also like the fact that if the door is ajar, it beeps to let me know...

We purchased the new LG French Door refrigerator on 11/25/2014 from Best Buy through on-line and it was delivered 11/28/2014 after owning one GE Side by Side refrigerator for 29 years. The Best Buy price was same as other appliance dealers, but the Best Buy delivery service was the fastest. At first we were delighted with slick looking and roomier than we expected unit. Then, it started with noises louder than our 29 years old GE refrigerator. About second or third day, the High Pitching ear piercing sounds went up in the evening and it goes up at any time these days. We looked-up Owner’s manual for trouble shooting, it indicated to be “normal operation”. Then, we were visiting my son’s family in Georgia for a week during X-mas, and found out he happened to has exactly same refrigerator in their new house they moved in around April, 2014; their unit was very quiet almost no sound at all and they are happy with their unit. So we realized that we got the lemon. So when we got back our home I sent email to LG requesting for replacement on 12/27/2014. I am going to stop by the best buy 12/29 or 12/30/14 to inquire about possibility of replacement. I’ll keep inform you all of the progress.

We wouldn't go anywhere but Best Buy for a purchase like this, and for good reason! We found this LG French Door Refrigerator that met all of our needs.

A few days after the ref got installed, it was already showing an error message. The water dispenser and the ice maker stopped working. The error showed IS. Not a good ref.

Keeps food good and cold Ice and cold water are great

Purchased as open box. We have been very happy with it. We had a 16 year old GE over-under that was loud when it ran. This is significantly quieter, though you can hear it slightly when it's running, it is completely acceptable. I'm sound sensitive, and I've never complained about it. Storage room and layout is great. We like the in-door ice maker. If we know we're having a party, we'll either buy a bag of ice, or move some ice to a container in the freezer. Very, very happy we went to the French door "freezer on the bottom" format. I'm 6'4" tall, and I was tired of bending over every time I wanted something from the fridge. This layout is perfect.

We bought it about a month ago after searching reviews on several sites and on several brands. The space inside is very useable. I adjusted one of the shelves so I could put tall things on one side. I love the deli tray to put all the little stuff like packaged shredded cheese that seemed to get lost in my old fridge. The water in the door feature is our first time having one, and we use it all the time. I can even fill my tall water pitcher with it. The fridge runs very quietly, so much better than our old one. The only minor issue we have had is adjusting the temperature. The readout on the door doesn't match the interior temperature. We checked! We are still trying to adjust the temperature slowly to reach the ideal of 37 fridge/0 freezer. Best Buy delivery guys were super! They had to take off our front door to get the fridge in. Not a scratch anywhere as they carried it in. Replaced the door with no problems. In and out in 20 min.

No complaints. It's quiet, efficient, and lots of storage space. The water dispenser is awesome because it's designed in such a way that you can fill up any kind of container with water, including Tupperware or a dog bowl even, rather than just a normal glass of water like refrigerators typically allowed in the past.

Best fridge I've ever owned. The ice maker is really nice. The ice cubes are smaller than normal which is great. It has a convenient way to get the ice out for filling coolers. Ice capacity is more than most fridges which saves $ on buying ice for coolers. The ice and water dispensers are larger, so you can fill up larger cups, pitchers, etc.. The inside is layed out nice, with plenty of room for our family. The fridge had a small ding on the front, which is hard to even see, so I got a really great deal on it as well ($1100). We couldn't be happier with the refridgerator and Best Buy.

Looked around a ton and read a lot of reviews before settling on this one. I really liked the party ice feature where it makes ice twice as quick when you really need it as we host people a lot. I’ve used that setting a few times now and while it certainly isn’t instant, it took care of the job as I emptied the ice out and had it making a lot before the party. Excellent pull out drawer which works great for water bottles, beer, soda cans. Way more convenient than digging around the fridge shelves trying to find them. The fridge has a lot of space as well, our old fridge was packed and when we moved everything over we had a decent amount of spare room. Only drawback is that with only one shelf that can handle milk jugs, or even half gallons or bigger/taller jugs, you basically are stuck laying anything else over on its side, and forget about a gallon pitcher of tea, not tall enough anywhere other than the one milk drawer. That part sucks and it seems like they could have thought that through a bit more because we need two gallons of milk at least on hand, and now my tea pitcher we usually had with iced tea won’t fit anywhere so I have to store it in a bottle type container with a lid so it can lay on its side. Other than that fairly annoying inconvenience the fridge is working great, is super quiet, cools quickly and gets a good even temp everywhere (no frozen stuff on the back and less cool in the front like some fridges). Worth the investment!

We bought an open box/floor demo model and have been very pleased. I've read posts where people have complained about the noisey compressor. You can't even hear this unit run. The only way we know without opening the door is when it drops its next load of ice, and even that is muffled. Love our new fridge.

This is a terrific refrigerator! It was on sale and I got a great deal at Best Buy. Plus free delivery and they took away my old frig. The french door style is so spacious. I am so glad I upgraded to this style. I can put platter and large bowls in this refrigerator because the shelves are adjustable. I love not having to bend down to get produce out of the drawers. The freezer is very functional. Great Value. I love it!

This fridge had all the features we wanted in a fridge (water dispenser, ice maker, french door, good cubic feet) but didn't have so many features that the price was too much. My one knock on it is that the front of the fridge isn't magnetized. That might be a common feature of stainless steel - I'm not sure. It was a surprise when we went to hang up family pictures and kids' artwork. The side of the fridge saved the day!

I really do like this fridge. There are a couple of concerns I have though which is why I only gave it 4 stars. The ice machine/water stop serving when you open the right door. Something I will have to get use to- so i can't search the fridge as I fill a glass of water up. Also- lately my ice has been getting stuck, I have to open the ice bin and move it around. The ice bin/maker isn't very big either, just incase you're entertaining a lot- it might not be ideal. One last thing- the doors don't close tight on their own, so you always have to make sure to give it a little push- the fridge will beep and let you know the doors aren't shut. Other then those little details, it really is a nice fridge, i love the space and the look of it!

I like the space and the double doors, but there are some flaws. The ice maker is pretty small, it has trouble keeping up with our demand, and has frozen up several times in the 5 years that we have owned it. Also, the inside freezer drawer can be a pain and the wheels occasionally fall off making it even more difficult. Lastly, we are 5.5 years in and I have a service man on the way out to repair it. It is cooling, but barely. Not enough to keep food safe, and the freezer is no longer frozen.

I went from a side by side to this and I am very happy with it. Before buying this fridge I was looking at all the reviews and I found some bad and mostly good. Well I will say this this is so quiet, and it has so much space. We have a family of 5 and it’s perfect. People have said they hear humming sound, I don’t hear that at all. I will 100% recommend this fridge to anyone.
