Just got this refrigerator delivered about 10 days ago. It looks great and is well configured. Everything is working as it should. So far I'm quite pleased with this model. Time will tell how it holds up.

    DO NOT PURCHASE LG APPLIANCES

Terrible product and I will never purchase an LG appliance ever again. The compressor broke in 5 years, after 6 years the yodel loop leaked refrigerant and now my refrigerator is unrepairable. The yodel loop is covered under warranty, however LG is telling me it's a dead appliance and they will not offer anything else. They also charged almost $600 for "repairs" even though there was no repair to be done.

Would Never Buy Another LG Product Ever

Bought this fridge less then 2 years ago, haven't even made the last payment yet. The ice & water stopped working over a week ago. Had a repairman come out to fix it, he put it back together, it did not work. He called Tech Support, he was told it was the wrong part number, Tech support gave him a part number. The second time he came out to fix it, he ptu it back together, it did not work. He called Tech Support again, they said it was the wrong part number, it seems LG products are made in either Korea, China or Mexico and the control boards are not interchangeable. Spent an hour on the phone with customer service to find this out. The first Tech support person did not ask for the serial number so he did not know where it was made, so he was giving advise without knowing what he was talking about. After being on the phone for over 45 mins, was put on hold several times and then transfered without being told I was going to be transfered. I explained my situation again was then given the number to Escilated Services, they are supposed to help fix problems. I told my story a third time and all I was told was it is not under warranty and I need to work it out with the repair man. Escilated Services is supposed to help with problems, they did nothing about the poor Tech Support or the poor Customer Service, not even an apology, just "it is not under warranty". I was changing my kitchen over to all LG products, we have a dishwaher also, will never by another LG product again. I read mostly good reviews about this product on the Best Buy website, but recntly I read many other similar complaints about LG on another consumer website.

    Glad we purchased this refrigerator

This unit not only looks great, we love how bright the interior is and how many options we have for configuring the interior. Freezer compartment provide lots of storage room. The ice supply has been fine for our requirements, I only wish the water dispenser had a greater flow rate. That issue is too minor for me to grade this LG as anything but excellent.

    Large, Bright and Quiet

It is very large and you can organize very easily with the multiple shelves on the door and everything. The LED lights are only on the inside ceiling, but man they are bright as it really makes a difference. It is also very quiet...extremely quiet. I know some people had issues or whatever with it being too loud, but I can never hear the thing run and I have an open kitchen plan next to family room. Temperature rating is perfect with matching the temperature on the door setting with a portable thermometer in the fridge itself. I love it and LG makes good products. The Ice maker and water dispenser (although not very cold water) is great and does not drip.

    Good refrigerator but heavy.

The refrigerator has worked as advertised. Not as loud as some posters have complained. Sometimes the ice storage in the freezer at the bottom will slightly melt but nothing that would not make me recommend it. You can adjust the temp but on normal setting it should not happen. Very heavy. When they delivered it they did not put anything under the refrigerator and it left indentations in my hardwoods. You have to look hard but there is definitely tracks were the wheels rolled. That was more for potential buyers for they can tell the delivery guys ahead of time.

Had a side by side and have always wanted the freezer drawer on the bottom, but hubby did not agree. Fridge I wanted happened to be an open box item so he finally agreed to go with the freezer drawer on the bottom of the refrigerator. No problems whatever, great sales people, great deliverymen, great service. Love it, love it, love it and hubby does too. What more can I say?

    Buyer Beware

We bought this refrigerator in July 2013. It started out nicely. At first, the only problem was the ice maker would jam up the ice now and then. You have to open the door, open the back panel, rattle the ice container, and then close it all up again. We have never used the crushed ice function because of our previous fridge (a Kenmore side-by-side). On that one, the mechanism that pushes the ice down from the ice chest quit working one year and one week after purchase. Of course, they wouldn't fix it under warranty because the warranty expired the week before. Now, after 2 years and 5 months, we noticed the hinge for that flap seal between the french doors has cracked. Of course, it's not under warranty anymore, and who knows how much it will cost to replace. I have yet to find a local place to repair it. Also, the rubber gasket around both doors, which seals the cold air inside when they're closed, has grown mold that won't clean off. The fridge is also fairly noisy as fridges go, and has a rather wide EMF field when it's running. I get a headache if I stand near it for too long. The water dispenser provides water that tastes much better than our old fridge, but the water shoots out like a canon! If you've got a small juice glass under it, you're likely to get a bath in the process. The freezer part is nice, although things get lost at the bottom and it's hard to see what you have in there without emptying half of it. And opening the door exposes the entire drawer of food to warmer air, so stuff gets freezer-burned more easily. I do like the fact that it's a solid drawer, not wire, so smaller things don't fall through. One last thing. We bought the stainless steel version, which is literally impossible to keep free of finger prints and smudges. Even stainless steel cleaner doesn't clean it very well. I'm not sure I would buy this same freezer again. I definitely will never buy another Kenmore product! LG definitely makes a better product, but it's a shame they use cheap parts for things like hinges. They told me that was a "maintenance" thing, which the warranty wouldn't cover anyway. Greasing hinges is a maintenance thing, but I don't see how you can maintain a plastic cover that works as a hinge.

I like the size of the filter, it is small and does not take up valuable space in the fridge. The ice maker is much smaller than I am use to and I have to use the extra ice bin if company is coming over, but it isn't a hassle.

    Great Refrigerator

We just received this refrigerator. So far, so good. We read a lot of reviews on LG and Samsung and both were highly rated in both consumer reports and in the general reviews on the various websites. We settled on this model as it looked great and had a very nice layout and design. It might be a little louder than our previous fridge, but only just a little and it is not annoying by any stretch. We had to wait a week for this to be delivered, but it is a new model. The local delivery guys were great and on time. They brought it in and set it up and hauled away the old fridge and did it very quickly!

This is one of the best fridges I have had. It looks amazing and keeps all of our food super fresh, the filter makes the fridge smell really clean too. You won't regret it, it looks elegant without all the unnecessary add ons other fridges have.

    WORST PURCHASE EVER!

After fully researching new french door refrigerators for my newly remolded kitchen, I decided on this LG. I purchased back in Oct. of 2014 and now a mere 5 months later, my fridge is NOT cooling properly. LG's stellar customer service with technicians that do not work on weekends, is now causing hundreds of dollars of food to be wasted. Oh, and the so-called smart diagnostic tool is useless. Buy another fridge!

We recently switched our 15 year old Maytag. This refrigerator was quiet but since we have owned it for good 7-8 months now it's getting noisier and noisier. I don't exaggerate when I tell you that it's louder than our dishwasher.... Simply put it is!!! We have called LG and they sent a technician over.... But his response was that this is normal. If this is normal then this is a poor product. This refrigerator is good to look at but Beside that I struggle to find anything else that stands out.

    Not Worth The Money

This refrigerator stopped cooling shortly after the warranty had expired. I called LG for service options and they gave me someone so far away that they do not service my area. Talking to the local repairman he said this is typical for LG. If I wanted to pay the repair cost for a compressor myself it would basically cost the same as buying another refrigerator. I definitely do not recommend this product.

My wife and I bought this frig 14 months ago. After the first month we needed to have a water valve replaced. That would have been fine on its own but we recently lost all of our food in the freezer because it would not hold temp. We had LG come and take a look at it and it turned out the be a bad compressor with a freon leak and a possible bad board. The kicker is that the compressor is on back order and will not be in for at least 3 weeks. LGs tech was friendly and helpful but there costumer service was very poor. We are now on our way to buy a new frig and I can assure you it will not be another LG.

Love this fridge!! Great space on the inside & in the doors. I wish it had more ice capacity, but I would not give up space for it, so it works :-) The freezer is great, I've never had a freezer on the bottom, and will never have any other from now on! So much space & easy to organize everything. Very quiet. The water is cold, but there's not much of it. The water comes out pretty powerful, there are always water spots on the front. The couple of negative things are really no big deal, this fridge is awesome!

Had this fridge for 6 1/2 yrs when the compressor went out. LG will pay for the part, but labor was going to be $700. Scrapped it and bought a new GE. Later found out about the class action law suit against LG for their Fridge compressors, but it had to be 5 yrs old or less. NEVER AN LG APPLIANCE AGAIN.
