The taste and smell of the new ice is not tolerable. I called the tech who suggested we wait to see if the situation goes away. As it is not as as apparent, I suspect it goes away but waiting a month for ice is unacceptable. I’ve read that LG fridges are susceptible to this. We did not want the water dispenser so flushing the water line is not as easy.

We are also still waiting for the waterline to be hooked up.
