Because old secondary monitor was only 1440p. Window 11 is not handle 4K with 150% scales and 1440 at 100% scale. There are some weird lagging and position when dragging across the screens. Finally running this as second monitor. Both at 150% scale. No more lagging. Only wish was that back panel to be black

However, I ordered this monitor Open Box Excellent which should have had minimal cosmetic wear, all functionality, and all the necessary accessories. Even so, I was missing the DisplayPort cable and the screws to mount the monitor to the stand, and the USB ports on the monitor don't work. By the time I tried to return it, there were no more Open Box Excellent monitors available. I would've been able to live with this (I would've just bought a USB-C hub) but Best Buy wasn't willing to give me any sort of discount other than a complete return.

LG 27 UHD 4K DP USB C

Holding off on Apple Studio display for clamshell docking. This is a good cheap alternative for now. No rotation, tilt, or height adjustment on this model. Does provide 96 watt charging via USB C/ Display port and includes some USB B ports for printers, external mics, etc.

The other connections are disabled so if I connect a laptop and choose to change input my desktop them disconnects to it. I don't use the speakers often but they are decent.

I am a designer and this monior has high resolution. Also when I plug in to my mac, it is connected and charging at the same time. So perfect! This is what I wanted.

However, I found the Samsung 28” 4K UHD to be sharper and more preferable. This LG monitor also seemed to have its brightness fluctuate a little now and then, whereas the Samsung did not and the Samsung has also been less expensive & frequently on sale.
