Got this as an open box item for a great price. It was a bit cheaper than the comparable Samsung model that had not got very good ratings. The 4K picture is amazing and perfect for Xbox one X. The look is good...nothing apecial but attractive none the less. Great refresh rate and response time. The only downside is that it is a little flimsy, but this is an affordable model after all.

Now that I have owned this monitor for 4 years, I can say that it ts the best monitor that I have owned. I use it to game and watch 4k video. It is one of two monitors that I use for my rig. It easily competes with a lot of current monitors.

Great Value, Beautiful Picture, Sleek Design

This dropped to rock bottom on CyberMonday and I decided to buy and check it out. It's very sleek-looking, with such a thin bezel that it's hardly bigger than my HP 24 inch monitors (such as the HP ZR2440w) and could probably fit on their stands, possibly even in vertical mode. The included stand is good looking but does wobble some. Cables are included. On mini-dvi to hdmi and a macbook air I got 2560 x 1440 only, but with a diamond usb 4k adapter I got full resolution at 30 Hz. On Macbook pro 13 inch 2016 (older version, bought at Best Buy!) I got 60 Hz 4k easy. The picture is detailed and rich, but it does not seem as bright as my Nixeus 27 inch or my HP 2440w, which are both 350 nits. The LG is supposed to be 350 nits, but it might be I haven't figured out the right adjustment. Picture is a little blue. For what I paid I'm not complaining, but just wanted you to know it might take some adjustment. Great design, hope to brighten it a little. The control system is cool, a toggle switch underneath. Connections in the back all work. No dead pixels that I've noticed. Great deal!

A great looking monitor

A great looking monitor, but unfortunately, I could only connect it to my Lenova Yoga laptop via its micro HDMI port, hence the monitor did not run at 60 hz refresh rate, just 30hz. Not the fault of the monitor. I had to return it for a monitor running at a lower res (2560p) to get a refresh rate of 60 hz.

Really happy with the monitor

I have used this monitor for a week now and I am really happy with it. Although the default color tone is little bit cooler compared to my other monitors, I don't see too much of difference in other colors. I mainly use this for editing photos, videos (Netflix, youtube etc).
Has thin bezel, good brightness, really sharp images at 4K.
My only concern is that when it is at non-native resolution, like 2K, the text and images are not as sharp as 4K. This is a concern for me, because this monitor is connected to two different computers from different source inputs. And I have to settle with 2K resolution setting on one of the computer for this monitor, and its not sharp at 2K.
I have seen this issue with other 4K monitors as well, but hope that some day there will be a 4K monitor that will display every resolution supported as sharp as 4K resolution.

Excellent External Monitor For iMAC

Like many iMAC users, the LED display on our 2009 iMAC 27" is failing. Barring an expensive repair or replacement and considering our graphics card is still performing well, we opted for an external monitor to take up the slack. This monitor is great! Easy to set up and use. Great color. Love it.

This monitor is better than the 27UD69. why? because this monitor has a brightness level of 350 vs 300 of last year.
in fact i love this monitor so much i bought 3 and am running a triple 4k set up.
however, make sure you buy a monitor stand because the one provided is horrendous .

Read plenty of reviews and watch quite a few videos of this monitor before purchasing it. I currently use it in my office for gaming, watching Netflix or the like and some light computer work as well as recoding and writing music.
The good:
-Great screen, vibrant colors due to IPS technology.
-Simple menus to navigate and configure.
-Beautiful, simple design.
-Even without being able to use Freesync on the HDMI ports I don't notice any flickering while playing (not saying it may not be there, but I just haven't noticed any)
-Great price. Yes, it's a lot of money for many of us but you have to look at what you are getting for the money. 4k and IPS tech is worth the price tag.
The bad (these are not deal breakers, they are simply things I did not like and could improve to earn the perfect score):
-Wobbly stand (Come on Lg!)
-Freesync is only available through the DisplayPort
-Anti-glare screen (This again, is personal preference. I feel that the colors would "pop" so much more if the screen didn't have that Anti-glare coat)
All-in-all this I a great monitor for the price. It's hard to get something this good for the same price. Some new monitors will be coming out soon and we'll see how this matches against them but for now this is the best value.

99% RGB is awesome since I do work in Lightroom.
Matte screen prevents glare from my office light.
Screen is BRIGHT but can be turned down so no big deal.
SHARP. Everything is crisp and clear, but Windows 10 scaling makes a 4K UI small. Turned it up to 125% scaling so slightly better, but still a problem with Windows.
Gaming on it, there's a slight lag compared to my old 120Hz, 1ms, TN panel. Overclocked it to 71Hz so that's at least something, I guess.
Comes with DisplayPort and HDMI cable but they're pretty short, maybe 3ft.
Stand is wobbly. Not sure what LG was thinking but just touching the side of the monitor will make it wobble. It has a VESA mount but those that won't use it, good luck with the wobbles.

Been using this monitor for 4k gaming and it's met all my expectations. Also, text is extremely crisp and clear in normal apps. Plugged it into my windows 10 PC and it started working. Least amount of fussing I've had to do with a monitor in a long time.

Great monitor and no issue with the quality. Screen and colors look great, very high pixel density.
As an aside... Only issue is with the high resolution. I use this for work and have another smaller monitor with much lower resolution. Windows 7 on my work computer doesn't allow different screens to run at different resolutions, so you end up either scaling everything up or down however, not really an issue with the monitor though if it was over 30" might be a little easier to read. Hopefully work will upgrade to Windows 10 eventually to improve monitor scaling.
Also, my older MBP doesn't allow me to run it above 1080p, though not sure why (it should, theoretically, go to 1440p). Probably an Apple issue with older computers because I've tried using a newer MBP and it looks great.

I like this monitor a lot. Crisp details and good contrast/color. Just make sure that your graphics card can handle UHD before you purchase it. The software included allows you to do some cool stuff like have windows snap to different spots on the screen. The thin bezels are nice as well.

Using monitor with my gaming PC and XBOX ONE S. Lots of options for gamers and with a 5ms GTG, this monitor is a must for the price. IPS panel is great and color very vivid (still working out color calibration settings, but otherwise excellent!). Love the mini toggle joystick that controls the monitor menu - SO INTUITIVE and EASY to use! Excellent 4K quality when gaming and with UHD content (movies, Netflix, etc.). Monitor comes with drivers for both PC and Mac and a PDF manual on a CD. It also includes the stand, power supply, a DisplayPort cable and an HDMI cable.
An affordable, great quality 4K monitor for a variety of uses and a GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY!

Pros: 4k resolution is outstanding. Great color reproduction. These two factors are why you should buy this display.
Cons:
- Stand is pretty wimpy; knocked a star off for that.
- IPS display means you will get "backlight bleed" or glowing on very dark pictures. This is normal for the display technology, but this is the sacrifice you make for better color reproduction.
Neutral:
- Lower refresh rate. I've never noticed it, but if you play a ton of FPS games, you will want to find a TN or PLS panel with 1ms refresh rates.
- FreeSync isn't as amazing as AMD makes it out to be. Since the maximum refresh rate on this monitor is 60hz, anything over that won't see a huge benefit (although you'd need a beastly card to get over 60fps at 4k).

I didn't know much about the monitor. HD image is excellent. The monitor set up is OK, but not rock solid like the Apple Thunderbolt (which I have at primary residence). The Apple keyboard and track pad are great.

It is a great monitor for the price, especially since it is 4k. Even for a 60hz monitor it's still pretty great for playing games on 4k. Great pictures, great color. Would recommend to anyone looking for a budget 4k monitor.
